I live and work in Jamaica. I don’t wear expensive jewelry, handbags and electronics. I almost had my work phone stolen from me a few weeks ago and all I was doing was jogging. I’m always on high alert. Be safe.

I'M A JAMAICAN - The most disturbing thing is the camera that was stolen, yes it could have happened anywhere in the world including Antigua, however I think that same so call DJ was the one that stole the camera since he was paying attention to what was left on the table, too much selfishness in the world today, what I can get for myself, instead of returning it back to the owner, especially a tourist that would leave a good impression on the tourist about the people of JA, priceless positive perception about the people of JA if the camera was return, Event planner not knowing what time of the cake being cut is no big deal, some event planner only know what time the wedding start, they don't know what time bride & groom will kiss, what time they will dance, cake cut, what time bride will throw that thing in the air for other females to catch.

My first time watching, I’m from Jamaica and I agree with you and believe your experience with customer service; I’ve experienced it also when I go back after living in the states for so many years. I however think that some of your issues were self inflicted. First of all you should know the correct address where you we’re going to be staying before you go through immigration. Secondly , you should have known that if you leave something of value unattended in most places in the world, it’s likely that someone will steal it. I don’t understand how a person from the Caribbean who knows the prevailing attitude against jamaica and Jamaicans , would travel there unprepared for what you experienced. It is well known fact in the English speaking Caribbean that Jamaicans and Guyanese face hostility, well not do much for Guyanese these days since they are on the verge of becoming one of the richest countries in the world. Even the UK is offering it’s citizens visa free travel these days. Anyway a whatever your motive for doing this vlog , it’s effect on Jamaica will be minimal. To tourist and other visitors, jamaica is like the boyfriend who beats his girlfriend and she keeps running back to him.

I get what you're saying, my motive was just to talk about what happened in Jamaica though. As human beings we are creatures of habit, we revert to what we are used to doing. In Antigua, our addresses don't have a number attached to it. That's what was missing from my address in Jamaica. I get your point through

Your final paragraph says it all. Spare us the jamaican/guyanese explanation. Both of you have a history of drug trafficking, prostitution, and criminal activity throughout the Caribbean. The Bahamas and Antigua Barbuda in particular. The only Caribbean island who've put both of you in your place are those Bajans next door. Kudos to dem' for exposing your wicked behavior. Exporting lawlessness and expect red carpet treatment when entering other Caribbean islands give us a G D break ..🇰🇳🇩🇲🇧🇸🇧🇧🇻🇨🇦🇬

I’m not gonna make any excuse for any criminal doesn’t matter where they’re from. I condemn crime on any level. However, just understand the social dynamics of the Caribbean, if your islands weren’t so small , your citizens would be committing crimes at the same rate as these larger islands. It’s because there’s no where to run and hid from authorities. Unless of course you take to the sea or the Atlantic in a boat.

@@donaldbarnett156 Foolishness! Do the math it still wouldn't equate to what you guys do annually to your children, women and elderly. Denial of your # one problem is another one of your many problems. Nothing to see here, it happens everywhere attitude.

@@user-yx4ok7oe6d Don’t refer to me as you guys, I’m not in the tribalism boat. I said what I said and that is the fact. Don’t use a broad brush to paint an entire group of people. I don’t know what race you identify with but if I’m to guess I would say you are of African descent. Only Afro Caribbean talk the way you do playing who’s the better nigger. When all is said and done, life is short and we die rot and turn to dust. What’s the point?

PEOPLE HAVE LOST PASSPORT & LAPTOP COMPUTER IN JAMAICA - And have it return in Jamaica, by having it announce on the radio station + a reward was also given to the person that returned it. I don't believe in negative stereotype of people in any country, & especially black people on planet earth.💪🏾💪🏾

You went to Jamaica with your disdain and dislikes for Jamaicans so you would probably notice anything you deems aweful about Jamaica stop it because your things that got stolen would have probably got in Antigua I am so angry to hear you slate it like we are the worst I know we have crime over there but you are going over the top you can just hear your hatered for your fellow carrbiean brothers and sisters then just before you entered the bread shop you said that some people don’t liked to be on camera how contradictory

Hi mama Jen... I'm sorry you took my experience the as hatred towards Jamaicans. That wasn't my intention at all, I love all Caribbean people... I can't hate Jamaicans, if I did I'd have to hate myself. I merely stated my personal experience and what happened to me personally, no hate. Maybe you have a different experience, but I'm always told to not use my phone in public places. I was told not to take certain things when I visit downtown to shop. These things do not happening in Antigua, I've left countless things all over Antigua because I've been doing this for a while. I call the next day and I received my things. And you're making a point of privacy because some people do not like to be filmed. It's not the same as you have to be careful everywhere when you go places. I Know that everyone likes to defend their country but you need to be fair and call out things that are unfair and not try to take up for bad things that happened.

I’m so sorry of your experience in Jamaica. I’m an Antiguan living in Jamaica. I will be in Antigua in November. It is not extreme in your experience. Jamaica is beautiful place to visit, but be alert at all times. Walk good.
