Seeing this new wave… I love the command bar since macOS Sherlock and later Butler. Now I use it in Arc.. on Wordpress it’s not unheard of entirely as well … there is Turbo Admin, now free but the developer has started working aagain so it’s a side project. Looking forward where this can go. Isn’t Wordpress itself also developing something similar?
I had seen turbo admin but it didn’t have that…. ✨aesthetic✨ and Brian coords told me on Twitter that Wordpress.com has a core version. But again only for wordpress.com users.
Turbo Admin dev here. Thanks, Max. It was always a side project. It's not free, but I consider it to be stupidly good value for money. And it's a magical browser extension that works on ALL of your WordPress sites without needing a plugin to be installed. I love that there is innovation in this space. It's GREAT to see CommandUI and I can't wait to try it. It looks really slick. But from my point of view, it's just really nice to see people excited about command bars/palettes! 😃
@@nickarcecosorry you didn’t like my clumsy design. I’m a developer and I don’t really do the sparkles! Perhaps this will improve at some point. As command palettes have become more common a standard aesthetic seems to have emerged, partly driven by some JavaScript libraries that do the visuals for you. Perhaps you’ll look again at some point?
I honestly initially thought the command bar was going to add the padding and create the ACF groups automagically just by typing the commands…lol. Hoping it become the AI of Wordpress that we are all looking for:)
I posted about this a couple of days ago in Circle ACSS, Nick!
Your WP response times are pretty impressive. Not sure if you sped up the video...? Is this a local host install?
@@robertgood6828 it’s a local host however the closest hosting I have found that performs like a local install is with webnestify.cloud
if you would like a demo I can show you the speed of my website that runs on webnestify just DM me on twitter
@@nickarceco Thank you for shout out 👍
@robertgood6828 Thank you for comparing it to localhost 🙏 Fortunately it is fully production environment in the cloud.
This will definitely speed up the workflow. Checking it out now. Also, what is the checklist you use that pops up like that? I need that!
That was actually just a graphic for the video however a software that does that would be great!
😀Classic WordPress 0:12
Lowercase "p"...this dude serves no master
I also never say thank you to chat gpt.
@@nickarceco you're gonna be in trouble when the Tesla bots take over 😬😬

I was about to suggest you to implement the open in a new tab shortcut, happy to see that you've already implemented it 👍🏼
The dev had that already down. I had a few more suggestions for them but he was already on top of those suggestions.
I'm offended i didn't get a code lol i'm going to bash this plugin and say it useless!
hahahaha, this comment is a joke
