HOW MUSK 'GREW' TESLA - A CSS Excerpt Video

- This five-minute segment has been broken out of our longer form video by request so that it can be more easily shown to people needing a quick encapsulation of how Elon Musk grew Tesla to a trillion dollar valuation, and why the company has lost 60% of its market cap since then.
Original long form video here: • ROBYN DENHOLM - Tesla ...
I can’t stress this enough, it’s important that we share these short-form videos around other platforms and to our friends… this channel needs more recognition. In fact, our society would be utopian if we had an established organization like CSS existed which called “BS” on everyone every-time someone lied on camera.
Appreciate all the efforts to get the word out.

They're working for us.
According to Tesla shareholders, these are not lies, they're "overoptimistic forward-looking statements".
The best euphemism for pump and dump "currently alive"
And you have to roll your eyes at Musk's response to critics that point out his blatant lies and false promises by saying ''I may get the timeline wrong, but I get it done in the end''
- Oh really Musk??!!! reality and fact proves otherwise, but ok you salesman grifter and BLATANT liar!
Thunderf00t and Common sense skeptic were both correct about him from the start!
I'm really hoping that this is the year the general public fully catches onto what a fraud Musk truly is and turn their backs on him en mass.
Or "vast potential ready to be harvested next year". Always next year, never now.
@@rontheoracle He always claims that he can 'do it NOW', but it's only going to be available 'next year'.
Yep. This will be a VERY painful lesson for them. Knowing those idiots, they'll be lamenting their Tesla penny-stock with excuses like, "It would've worked if people had just worked with Elon instead of trying to run him into the ground. The haters are to blame for this." They always have an excuse as to why their dream didn't align with reality.
It is very hard to feel any sympathy towards Tesla shareholders. They just keep buying the Brooklyn Bridge all over again.
They’d get their money’s worth if tarpenning & eberhart were STILL running the tesla show! I don’t know if they’d b good bosses, but maybe make the low bar easily over muskrat!
If you have money to invest in stocks you will be ok.
They should not grant him the 50 Billion until he follows through with the "measuring contest" he proposed to Zuckerberg on July 10th 2023...
Or Tesla buyers. To be fair, a mate of mine did really well out of Tesla because he sold a few years ago.

The Hertz deal scale was what Toyota sells in 3 days, but it immediately added to Tesla's market cap twice the value of the whole Toyota market cap! You have to remember, the value of Toyota at present time (and of any other company) takes into account all its profits for the next 10 years or so. How can a non recurring deal, that small, even move the needle?
The "vibes," man.
What u mentioned and explained here is very interesting. It confirms to me Tesla is just hype, and hype go's away at some point. It still annoys me though that news outlets are now reporting on the mass firings at Tesla but none of them mentions that Musk is still seeking a 50 billion dollars bonus and is trying to move the company to Texas to accomplish that. Any company that is laying off 20% of their workforce should not paying any bonus to their CEO let alone the biggest one in history.

Why are people so damned nice to Musk?.
I call him Skum.
But then I like anagrams.
And neologisms.
The cold gas thruster idea is so stupid. The pressure required to lift a 2 ton car must be enormous! It would be extremely dangerous to be anywhere close to that car when it goes off. No way in hell that would be legal on public streets.
If I recall correctly, when Musk spoke about it with Joe Rogan didn't one of them say that it "could" allow the car to "make small hops/jumps?" I believe Joe may have said that the thrust could "help with cornering." Where, when and why would you be "taking a corner" in such a way that cold gas thrusters would be beneficial?
@@tdylanwhen cornering you are effectively generating a force outwards. Using a cold gas thruster you would be applying an opposite force to the force trying to keep you moving in the direction you were originally traveling in.
However it is laughable and so dumb only muskrats will fall for it. It will make the car unpredictable, you’ll be chucking a lot of outwards gas so anything in the way will be accelerated to probably supersonic speeds, it’s not going to last any appreciable amount of time and it running out part way through a corner would be probably fatal.
The pressure in the tank holding the air would be really high, what would happen in an accident if that tank was damaged? Explosion and the “I’m and engineer didn’t think this was any issue to put this potential bomb behind where you sit??!!
What it would be good for is cutting the 0-60 time. Although this again would accelerate anything caught in the area of influence to built like speeds.
And possibly showing the car going round a corner quicker than it could possibly do practically, so good for a video that will get the muskrats excited but no practical use. It’s almost like he’s hyping something just to pump the price isn’t it?
The man has zero engineering skills, but does have the ability to listen to people that do and then fool people that don’t.
@@davideyres955Thunderfoot made a video elaborating on some of the reasons the cold gas thruster is imbecilic. One of my arguments is: pretend we are in a world where cold gas thruster technology adds negligible weight to the vehicle, has no affect on the things around the vehicle when activated, and can be used repeatedly without the need to refill, when in your every day life would anyone benefit from "pushing the thruster button" to help them turn a corner during their daily commute? In agreement with one of your points, it might be beneficial for an initial "forward thrust," but unless you live in the Fast and Furious universe, do we really want a55holes out there with a "cold gas thrust" turbo booster button equipped to their "FSD" Cyber truck as they attempt to speed through a yellow traffic light, or "take a sharp corner?" If it was marketed as something to be added to Tesla's Formula One race cars, maybe. But something to put in the vehicles of average Joes that are eager to show it off? Heck no!

