It’s good to see that Central were allowed the production credit for Blockbusters on Sky One. Bob Warman’s Price is Right in 1989 was clearly produced by Central but it was credited to Talbot Television instead.
Both shows were based on American shows produced by Goodson/Todman and were effectively co-produced in the UK by Central and Talbot (albeit in Central's facility). Not really a question of who was 'allowed' the production credit on a Sky One series; no one is determining who is 'allowed' to claim copyright on a production nor is it based on where anything is made, it's down to who has the rights to it. With imported gameshow formats there may well have been an additional issue over whether Central had only primacy over the UK rights whilst pan-European rights were held by Talbot. In 1989 Sky One was a free to air pan European channel which might have been aimed at a UK audience but was neither restricted to it nor held any UK broadcasting licence. By 1994 things had changed somewhat.
The £5 bonus question was an interesting additional element for this series. I don't understand why that feature wasn't adopted for the Michael Aspel, Liza Tarbuck or Simon Mayo eras. Also, for any those versions the prize money won could of at least been increased a little, such as £10 for each correct answer in the main game and £25 for each correct answer after an incomplete Gold Run.
Actually this is the sky one’s version of the show because of the intro music also the show ended on itv a few months prior (maybe 1995?) and plus I’ve just noticed that the central end card doesn’t have “for itv” underneath “a central production” edit: I’ve just realised it was 1994 when it ended on itv and I’ve read the description
James Fisher This version of the theme is taken from 1994 when the show switched to Sky One after many ITV regions dropped it. It was still shown in the Anglia, Central, Tyne Tees, Yorkshire and Border regions though.
It is. When Blockbusters was dropped from the ITV Network, Sky decided to recommission the show for one season. Oroduced by Central, it aired on Sky One, as well as these select ITV channels: Anglia, Carlton, Tyne Tees, Yorkshire and Border.
R.I.P Bob holness

“Can I have an F please bob?”
“Yes but I don’t have time to give it to you.”
It’s the silly joke that never gets old..
It's sooooo odd to figure these late-teens in 1994 are now close to 50 years old in 2023.
Saga holiday time now 😫☹️
2nd fave Quiz show after 15 to 1
@gazriley624 i do like 15 to 1 but blockbusters is my favourite
Do you have anymore Blockbusters episodes from Series 10 & 11?

Aired two days after I turned 12
Kelly looks like a young Rose Leslie.

Is that the hand jive I can hear at 0:08 in the intro?
Yes. They get them to do that in the audience for some reason.
Funky music, I sort of prefer this

Yep, bit of bass-slapping going on there. Not unusual in the early-mid-'90s (see also: Gladiators)
That contestant Jenny Wood was a very attractive girl there
Didn't they used to do a weird dance at the end of the episodes?
Ooof they really butchered the theme music on this version didn't they.
It is same as references like star to Greece and nepit to grecece and alter to channel in Greece and alpha to channel in Greece did
Mcbiscuits
That sounds like the sky one version
