I think you are amazing. Your budget shops never compromise on quality goods just cut back on “treats”. Your meal plans are so healthy and wholesome. So many UA-camrs doing budget shops get the cheapest and most rubbish unhealthy products just so their shop comes in “cheap” . Keep doing what you do. You are fabulous. Quality food in a budget ❤️
You did an excellent job with your shop . I buy frozen soft fruits its works out cheaper for me ( know its not everybodys preference ) specially with children you get what they will eat x😊
Considering it's a Sainsbury's shop I think that was a really good shop. Our local Sainsbury's is closed at the moment for a complete refurb. I have never done a shop online, only once I did an Iceland shop. I'm disabled and it takes a lot out of me to go shopping but maybe I should consider doing online shopping. Many thanks for sharing x
I wouldn't definitely recommend online if you struggle getting out, when I lost my licence because of health I started ordering online and even though I can drive now I won't go back. Xx
Good shop Donna good idea with the juice my son does exactly the same if he makes it himself Sainsbury's is good I thought only Asda price matches if they give you a more expensive item Sainsbury's normally charges me the extra then I get a voucher lovely meals Donna thank you for doing this because it is so easy to over spend happy Sunday 😊❤
I've read that nutritionally there's no difference between from concentrate juice and not from concentrate, but the not from concentrate does taste nicer 😊
I thought you did extremely well with the £60 budget & sainsburys as well. Im just not that keen on sainsburys due to the fact i think the staff are quite rude in a few of their stores but obviously thats my experience. You got fresh fruit / vegetables/ meat / cupboard / treats & a nice meal plan as well. Its when you start adding household / toiletries into the shopping that bumps the cost up. But well done you fir showing it can be done if people are on a budget
@karenpridmore7955 oh really, I shop online and the delivery drivers are always okay. The household definitely bumps up - I get my household stuff from Smol and toiletries from wild mainly xx
It's amazing what you guys can get for 60 lb I know you based the US price and what you paid for it but the meat would have been way more expensive here than that because the Gammon alone would have been over 10 to 12 or more dollars in America for that
@dinnerwithdonna @mumlifeandmore A lot of many people's expense is associated with “treats” and “snacks” and bottled water. Not yours Donna. You go for substance, which is what I love about your channel over others.
@@frugalitystartsathome4889 even if you double the price on items ..no way our food is cheap as that ..take baby bels we pay $nearly $10 for a bag of 5
Just for clarification, I thought Sainsbury’s charged full price for substitutes and gave the difference back in a voucher? Has that now changed? It’s what puts me off using them online 😅

Yes lots cheaper, I find it a bit smushy though xx
Great vlog shows u can do sainsburys on a budget. ❤❤❤
You definitely can and eating healthily with a few treats too 😋

Thanks Jax xx

Yes, they do give a voucher so I guess you effectively don't get it for the cheaper price xx
ive started buying more supermarket own brands and really does help with keeping down costs :) x
It definitely does help and the ranges are getting better xx
I've read that nutritionally there's no difference between from concentrate juice and not from concentrate, but the not from concentrate does taste nicer 😊
Oh really! I thought you'd lose some fibre from the concentrate. The boys like it so good when on a budget ❤️
@@dinnerwithdonna I thought so too, but Google disagrees 😅

@lorisiedl8733 yes, crazy how much things cost in the US, I just thought it might be useful to see the conversion xx
@@dinnerwithdonna oh it is
I've got a Tesco shop booked for the weekend - I'm trying to get it as low as possible without my children telling me there's nothing to eat 😂
I know what you mean, no point getting a cheap shop and then having nothing to eat! X
@dinnerwithdonna struggling to get it under £80, but I do need to have a look in the freezer to see what meat I have and what dinners I can do xx
@dinnerwithdonna @mumlifeandmore A lot of many people's expense is associated with “treats” and “snacks” and bottled water. Not yours Donna. You go for substance, which is what I love about your channel over others.
Good amount for 60 pounds
@@louisechapman4009 thank you Louise xx
Believe me that would never cost $60 so in Australia
More like $120 to $150 dollars here
Really, that's crazy money! X
But given that an Aussie dollar is the equivalent of about 50-odd pence, there’s not that much difference, is there?
@@frugalitystartsathome4889 even if you double the price on items ..no way our food is cheap as that ..take baby bels we pay $nearly $10 for a bag of 5

No they do still do that, which is a bit annoying! But I'll just use it next time xx
Can you refuse the substitutions ?@@dinnerwithdonna
Excellent haul xxx
