The fun fact is that the girls from The Warning are great fans of Maneskin, specially Dany. Rude comments come from rude fans..actually all the members from both bands are cute and lovely people. And i think we must grateful to Maneskin e the Warning because they are giving a new opportunity for this generation to appreciate live music❤
Comparing bands is stupid. It isn't a competition. Music is art, it's language. If we all liked the same thing there wouldn't be any variety at all.

Mahalo Justin for this reaction! This is the first Maneskin song I have ever listened to! Yes, I've been living under a rock...but the ROCK I've been under is spelled The Warning! I realize that every genre of Rock has it's place under the sun and that every band pulls at a listeners heart strings differently than another. The Warning affects my mind/heart like very few bands have. Kudos to Maneskin for their contribution to 21st.century rock, but for now, my heart, mind and ears are for The Warning. Thank you!

When I watch these two very different bands, I know rock is in good hands. One of them is so much fun to listen to it's just like a party, but the other changed me. I now see my musical life as BTW (Before the Warning) and ATW, they mean that much to me. Great reaction!

Both are great bands. Although I'm a big fan of the Warning, Maneskin music is innovative, combining rock funk and disco. Dany loves Maneskin as well.

Ringraziamo che abbiamo due buone band giovani che fanno musica come si deve senza scemenze trap, pop scadente o rap di quart'ordine....... alla fine, si possono apprezzare entrambe le band per motivi diversi o preferirne una all'altra, o ascoltare altro.

when MTV production workers go to work knowing that they'll have put up with plastic garbage everyday like when factory workers go to work to do monotonous work but when bands like The Warning come on , it's their version of field trip day and snacks.

Both bands have such great energy. I like watching each for different reasons. I'm happy for the new good rock music they both bring.

It's interesting to see how each band displays their confidence differently. Måneskin is "we're here to have a party and if you want to come along, let's go!" Whereas Dany's side-eye death stare at 5:20 is like "none of y'all have heard of us, but y'all gonna remember us!" And by the time Pau does her head-bob at 8:00, that room's a party too.

I don't discuss personal tastes because they're just that, personal, but I have something to say about people who don't know what they're talking about: people who say that Maneskin have no energy compared to TW, please go to a Maneskin concert and then see what energy and connection to the audience and pure joy are.... and I don't think you should judge a band value just from a performance at an overproduced simil TV show (because that's what basically the VMA is like) where all the performances for all the acts are coreographed, not just Maneskin's...
Last, being shirtless or fully covered is a way to express oneself, it's like choosing to dye ones hair or wear heels instead of flats, it has nothing to do with the music and it shouldn't diminish your capability to appreciate music just because you don't like the artist dressing style...some people who are not used to dress nicely or refuse aesthetic just dismiss Maneskin by prejudice which I think is a waste.
Cheers for defending your band without resorting to insulting the other band in question, or directing your defenses at any particular person in an aggressive way. Class.

I didn't say that TW aren't good or aren't impressive, for me it's not a question of who is better because it's a matter of personal taste and I don't criticize those who don't like Maneskin after they have listened to their music and found it not to their taste but I do criticize those who dislike Maneskin for silly reasons based on prejudice and declare their music is bad when they probably have just listened to half a song. And to say that anybody is taking off a shirt has a distraction to bad music is just nonsense: there's been plenty of artists who has performed with no shirt or worse and their music was perfectly fine. Clothing are a way of expression no more no less just because you don't get it it's not a good reason to speculate about it and dismiss the music that apparently you know very little about... wouldn't be more honest to limit yourself to simply say you don't like them?
Måneskin is on a different level.
Imagine. Classically trained pianists, scholarship holders at Berklee College of Music, "featured Artists" from brands like Sabian, Spector, PRS and MORE!!! Formed in real scenarios not in television forums, obviously there are levels

In this era, especially in Italy, making music is difficult and one does everything possible to be successful, from playing on the streets, through television formats, playing as protagonists in the main world festivals, playing in sold-out stadiums, ending to do their own sold-out world tours. @@art3mide644 Hence the difference, while the fantastic Italian band developed before the eyes of the viewers in the contests they participated. TW did it from all kinds of scenarios. And with respect to musical background, while some are solvent with their instruments, others are "featured artists"

