The Endeavor is the only capital ship I have ever invested real world cash in, and the last concept I'll ever spend cash on.. Others I'll earn in game. Being a Pharmaceutical Science (PhD), in real life, I really enjoy the idea of medical and science-based gameplay loops!.. I am a very laidback gamer, so not interested in combat focused cap ships, or ships that will need a huge crew.. A crew of 3 to 5 is ideal for me and the Endeavor will deliver! I look forward to us depending on each other for refueling and other such support roles! It will give being a Citizen real purpose, and make these support type ships really shine!
Everytime when the name "Endeavor" drops John Crewe is hiding under his Desk @CIG, covering in fear when he has to make that ship happen. Well i cant wait to see the "size grow" of that ship. Also the Hangars look like they need a overhaul from the start to narrow for a Cutty Red to drop of Emergency Patients in that small entrance. But hey somebody told me i have no patience... well got a base model myself. XD
The only thing dumber than buying these ships that are probably 10 years away is CIG selling them. How can they come out with all these concepts while simultaneously having ship from 7+ years ago not even in the game yet?!

So, the first thing I need to point out - this ship is NOT coming "Soon" (tm), John Crewe has made that abundantly clear. He's openly stated on a couple of occasions that some ships will NOT be released until after the game releases, and to date this is the only ship he's cited by name which will be a post-release ship. That means "not shortly after meshing" - that means after Alpha, after Beta, and after Release. Which means this ship is WAY WAY out there for completion. The main reasons for that are underlying tech - it's not even a gameplay features issue as much as it is that making this ship relies on a long laundry list of tech which includes: - Ship State System Tier X - Ship Modularity Tier X - Ship Separation Tier X - Full Persistence Tier X - Medical Gameplay Tier X - Component Physicalization Tier X - Engineering Tier X ... and on and on. Also worth noting: this ship was concepted LONG before CIG established their current metrics standards, meaning it is almost certainly WOEFULLY SMALLER than it needs to be, so expect a 50-100% size increase before it's released. Now, you're telling people DO NOT BUY THIS SHIP, but let me provide a counter-argument. Do buy this ship. Here's why: it's a full Capital class ship with Capital components and a MASSIVE array of versatility. And it's only $350. That's. Insanely. Cheap. By the time CIG gets to implementing this ship, it's going to double or even triple in price. If you hadn't locked in at least one of them before that, you'll probably really be kicking yourself, just like people did with the 600i, Orion, Carrack, BMM, Hull E, etc. The modules are not likely to change much in price over time, however the base hull likely will double to triple in price before release, so if you have the spare cash and want to lock in a helluva deal, get one at IAE coming up next month. I own 4 of them already, and at least 1 of every module. I'm not crazy, I'm being smart. This will be a killer ship when it comes out. And you're getting it for a BARGAIN today because it's helping fund the game's development.
Love the design of the endeavour especially in the space farming config with the bio domes. Was the ship that got me into star citizen. To my disappointment it wasn't available in game. Ended up purchasing it during my first iae and was my 1st big spend and cap ship.
"Just don't buy this ship" is a wrong sentence. If you are interested in it and have a few friends or wanna join an org later on, then at least secure the CCU chain to the ship (latest on IAE). 350 bucks is "cheap" compared to what kind of grind you will need later on when the game gets released... There's estimated size of the ship above 400m to fit the Cutlass in the hangar. Don't buy the modules would be a better sentence, since the modules can't be that expensive ingame, because of their dollar price. I assume, that the base of the ship will be above or slightly under 1000 bucks at some point and that you will need sooooo many hours of farming for it (and paying the insurance). It won't get released slightly before release of the game or even shortly after the release. So don't apply the CCU on the ship and keep something in between. The different gameloops it will offer is a game itself (medic, science, crop growing above bad planets, etc...) So again, don't buy the ship directly and don't apply the CCUs on it, but keep the CCU to the Endeavor in your hangar and just wait.
from what i remember the launch of that concept the farming part is more aimed to drug plante ( legal or not) in the concept they said that differnt plant wouldneed different light or radiation from space
for almost all the ships, yes. the m50 was supposed to be the first one a few patches ago, but then they just gave up on it completely as far as I can see lol
The potential of this ship is nuts, and it’s actually very reasonably priced. The notion of a Heavy Science ship that can act as a mobile drug lab, or full L1 hospital for an org for example.. it’s bonkers cool. I’ve long had an unapplied $20 CCU to one from my Caterpillar.. maybe around about 2026 I’ll get a chance to see this thing in the verse, but let’s face it - it’s not coming for a long, long time. CIG seem to be more interested in pumping out the likes of the Galaxy.

