Anyone remember the 10th Anniversary TA with 7.9 miles and a real 400 in 2016 (when the economy was much stronger) for 187K at Barrett Jackson? Some of these comments claiming this car is only worth 50K LOL!
“The car isn’t worth more than blah blah” Spoken like a member of the broke boys club like the rest of us. This is Barrett Jackson first of all. The people there have money. **** you money. Second of all if you’re buying a 50 year old car for performance you’re an idiot. Most likely this car is for nostalgia and whatnot. There are minivans with more horsepower than these old boats but they’re much better to look at and great for Sunday cruisin.
If it wasn’t for the trans am you wouldn’t have the cars you have today, all the other auto makers stopped making sports cars except for the vet, when they saw what the trans am was doing they started making them again , hence the trans am is the grandfather of todays high performance cars
@@Jeffgordonfan24hesthegoat Not a Pontiac 400/4 speed car, not even a t-top or WS6 car. And they made over 117,000 of these in '79. I wouldn't say the cars are junk just the engines g.m used to install into the Pontiac firebird trans am surely Pontiac could have had a rethink on powerplants ie engines to use for example the dodge charger with the 440 hemi or the 383 engine .....lots of choices......

I agree the best engine's in the Pontiac are the 400 engine by Pontiac or the 455 super duty
The 403 Olds Motors were Station Wagon Motors. I am replying to Myself.
