The very first title in the series.
Plot: 'In the year 20XX, robots developed to assist mankind are commonplace thanks to the efforts of renowned robot designer Dr. Light. However, one day, these robots go out of control and start attacking humans, among them six advanced humanoid robots created by Dr. Light for industrial purposes. Known as the "Robot Masters", they consist of Cut Man, Guts Man, Ice Man, Bomb Man, Fire Man, and Elec Man. Dr. Light realizes that the culprit responsible for these attacks is his old rival Dr. Wily, but is unsure of what to do. His helper robot, Rock, having a strong sense of justice, offers to be converted into a fighting robot to stop Dr. Wily's plans, dubbing himself Mega Man.'
This longplay replaces the old video since it had bad quality overall. I also made sure to collect the Magnet Beam (which requires the Super Arm powerup from Guts Man).

One of my favorite Megaman games and Capcom's Flagship character! It's the first thing I think about when you say Capcom! This one is really not too difficult and a lot of fun. I love the original and the Powered Up! Version too. I can easily beat this game in less than a hour no problem. It's the only NES megaman game with a point system too.

I already owned Mega Man 2 when it came out and a friend of mine in gym class told me he had Mega Man and how cool the game was and such and I ask my mom to get me a copy and we went to Toys R Us and they had it for $37 or $32 I can't remember the exact price, but it was around there and that cheap because most NES games costed $49.99 then. Still own my copy and have beaten this game countless times. Great play through :)