I have a friend who I consider to be very smart, and he said to me the other day, “the thing that pisses me off about people who hate Elon is the fact that he delivers on what he says” that is the statement that has come out of the mouth of somebody who has taken Elon at his word, or only listen to the fanboys who have no technical real world experiences with these products or an unbiased engineering background. It’s fine to say that he always achieve what he says, when you aren’t paying that much attention to what he actually said at the time, or how the goalposts keep getting moved in order to make everything an achievement even when a contradicts or the actual goal was. Short, to people paying not that much attention, it’s easy to look like everything is swell! And that is literally Elon’s business strategy in a nutshell. Slide things under the noses of people who don’t know any better, walk away with their money, and blame it on everybody else if they have a problem.
Looking forward to your smart friend's response to this video, then :)
It seems you mistook your friend’s hard-work and education as intelligence
@@alphamineron maybe, but everybody is smart in some directions and absolutely dumb as a post in others.

It's interesting seeing all the stuff related to the Tesla layoffs. A lot of current and former employees starting to be exposed to the fact that Musk is for the most part you're run of the mill corporate billionaire. They've been quite shocked to learn that the way you get notified of being laid off from all corporations is via an impersonal e-mail. I suppose they will also have a tough time with not being told if and when the layoffs are done as they're only halfway through.
Some were not even informed and found out when trying to go to work
Every time I see that "like owning a horse" quote, I always think of that woman Musk tried to gift a horse but got rejected. Ive not looked at the chronology of that, but my headcanon says its linked.

I wish he'd bloody make up his mind. Are my robotaxis going to be FSD, or will I need to buy robots to drive them? When can I get my boring company machines on the Moon; or Mars? I need to know these things so that I can plan out my Space-Hyperloop Robo-Taxi empire.
I don't think anyone has ever implied anything other than that the robotaxis will be self driving. The car is the robot. The Boring Company digs tunnels, which doesn't really have anything to do with the moon or Mars.
And Space-hyperloop Robo-Taxi empire?
The idea of a hyperloop is a train in an evacuated tube. Since there is already a vacuum in space, a space-hyperloop would just be .... a train in space. And a train is not a taxi. Also, Elon Musk never owned or ran any hyperloop company, he just hyped the concept up for a short amount of time. So it's not super relevant, especially in regards to Tesla's inflated stock value.
Tesla is not the Boring Company, Tesla is not SpaceX, Tesla has nothing to do with hyperloop.