you can see the price in your hangar if you click on all ships. once you get the base endeavor, you can upgrade to the master set. It's only sold during IAE and MISC weeks

It seems like I have seen over even just this half a year of play, more advancement in the game than has been accomplished in the previous 6 years or so. This tracks true to what we usually see in development of industrial manufacturing as well. So I'm very excited to see what happens in this next few months leading up to, and including, server meshing. From what I see, server meshing will actually alter the game dynamic in ways that I don't think the casual player is aware. It will also necessitate a vast expansion of area to spread out all the current players... so Pyro won't just be an interesting addition, it will be a necessity by that point.
No one should buy anything. They already have 400 million dollars and if they need more money we need to ask what they really are doing with the money. If people keep buying ships they have no incentive to release this game. They dont need to.
As of right now this ship is the only one I regret buying. At present it seems useless and I don't even think they have even started on it nor plan to for a while. But I'll hold onto it only because I feel like it's another ship that will be tripple its price at launch.
The entire exploration and sience idea sounds so stupid...I mean discovering resource deposits is one thing, but jump points? This game would need thousands upon thousands of systems to support prolonged exploration gameplay, cos it won't take the community more than a few days to fully explore the dozen systems the game will probably launch with....
A dev at CIG made an interesting comment about this ship; it was announced seven or eight years ago, by people who aren't even there any more and they've been left to figure how to make them work. Perhaps fans should put an amnesty on ships over a certain age, and ask them only for ships designed post 2020...?
Foreword- big fan of Grumpy, i like the videos that arent mouth on cock of this game which i find better than that other guy who always has that look on his face like he took a shit in your toilet and didnt wipe or flush and is waiting for you to find it. "Should you buy XXX ship?" F*CKING NO! stop buying ships. God the F*ck dammit! Still no real content in game and they keep shitting out concept ships to sell us. As long as we keep buying, all their resources will go to making ships and not game features and fixes. I am of the firmest belief that when pyro is launched, they will find a way to monetize that content, and it will still be broken AF. Its been way too long at this point for the game to be out and so little content available to be cranking out so many ships for profit when you cant do shit with ships anyway. 10+ years and we are just now teasing getting a second system... all while the first system isnt even fully fleshed out. Ive tried to defend this game to friends i want to have come play with me when they claim its a tech demo, but its not a strong defense because they have solid points. It took just a few months to gather enough money for a good mining setup and to purchase nearly half the ships in the whole game. I mean i have like 20 ships now and i started with an Aurora MR. I completely agree that its not really a good purchase atm (altho with how many other concept went, i fully except that ship to grow massively in size by the time its released and maaaay be another BMM case of a 350$ ship ending up around 600-700)
this is the 1 and only concept ship that i say if you can afford it you are dumb as shit if its not in your fleet. this is the 1 and only ship that cant fight but is better at any other play than any other ship!!!! this ship is last on the to do list because it will set the standard across all play types. but like me im get all modules in game
my guess is the gameplay of this ship will be similiar to eve online science and research. you live in the now and have a difficult time seeing the future grumpy. you seem to forget this is an alpha game and treat it like a beta or a finished game... this is where all your frustration stems my friend. this is alpha and no regular gamer is usually part of this part of this development phase. SC is a strange one of a kind case experiment and yes it is a gamble that may fail, but it is also probably the only way a game of this magnitude could ever come into existance. i think you need to start seeing the positives of what is happening instead of constantly being pissed that your dealing with an alpha game... but hey you do you buddy, just trying to save you some frustration, but then again your frustration seems to be your channel... i mean i have one game to compare to and that is cyberpunk 2077 that started development about the same time as SC and look at that mess... you want SC to be like that game?
So here's a thing you don't know about me. I was an alpha tester of Squad. I was also an alpha tester of War Thunder. Those games had some bugs during the alpha phase, but none of them this gamebreaking. And both of them had a lot of gameplay possibilities and content to keep you busy for days. SC doesn't, and that's ok. But when are we going to get anything new? We don't know because the devs don't like answering "when" questions. It's against the company policy. It's been 11 years, and they keep on selling new concept ships without any gameloops to support those. My dad is a programmer, I have worked on a few (simple) games as a sound designer/music producer. And I know how hard it is to do all of that, but you still need to answer to someone. At least you should. And CIG doesn't. That's why I'm doing this the way I'm doing it.

