Really good video donna. Ive always meal planed, evem tho there's only 2 of us just me & my husband, i think its important for a lot of reasons. I think we are all gulity at 1 time or another of going to the supermarket without a list / without a clue about what we having for tea, walk round the shop pick things up, spend more than you want to them get back and still think whats for tea cos i didnt get this etc. Its an expensive shop and not a productive 1!! So i sort of go about planning a bit like you donna , i used to shop online all the time when i worked full time, was just easier, more convenient for me & a great way to see what your spending & to keep in your budget. But now i have more free time so i go to the supermarkets which i really enjoy doing . So i like to browse online at recipes, i watch cookery shows, go to the supermarkets own websites, look at their monthy magazines see what recipes are in there, tesco are really good i think. Then just look at what i already have that i need /want to use up then start doing a list/ plan whixch will also include toiletries/ household products. It really isnt hard to do is it . We never have take aways, we eat out maybe once a fortnight or maybe not i cook all my dinners from scratch , use all fresh vegetables & get as much use as i csn out of all my ingredients. 1 of my pet hates is food waste, even if i were a millionaire i still would not waste money. But being as im certainly not a millionaire 😅 i make use of everything i buy. So realky good video donna, gives people ideas on how to meal plan if they really not sure how to do it
I agree. We don't have much food waste at all as I use things for leftovers and Duke happily eats any meat the boys rarely leave. Yes, tesco website is a good one 👍 glad you enjoyed the video ❤️
Hi Donna, this is great, you and me both cook from scratch, I make all my own sauces etc, for chilli con carne, spag bol, and make my own pastry. I meal plan for the month, write down everything we like, and choose from there. I dont repeat anything in that month, that's so we dont get bored, Im even thinking of buying a good mincer to do my minced beef..... not asked for a while but how's your treatment going, how are YOU doing tfs Jax ❤x
That's a really good way of not getting bored, I like to let the boys choose some meals too 😋 ooo a mincer sounds fab, let me know if you get one! My treatment is going well, thank you, last scans were good and I'm feeling better than the last one xxx
@dinnerwithdonna hi I'm so glad to hear treatment is going well. My heart breaks for you, being so young with 2 young sons, but life is for living and I hoping you're living your best life. Yep thinking about getting a mincer, cos I told you my market butcher had the leanest beef, very little fat, couldn't get mince healthier than that. I'd like to try my hand at making my own sausage as well, watch this space, keep well 🥰
@jacquelinehelliwell5954 it isn't the best situation to be in but I'm so thankful to be here with my boys... all 4 of them 🐶 ooo I will, let me know what gadgets you get! X
I look back to the days my children ate everything, I did the same, I made all their own baby food, purees etc; and they devoured the lot. Now my almost 21 year old would go into cardiac arrest if she found a mushroom, pea, carrot etc in her food, while my 13 year old autistic son is getting back to eating lots more food again. I hate to see mums, especially those who make it obvious they are a certain demographic, bulk buy expensive baby food jars and pouches etc. Height of laziness.
Just goes to show that not everyone will like everything later in life, I personally hate avocado! But yes, the jars of baby food have so much sugar in its no surprise children won't eat normal veg xx
Great video really enjoyed. I've always been pretty organised with meals but didn't realise how much I was spending on cleaning stuff have really tried to rain it in I don't need a different product for different jobs it got ridiculous!!!! X😂
Maybe sometime you can just show you going through your coverage in your fridge and your freezer make show us you're making your list you don't even have to talk during it and then you can just show us your grocery haul that goes with that list
I hope you are feeling better soon and beat The Cancer❤❤❤❤. I had heart surgery last week and I'm getting back eating health food again.

You could teach other mums on UA-cam a thing or two about feeding their kids. I can't believe some of the things I see on here
I agree, I'm all for a quick tea sometimes but with all of the info available now I think it's important ❤❤
I agree! Sometimes it’s shocking! 😮
@@josmith4173 it is, and often the parents eat well and feed the kids rubbish xx
@@dinnerwithdonna absolutely - we are having a steak dinner tonight and they are having chicken nuggets or pasta with cheese no sauce!!
