This has popped up on my feed and believe it or not I went to view hUEY in South wales before you bought it. Car had a lovely character to him but was concerned about bulkhead repair and leaking transfer box as you’ve pointed out. Can’t wait to see what you do with him and get the bulkhead fixed!
I wish I was as smart as you. I bought him blind like an idiot and the chap that sold him said the bulkhead and chassis was perfect. I’ll never buy blind again. I don’t think I’ll make any money on it but I’m really enjoying the process.
Ha I wasn’t smart probably would have bought him second viewing but you beat me to the punch 😂. You’ve done a great job with the interior and exactly what I would have done. I’ve subscribed and can’t wait to see when you finish up. I’m sure the bulkhead will be a simple patch repair of a section. All landys leak- should be possible to change gasket yourself and ptfe tape the drain plug! I’ve found youtubers such as my911, steam wally, maximus ironthumper, Geoffrey Croker and, now you, invaluable for knowledge. I’m still trying to find my project so really enjoying your free videos already. Keep it up!
Keep it as original as you can clean it paint the wheels and the roof. Canvas roof on the back . I been looking at getting a series 3 and doing just that
Would definitely stick with the original rims and classic rugged tires. Just give them a cleanup and re-spray. I would keep it as original as possible. Great find love it!!
what a beauty!!! i am a series III owner too, mine is marine blue. swb, petrol ..of course...LHD--greetings from germany,,, for bigger wheels, maybe you need longer bolts ..
What a lovely original Landy. Love the wheels. Know you don't and it's your car. Just no chequer plate. Please. :)
Hahaha, I feel the same way about chequer plate don't worry. Thanks for the comment.
Just bought a73 Landy as well!! Total Classic!! How much?? Let me know…… thanks, Jerry

Ah good to know! It’s to know what to do but I’m leaning towards agreeing with you.
Go for the classic skinny 600x16 off-road tyres on original rims
Thank you, I’ll look into that.
if it doesn't leak how would you know when your out of oil
Lucky man save this now❤
it’s a good looker. some cosmetic stuff to make her look even better. bulkhead a worry though , pricey new to replace if it’s scruffy underneath
No! The more dents , the better it looks.
A „Series“ Land Rover doesn't drip or has an oil leak, he just marks his new territory!
Ha! Well he’s marking it up really good.

Thank you! I love it too. I already think I’m going to struggle to sell it 😅 I’m really conflicted about wheels… not sure what I’ll do.
classic car, keep the classic steel rims-new paint and new tyres 750-16...or 215- 85 -16 . or 205-80 -16 @@DaleReubin
may i ask.. how much was this landrover in the UK? about-----XXXX Pound?
Yes, sure, it was £7100
I'm thinking this too. I might find a better size tyre to fill the wheel well a bit and get the steel wheels refurbished
Saw this one floating about on Marketplace! Ultimately decided no but I hope you're enjoying!!
Interesting…. What put you off? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
@@DaleReubin just seeing this now!! Wanted a bit more of a project 😂
Didnt black number plate fail to be legal on post 1972 k reg vehicles?
I don’t know 🤷🏼♂️ did it?

There are only land rovers that do not leak oil, those without oil 😂.
The Pick Up bodies are quite desirable, as the body style can be hard to get. I personally don't like the canvas roof converted cars, it looks cheap.
That's good to know. I've fallen in love with this little pickup!
Really awesome project. Good luck!
Thank you! I’m looking forward to it!