Maneskin have been playing together since 2016, that is, when they were 17, 15 and 14 years old and before then they played in other bands.
All of them have studied the instruments they play (they don't magically play them. There are videos of Victoria who is about 8 years old playing the guitar. As well as Thomas.
Victoria plays bass, guitar and piano, Ethan plays drums, bass and guitar), plus in that period they played everywhere, on the street, in clubs.
In 2017 they made Xfactor which means only 2 months of television.
After which they toured in Italy and Europe, work their way up and wrote records, until the definitive explosion. and so on with tours etc. they haven't stopped performing live for three years on world stages.
I honestly don't understand what the brands of the instruments you continually mention have to do with it.
For what it's worth, there are three years of orders for the Danelectro Longhorn that Victoria plays because a lot of girls want to play bass after seeing her.

Hey Justin! I really dig Maneskin. They have a bit of Muse mixed with The Cult vibe, to me. The singer has a great rock voice.

El rock evoluciona constantemente, cada quien sus gustos, la diferencia de warning es que cantan diferentes géneros no es heavy, ellas es hard rock, y asi como te cantan baladas con letras que no cualquiera las entiende porque es como poesía pura, te pueden tocar un rock pesado, y toda su música es diferente y tiene un ritmo que te atrae, no todo es grito y energía como el grupo italiano, y ademas son jóvenes y claro que van evolucionar, el otro grupo tiene mas tiempo y las ideas se acaban, ellas tienen mucho camino por recorrer y tienen grandes compositoras como paulina, dany y ale, las ideas todavía estan a flor de piel, a parte la voz de dany, por favor, esta en otro nivel. Ellas, les puedo asegurar, sin quitarle mérito al otro grupo que ya lo he escuchado, los van a revasar en fama, dentro de muy poco. Ahora si les gusta el grupo italiano que lógico tiene mas tiempo, aunque casi ni los conozco, pero ya he escuchado su música es casi lo mismo, su sonido y es mas energía pero no les veo esos matices en sus letras y que hacen la música sea pegajosa. I won't yuck anyone's yum. It comes down to personal taste at the end of the day. But for me, it's all about The Warning right now, and I'll tell you why. Their music is fresh, but familiar all at the same time. Someone could say, "It's already been done," and they could be right; however, it's different than what is being done right now. I have The Warning tracks mixed in with my Classic Rock playlist, and I mean Led Zeppline, Black Sabbath, ACDC, and even The Rolling Stones, and other CR bands. When The Warning is played in the mix, their music simply fits right in! Someone who doesn't know Rock would have never guessed that they are current. So, The Warning is good old fashion Rock-n-Roll. What makes them stand out today? They are bringing back MELODY! Listen to all the rock today, and tell me it doesn't all sound the same. Even this group Maneskin; I was listening to them, and yeah, they sound alright, but the melody is plain. The Warning is bringing back the melodies, and the hooks, and they're doing it with a youthful energy, and they mean business but having the time of their lives as well. Anywho, that's my two cents. Everyone is welcome to agree, or agree to disagree. Peace!
you should listen not only to the songs from Maneskin's latest album, but to the ones in Italian from the previous albums (in nome del padre, torna a casa, coraline, zitti e Buoni, la paura del buio, le parole lontane) to get a broader view. I've listened to both bands and the ones who always make the same music (heavy metal) are the warnings,
while maneskins transition from one gender to another.

It's always wrong to make comparisons between bands of different rock genres and different fame, and furthermore musical tastes and preferences are a personal matter. That said, I'm just putting some parallel data here.
Måneskin gave a concert on the Rush world tour in Mexico City on October 20, 2023: 21,000 spectators at the Palacio de los Deportes, costs from $720 to $1,776, all tickets sold out.
The Warning celebrated their (10-year career) with a concert in Mexico City on October 28, 2023: 7,500 spectators at the Pepsi Center, costs from $720 to $1,800, all tickets sold out.
Same period in "Mexico City", and I won't add anything else.

but they only make heavy metal. Time will tell what both bands will be able to do and how far they will go. Maneskin are very visually interesting, always, and attractive, but the warning song writing is much more interesting to me, and in this particular show the energy of the warning and the heaviness of the warning completely blew away Maneskin. That isn’t always true, but it sure was this time!