On a sidenote, Elmo's probably going to get Starlink obliterated from Brazil due to his own fault. Looking forward to seeing the crapshow if that happens!
Like Brazil won't allow people to buy the relievers? It would be kind of hard to stop use without SpaceX's co-operation.
Dead easy, actually, since the sats need to hit ground stations that telecoms operate.
@@commonsenseskeptic Would you happen to have a video in your catalog on that? I would think that they wouldn't need that many ground stations, at least less than the number of nations on Earth. If Brazil has uncontrolled connections to the rest of the world I would have figured access to Brazilian internet via Starlink would be unhindered.
@@12pentaborane That’s not how starlink works. It’s far more like a paid for tunnel in the sky. This is why Musk was able to switch off access for the Ukrainians after charging them about 400% the going rate. Suddenly they had no starlink and a whole bunch of people died when their battlefield comms went offline.
in the old days, the premier tech company IBM had very strict rules (ie business ethics) on making product announcements for fear that investors would act on those and then hold IBM to those implied promises
Elon Musk, I'll get someone to Mars in 10 yrs, that was 12 yrs. 🙄
he's cutting heads to prep the company for sale to a buyer who doesn't need all the staff and doesn't want to have to lay off a huge % of the company after buying it. Maybe before the end of the year. maybe hoping to not have the sale called "so and so is saving tesla from bankruptcy via bargain buyout deal" - maybe he's even looking to China for a deal. IMHO, elon IS a cold gas thruster and he's nearing the end of his meth cycle. talking up "robotaxi" shit for _this year_ is just completely delusional... zero chance that stuff is allowed on the roads after recent investigations. FSD is a killer.
Does anyone remember the Tesla phone?!?!
An assessment of Elon Musk:
Amateurishness is one of Elon’s dominant traits. He has never learned a profession and basically has always remained an outsider in all fields of endeavor. Like many self-taught people, Elon has no idea what real specialized knowledge really means. Without any sense of the complexities of any great task, he boldly assumes one function after another. Unburdened by standard ideas, his quick intelligence sometimes conceives unusual measures which a specialist would not have hit on at all.
The victories of the early years of Elon’s business career can literally be attributed to his ignorance of the rules of the game and his layman's delight in decision making. Since opposing sides were trained to apply rules which Elon’s self-taught autocratic mind did not know and did not use, he achieved surprises. These audacities, coupled with financial superiority, were the basis of his early successes.
But now that setbacks have occurred he has suffered shipwreck, like most untrained people. Now his ignorance of the rules of the game are revealed as another kind of incompetence; now his defects are no longer strengths. The greater the failures become, the more obstinately his incurable amateurishness comes to the fore. The tendency to wild decisions has long been Elon’s forte; now it is speeding his downfall.
NOTE: This is a paraphrase of the assessment of Hitler that Albert Speer (a German architect who served as the Minister of Armaments and War Production in Nazi Germany during most of World War II) wrote in his memoirs, “Inside the Third Reich”. This was quoted in the video entitled “207 - Manstein Goes Great War Style - WW2 - August 13, 1943” on the UA-cam channel with the title of “World War Two”.
Perfect.
Great Video! I always thought that Musk was a psychopath. Unfortunately, many of his sycophants exhibit similar tendencies. I've been shorting Tesla for several years and will continue to do so.

I kind of believe Elon is hard up for cash despite the speculations disseminated stories across the internet of how much he's worth. It only makes sense this is the reason that he's trying to extract this much money from Tesla shareholders since they are easiest to milk.
So he lied to inflate his stock value… isn’t that some kind of…crime???
Correct you are. He spends millions settling out of court for his deceptive behavior. Musk has always behaved in this manner.
No compensation? Wasnt he the richest person on earth until recently? I wonder where that wealth came from.
And why does he "need" more?
yes and where did he get the money to buy Twitter? To start the Boring company and all other stupid ideas?

Just... Just hold up for a few weeks man, I know my boy Elon can get my portfolio into the black and now that's gonna be even harder with you telling everyone to vote against giving him proper motivation - which is 1/4 of the current market cap - to lock him down for the next 5 years. He isn't our slave, he deserves a living wage for maintaining his contractually obligated fiduciary responsibilities.

Great video! Thank you so much! I am so tired of Elon cultist telling me what a genius he is. One thing they love to say is that Eli should be getting the $56 billion bonus because of all the tremendous value that he has brought to Tesla. What a crock!
He only has one job. To make investors rich. That's why he has to constantly announce outlandish & cartoonish projects just to generate hype. It doesn't matter if he never fulfills his promises because he'll simply announce the next hype project.
More importantly, how he set it up for failure.
After all said and done; what kind of mindset would still support this guy, for any project or promise of his? When did we start going behind billionaires in a cult-like fashion. How come he is not confronted by legal authorities with all he has done. Seems like accountability does not apply to super-rich?