I have one in my hanger but I'm getting modules when they come out in game. I imagine this ship will get a heavy price increase as they begin building it.
I'm calling it now, 8hrs before the premiere. If you have an Odyssey, you probably won't get the Endeavor unless you either upgrade/melt to it, or run an org. The Endeavor is great for running a makeshift station, at least for now in development. It's built to be stationary. A shocking concept, I know. The Odyssey is more fit for exploration. This is the RV camper to top all RV campers. Depending on how you play, this will ultimately be your deciding factor, unless, again, you run with an org and need that base of operations and a reliable beefy boi ship to get some serious work done around the verse. Then again, this is assuming you are only comparing against these two. I personally am a Drake and ARGO fanatic, and I only see MISC is a capable mining brand I am forced to use, so the Kraken or whatever ARGO equivalent they pull out will take my priority over the Endeavor. BUT, that being said, you can't argue with the modularity this thing has. I'm not even sure if the Kraken can match this, to be honest...
Imho this ship should've just been a massive flying hospital or garden and that's it. No shot the rest of this stuff makes it in game in any meaningful way.
Im thinking it might end up being something like where a lot of the modules will just produce different craftables/crafting parts/sellable items/consumables etc only thing that makes sense to me edit: and upgrading/reparing smaller items or components
And since it's inception. CiG has said that the Misc Endeavor will be one of the last, if not the ABSOLUTE last ship that they work on boss. It's that good and that difficult that they've shelved it. So no, it won't be out soon lol.
@@Warhammered being made and being worked on are two different things. The Endeavor is already s concept. The Sciff, which is a name I just pulled out of my @$$, does not exist yet and may come after the Endeavor has started it's wip. While they said they wouldn't be selling anymore ships once the game goes live, I'm sure we both know that's up to them to change and even if it didn't, it doesn't mean that they won't be making anymore ships... So who knows man. It's neither here nor there tbh and from my viewpoint, doesn't effect me in any way if they did keep the steam building. It's a successful business model.
@@CononialLP It is possible. I've seen lots of people who have more than one of the same ship, including the Endeavor. I've even seen people with more than one Javelin post their fleet pics in Concierge. And I have about 20 Hoverquads that I intend to use as future LTI tokens. So it definitely IS possible!
Just a heads up, T-2 beds will be able to respawn as well. Their respawn QUALITY will be lower than that of a T-1. You have to consider that ships built for extended exploration or even hauling won't have a hospital in their back pocket to heal their wounded. You'll be out in the black by yourself in some cases. Calling an ambulance or taxi won't be an option lol.
Hell you can't even buy this ship or the Modules at this time lol. I have been trying to pick up some of the Modules but they are not for sell either which sucks guess a person be waiting until xmas. At the end you talked about CIG adding more Modules for repairing and refinery those are already part of the modules you discussed in the video if you go back and do a little better research on this ship you find this information

Now we may not see some of these features at all and like you said we could see the addition of some like refining or fuel gathering truth I hope they don't add many more, ships shouldn't be able to do it all they should have some flaws which is why I think the we only get the one Turret in that case .

I see a lot of issues under vast lavers of salt in this and other videos from you... you haven't done your research because this ship is not on sale (nor modules for it)... only 2nd hand market (Reddit/star hangar)... You can CCU to it for pennies since it still has a superbly low price for the capital class ship if you have something around 350 USD value, yes it will not come anytime soon (that was actually accurate information in this "review" :D) BTW being saltier than salty Mike in the past is not going to change what CIG is doing. Still, people like salt mines so possibly it's a good model for the growth of the YT channel, till everyone will get sick and tired of yourself trying to change the brilliant business model that apparently works for them. I would really like to know how they will pull this one out because in the Connie trailer (Way back then) they showcased a crew scaning a new planet. There's actually around 300 planets in the atlas right now, and more are being added regularly. So as funding continues and increases, they are also increasing the scope of the game. 120 systems was the old KickStarter stretch goal from 9 years ago, they've moved way beyond that now.