@@grunfeldzacar6111 Måneskin's sheer lightning, Damiano's voice is a stand out in the current music world, Vic's bass is front and center, Thomas solos are fantastic and Ethan's drums are the heart of the band.
I haven't been this hooked on a band since Freddie Mercury died in the nineties.

He's nearsighted, so he doesn't really see the crowd all that well. Pretty much everything more than a few feet away from him is a blur. (or so he said in an interview)
I'd imagine that might make him look a bit awkward.
Ethan's drumming is more musical than most rock drummers I hear these days. I am listening more than looking, but I must say his technique, if you watch it, is also quite good.

At first listen of manskin the music does not grab me, it does not pull me in. The Warning on the other hand at first listen it just pulled me in big time! I said What? Wait WHAT! Yes the Warning all the way!!👍🤟

At 8:40 when you did your cover you didn’t add the accent bend on the strings on the fret to give that extra flavor like Dany you played the same way as before the breakdown , if you notice she plays the main riff in this breakdown slightly different adding a slight bend of the strings to give the main riff a lil more carry and sauce , you didn’t do that on your cover . Important detail to the feel of the breakdown it gives that edge
To hear them - a bit like side by side is ... interesting. I like Maneskin cause they're somehow refreshing for the whole Pop-Rock-Scene. What can I say to "The Warning"? They're not even refreshing the Rock-Genre - they are re-building it right in front of our eyes. The main difference between these two bands may be that the one is more Pop, the other is more Rock. Well, I'm an old rocker, you don't need to ask for which I would decide if I need to. But well - that's not really the point. Why should I decide between two better (or best) ones? My bigger problem is that so so many people decide to listen to really boring Pop-musik that's being done nowadays. So ... we need them both! That's being said I'm quiete on the same line than Justin Pierce :-)
And well - they're still searching their roof at MTVs that's been blown away by The Warning ;-)

The Warning has a bunch of great live shows up on their channel. Their 3 song Tedx performance in 2017 with little speeches in between is legendary. The live debut and full playthrough of their concept album in 2018 at Lunario is legendary. And many more since then.
You can't beat Teatro Metro for the production and how well-honed the band is, but they've been full-blown high-energy performers for many years. Pau has really mellowed out a bit tbh.
QOTMS is LEGENDARY! I still get amazed when i go from "listening" to "LISTENING",,the lyrics, the intricacies of the arrangements,, conjured up by children?? Come on now!!!
different bands different genres……. but... Maneskin could sound like them, but they absolutely wouldn't be able to play and sing The Lonliest and Trastevere, or Valentine or Coraline, I don't know if you know what I mean 👋

The warning is the best
Of course, music is a matter of taste: the difference is that Maneskin have their own sound while The Warning are good but sound classic. In twenty years we will see but I doubt that the three girls will go further than this: Maneskin are already much further and continue to grow. The difference in appeal to the new generations is incomparable.

I tried but I just couldn't make it through the Maneskin song. What a mess. It's like everything else on the charts in terms of song writing and construction, pretty generic pop music. They're a party band! They seem fine at being that! They put on a show that suits their vibe, but it's like the antithesis of rock or musicianship. Then we have the Warning demonstrating everything that rock can be today, so inspiring! MTV crushed the audio, even if the camera work was pretty suspect. Fun experiment: flip back and forth between the songs at random points for five seconds and listen to the wild difference in quality of sound emitting from each band. If they had let the Warning take the main stage with this they would be the talk of the event.
When I heard TW I was immediately hooked and the riffs of their musical creations remained all the time until I heard another of their melodies and then these new riffs stayed in my head only until the next ones... and they were gone also becoming my favorites.
The same thing happened with each of their songs, with all of them.
This is the second time I've listened to Maneskin, they sound good, their sound is pleasant, but they didn't make me feel any emotion and right now I only remember their stage theatricality... and that's it. They are not unforgettable.

