This is an issue that's heavily overlooked. still havent found a fix for this issue in years

@@jackedward.kashyyyk You need to go in the registry editor and change the Default, Empty, Full folders and add ,6 on the end. Click on the following in registry editor -- Key Current User, Software, Microsoft, Windows, Current, Explorer, CLSID, (next one is with the numbers starting with 64), Default Icon. Click on all three folders one at at time and add ,0 on the end. Trust this helps

You have to do a minor registry edit. In registry editor navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/CLSID/645.../DefaultIcon. You should see three strings inside (default, empty, and full) On each one right click and then select modify, at the end of each one (default, empty, full) add a comma and a zero. ,0 Then close registry editor and restart your PC.