I like the idea of upgrading components Hopefully, if that ever becomes a thing, it would also be an option for the javelin's modular rooms Since we'll already have a javelin to protect the fleet, so it would make sense to be a collection point for scavenger runs. Give people things to do while on board

Well being a youtuber I need to bring you content, and some of you guys are giving me money to do just that. Most of you are interested in concept ships, and those are basically the only things I have in my hangar. Once they get released, I'll be the first one to review them, and I won't need to wait on someone I know to get one for me to review it. That's what people would like to see. On top of that I have a ton of referral ships that I upgraded to the concept ships. So for example the polaris costed 300$ for the upgrade. So, from my point of view that's not being hypocritical, that's just giving back to the community. If I wasn't doing youtube, I would still just have the starter package. Btw love you too ❤

No one should buy anything. They already have 400 million dollars and if they need more money we need to ask what they really are doing with the money. If people keep buying ships they have no incentive to release this game. They dont need to.
As of right now this ship is the only one I regret buying. At present it seems useless and I don't even think they have even started on it nor plan to for a while. But I'll hold onto it only because I feel like it's another ship that will be tripple its price at launch.
Plus the loaners are pretty meh. Cutlass Red + Starfarer. For what is essentially meant as a capital ship.
The entire exploration and sience idea sounds so stupid...I mean discovering resource deposits is one thing, but jump points? This game would need thousands upon thousands of systems to support prolonged exploration gameplay, cos it won't take the community more than a few days to fully explore the dozen systems the game will probably launch with....
I think the endeavor when someday it becomes a fully functional ship will be the optimal homebase ship for a small group.
A dev at CIG made an interesting comment about this ship; it was announced seven or eight years ago, by people who aren't even there any more and they've been left to figure how to make them work.
Perhaps fans should put an amnesty on ships over a certain age, and ask them only for ships designed post 2020...?

As long as we keep buying, all their resources will go to making ships and not game features and fixes. I am of the firmest belief that when pyro is launched, they will find a way to monetize that content, and it will still be broken AF. Its been way too long at this point for the game to be out and so little content available to be cranking out so many ships for profit when you cant do shit with ships anyway. 10+ years and we are just now teasing getting a second system... all while the first system isnt even fully fleshed out. Ive tried to defend this game to friends i want to have come play with me when they claim its a tech demo, but its not a strong defense because they have solid points. It took just a few months to gather enough money for a good mining setup and to purchase nearly half the ships in the whole game. I mean i have like 20 ships now and i started with an Aurora MR. Im BORED AF with whats in the game.

i own an endeavor but only because it was part of the pack i bought. I completely agree that its not really a good purchase atm (altho with how many other concept went, i fully except that ship to grow massively in size by the time its released and maaaay be another BMM case of a 350$ ship ending up around 600-700)
this is the 1 and only concept ship that i say if you can afford it you are dumb as shit if its not in your fleet. this is the 1 and only ship that cant fight but is better at any other play than any other ship!!!! this ship is last on the to do list because it will set the standard across all play types.

my guess is the gameplay of this ship will be similiar to eve online science and research. you live in the now and have a difficult time seeing the future grumpy. you seem to forget this is an alpha game and treat it like a beta or a finished game... this is where all your frustration stems my friend. this is alpha and no regular gamer is usually part of this part of this development phase. SC is a strange one of a kind case experiment and yes it is a gamble that may fail, but it is also probably the only way a game of this magnitude could ever come into existance. i think you need to start seeing the positives of what is happening instead of constantly being pissed that your dealing with an alpha game... but hey you do you buddy, just trying to save you some frustration, but then again your frustration seems to be your channel... i mean i have one game to compare to and that is cyberpunk 2077 that started development about the same time as SC and look at that mess... you want SC to be like that game?
So here's a thing you don't know about me. I was an alpha tester of Squad. I was also an alpha tester of War Thunder. Those games had some bugs during the alpha phase, but none of them this gamebreaking. And both of them had a lot of gameplay possibilities and content to keep you busy for days. SC doesn't, and that's ok. But when are we going to get anything new? We don't know because the devs don't like answering "when" questions. It's against the company policy.
It's been 11 years, and they keep on selling new concept ships without any gameloops to support those.
My dad is a programmer, I have worked on a few (simple) games as a sound designer/music producer. And I know how hard it is to do all of that, but you still need to answer to someone. At least you should. And CIG doesn't. That's why I'm doing this the way I'm doing it.