So I'm gonna be the voice for Maneskin since most the comments made it a comparison video..I like both bands but The Warning doesn't hold my attention and get me excited for songs like Maneskin. .the Warning is good but boring as far as performing..I am very much into the performance as the music as I live music. @@clelia7820In fact I have not seen them live but on internet I have seen some videos of live performing of Maneskin but my atention was only visually over them not the sound of the music, vocal singer has true vocal style but musically speaking did not attracted to me. With TW was opposite side, their performance, attitude and music was the Best elements of this band

For example, i know that The Warning have done "take one" for soundcheck and don't used synch, background music or whatever! The only group at VMA's that played fully live! Musically they are another things, believe me

I read a lot of comments from people who don't understand anything about rock! Confusing hard rock with heavy metal is really serious, it implies the inability to distinguish a genre that is part of the golden age of rock, with something born from its historical decline. The Maneskin, differ from these The Warning, represent the Arabian phoenix of a defunct golden genre, but thanks to them resurrected in a contemporary form for this "magical rebirth".

I will sound very biased, but there's a reason. I tried getting into Maneskin and they're ok, but something was just meh. I might be the only one seeing this, but Maneskin was cringe. The voice sounded bad, the faces felt corny and forced, I didn't get raw energy from most of them, it felt overly rehearsed and awkward at times.
They weren't completely bad, because they can play so no knock there. The song is decent. But TW is a different beast altogether. Better voices, better song, authentic energy, easily more polished without appearing to be overly choreographed.
I do not understand Maneskin's appeal. The guitarist is good but the singer is awful.
Same with me. I do enjoy Maneskin music, but the vocal sometimes is just too much for me. And their looks are distracting.
I've been totally into the Warning, it's like everything is perfect with them.
For the record, I actually typically don’t like a singing harmonizing rock band, being a punk rock fan first and foremost I prefer raw flawed vocals which is ironic. But something about Maneskin’s vocals don’t feel right, at least not in this performance. I suppose TW raises one’s standards and expectations when doing a side by side. It’s almost like being content with a 720p display until you have a direct comparison with a 5k monitor.

The Warning are monotonous. always that monotonous noise. They can't do anything different, they practically get tired.
Maneskin are a continuous evolution of rock sounds and other genres. You never get tired of listening and the continuous surprise of their evolution.

Saw Maneskin's last tour date 19th December at Manchester. So much variety, stage presence, energy. Best gig I have been to for 30 years.
The warning sound derivative and not new at all, so thst's why some people find it easy to get into. Måneskin takes some time to get into, but so rewarding and different.

For me it's the other way around. I just by far prefer Måneskin.
Guess it's to each their preferences. It's the way the band interacts, you can feel the bond between the kids in Måneskin, the way they've been friends since childhood, and their connection just shines through their interaction, and how well they fit together.
Damiano's voice just stands out in a way few singers do these days.

@@grunfeldzacar6111 Honestly, I'd say that's a matter of preferences. I tried listening to the Warning, they just don't really stand out to me. And there's nothing about them that makes me personally want to look into more of them. Whereas with Måneskin, I can't get enough of them. Watching Måneskin live, is like an experience every single time. It's like you can feel the energy in the air.
I hope for you, that your band will get successful as well, but personally I'm planning to see Måneskin continue their rise.
And to think that as great as Honey (are you coming) is, it's still not even the best of their latest five new songs.
You should try and listen to Trastevere or Valentine. Maybe then you'd understand why us Måneskin fans are so obsessed with them.

Hmm, not sure. I haven't really listened much to Maneskin. The song in this video sounds very tame and very mainstream. Nothing that kicks me off the chair. If you think that The Warning can only do one style, you are very mistaken.

@@grunfeldzacar6111 las escuche y mas veces, mexico es mi segunda casa asi que por eso estaba hasta emocionado que un grupp mexicano tocase el rock, las escuche y las escuche para ver cada vez si estaba equivocado y nada siempre misma idea de ellas.