If you have an Odyssey, you probably won't get the Endeavor unless you either upgrade/melt to it, or run an org.
The Endeavor is great for running a makeshift station, at least for now in development. It's built to be stationary. A shocking concept, I know.
The Odyssey is more fit for exploration. This is the RV camper to top all RV campers.
Depending on how you play, this will ultimately be your deciding factor, unless, again, you run with an org and need that base of operations and a reliable beefy boi ship to get some serious work done around the verse.
Then again, this is assuming you are only comparing against these two. I personally am a Drake and ARGO fanatic, and I only see MISC is a capable mining brand I am forced to use, so the Kraken or whatever ARGO equivalent they pull out will take my priority over the Endeavor. BUT, that being said, you can't argue with the modularity this thing has. I'm not even sure if the Kraken can match this, to be honest...
The Endeavor will create the mission that sends the Odyssey or the Carrack to the detected anomaly for further investigation. That's my understanding.
Imho this ship should've just been a massive flying hospital or garden and that's it.
No shot the rest of this stuff makes it in game in any meaningful way.

And since it's inception. CiG has said that the Misc Endeavor will be one of the last, if not the ABSOLUTE last ship that they work on boss. It's that good and that difficult that they've shelved it. So no, it won't be out soon lol.
Then of course the question still is: How many more new ships will be made, if that is the last? :P
@@Warhammered being made and being worked on are two different things. The Endeavor is already s concept. The Sciff, which is a name I just pulled out of my @$$, does not exist yet and may come after the Endeavor has started it's wip. While they said they wouldn't be selling anymore ships once the game goes live, I'm sure we both know that's up to them to change and even if it didn't, it doesn't mean that they won't be making anymore ships... So who knows man. It's neither here nor there tbh and from my viewpoint, doesn't effect me in any way if they did keep the steam building. It's a successful business model.

I've even seen people with more than one Javelin post their fleet pics in Concierge. And I have about 20 Hoverquads that I intend to use as future LTI tokens. So it definitely IS possible!

Just a heads up, T-2 beds will be able to respawn as well. Their respawn QUALITY will be lower than that of a T-1. You have to consider that ships built for extended exploration or even hauling won't have a hospital in their back pocket to heal their wounded. You'll be out in the black by yourself in some cases. Calling an ambulance or taxi won't be an option lol.

Now we may not see some of these features at all and like you said we could see the addition of some like refining or fuel gathering truth I hope they don't add many more, ships shouldn't be able to do it all they should have some flaws which is why I think the we only get the one Turret in that case

I would really like to know how they will pull this one out because in the Connie trailer (Way back then) they showcased a crew scaning a new planet. If CIG thinks they will have enough undiscovered planets to sustain at least 10 years of gameplay, well then I'm a clown.

There's actually around 300 planets in the atlas right now, and more are being added regularly. So as funding continues and increases, they are also increasing the scope of the game. 120 systems was the old KickStarter stretch goal from 9 years ago, they've moved way beyond that now.

Well being a youtuber I need to bring you content, and some of you guys are giving me money to do just that. Most of you are interested in concept ships, and those are basically the only things I have in my hangar. Once they get released, I'll be the first one to review them, and I won't need to wait on someone I know to get one for me to review it. That's what people would like to see. On top of that I have a ton of referral ships that I upgraded to the concept ships. So for example the polaris costed 300$ for the upgrade. So, from my point of view that's not being hypocritical, that's just giving back to the community. If I wasn't doing youtube, I would still just have the starter package.
