I love when you talk a lot! I love hearing you talk through your plans for your home. I do love your cabinets and island the color that they are but I’m sure whatever you choose will be beautiful.
I really don't like when the holidays are rushed. Each one is special and should be enjoyed. Decorating for fall when it's still summer , putting up Xmas before Thanksgiving just feels so wrong. Thanksgiving is such a wonderful family day to give thanks. Think people are starting to just forget how to enjoy each day.😢
I think some people need a change sometimes. Maybe they had a hard month or season and need something new and fresh so they decorate early because they need it. I don't think it's always about rushing to the next season for some. I don't think a lot of people think about that.

I do like that we have our thanksgiving earlier in Canada. For me, someone who works and has a lot of of work involved with Christmas like doing all the gift buying, it’s easier for me to get the decorating done in November so I feel like that load is off my shoulders. I love Christmas decor so I like to take my time. We’re all different and that’s ok

Hello! Love the idea of getting new decor while keeping the old. Some times I'm in the mood to change it up and some times I long for the nostalgic things I already own. I actually like the more chatty Sunday resets. Especially since I recently suffered a mild concussion and have only really been listening to videos in order to avoid screens and lights. I think the white walls with colored trim is a great idea. White walls can stand up to any changing decor and color schemes which is was makes them so great.
Yes to the white walls. I don’t like to rush the holidays either.

I love my tree up for Thanksgiving. It gives such a cozy feeling. I love to slowly decorating so I can enjoy it. Of course you need to do what’s best for you. I feel happy decorating for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I have scaled down my holiday decor. I do minimal and elegant. I save a ton of money and time going crazy. I'd rather spend my time visiting and baking.

The thing that bothers me is how Halloween goes straight into to Christmas….I LOVE fall and Thanksgiving decor and the thanksgiving holiday that is without stress and enjoying family and yummy food!
We just had our second floor carpeting removed from the bedrooms. Now to put the rooms back together.
Also leaning to more neutrals for the holidays. Need to go through my bins and donate what I no longer use.
Currently waiting on our new fridge. Ours quit working last week. Luckily we have a couple of dorm fridges that we use for holidays.
Fall cleaning is so needed. It's so satisfying and sets the mood for the holidays. Thanks for the motivation!

I wasn’t crazy about the island color, then I I liked it but now I’m excited to see how you change it up. We are painting our new home the color “big chill” with white trim and white cabinets. I really like your ideas for decorating with plants and neutrals. We are bringing in shiplap walls in our kitchen too, just like your coffee bar. Black hardware and I really love your glass pendant lights too. Hopefully you find the right ‘white’ so many to choose from now that’s why we chose ‘big chill’ to make white trim pop. We chose “whipped cream” white for both of our teen daughter’s rooms or rather they chose it. It’s a really nice white. 💙

I have white walls & white trim in my new house and warm white cabinets…..it’s fine and I love them. I don’t think you have to explain if you painted your island 10 times, it’s your home. Sometimes it takes a lot of trial and error to find a style or colour that makes you happy. As you sometimes say “ you do you”…. give yourself the same grace 🙂

We are in process of bathroom remodels, new windows being stalled in Dec and kitchen remodel after the first of the year. I’m a bit OCD with order in my house so I feel a tad crazy right now. 🤪 I notice you have mostly drawers in your kitchen and not cupboards. I’m looking to do the same. I think it’s an easier set up as I get older. For Christmas I revamped last year big time (Mrs. Claus and Gingerbread in the kitchen/dining-room) and I went very neutral in the living-room. Nature/Nativity theme. This Fall I put up a Fall tree so I’m not so anxious to put up the tree for Christmas. I’m loving it! Have a good week Tiffany!

It's very cold here also, lately. 40s overnight and in the morning, 50s during the day. Very overcast and blustery. #NotAFan We have six kids and I'm never caught up with laundry. We each do our own now, which is helpful. I love your neutral plaid table runner. So, Prime Day - I just went through my Wish list and purchased a few things that were on prime day sales. I didn't get one of them (because I thought my hubs was going to get it for my birthday..) but ended up getting it full price today, because he didn't get it for my birthday yesterday. It was a Christmas quilt set, and it was only $49.99, so no big deal - but it was on sale for $29.99 when I passed the link along to him, ugh. That was very unlike him, though, he usually gets anything I pass him a link to. I got a great one! So thankful for my awesome husband. He really takes very good care of me through chemo, etc. We put our tree up Black Friday weekend, and start the Christmas decor then also. I agree, it's a good idea to purchase early, while the things you want are still available. You should leave your kitchen as it is - It's my favorite kitchen on all of YT! I'm embarrassed of my vent hood also, it's greasy-dusty. Apple Cider is my fave Mrs Meyers scent. I like when you talk in your videos! People need to STFU. I would love a robot vacuum.
I love the chatter in the videos! And I am behind so I am just now watching the one. I would get a sample of the cabinet color and trim color plus maybe one or two more whites in a slightly creamier shade then the trim. If there is a sheen on the trim do a matte on the wall to give some depth. We have BM white dove trim and we painted our bedroom walls SW shoji white and I love the subtle contrast.
I can't think about Christmas yet. I had hip replacement surgery on Friday, all went well, and I'm home recuperating. Our tradition is to put up our Christmas tree on the same night as the Rockefeller Tree lighting which is November 30th. It's my Mom's birthday and she passed away on Christmas Day 1999. So it will be very special. I love your kitchen and your entire home exactly as it is. I'm afraid that stark white walls will really bring out the yellow in the cabinets more, I don't know. But what I do know is that your home is stunning!! Have a great week! ❤
My husband recently had that and the key to his speedy and full recovery was walking ALL THE TIME, just around the house, etc. Hope that helps.
I painted my kitchen bright white. That’s when I noticed my tiles were not bright white and looked dingy. I had to rip the tiles out and add new, but I love my bright tile and wall. Especially if your not happy with your island I don’t think you would like the walls bright and cabinet a yellow tone. But that’s my opinion. You do you. Enjoy the day.

I forget that it's fall since we live in Florida and very few trees change color or lose their leaves down here. ❤🍁🍂 I am my changing Christmas decor again. I did black & white Buffalo plaid for awhile and last year I did bright, colorful, more traditional. This year I'm going more neutral, but dark neutral. Initially I was planning black and brown but I may do black and green. Haven't confirmed yet lol.

I wouldn’t paint till I did shades or curtains it will also make a difference in lighting
I would suggest finding someone with a color fan deck and looking at the various white options in your house. I was surprised how differently I reacted to the various whites in the context of my rooms and when held up to the surfaces and furnishings in my house.. We have standard white trim paint on the trim, SW Extra White on our kitchen cabinets, and SW White Flour on the walls. I am very pleased with the mix of whites--I think they soften the look and make the all-white palette seem softer and less sterile.
My husband and I just returned from a 2 week road trip to New England. The fall foliage did not disappoint. What a beautiful experience. Such a difference from Texas.

We do not celebrate Halloween, we celebrate Autumn days at our church. They bring in rides, candy apples, games etc. it’s such a fun family time.
For Christmas I don’t plan on buying anything new or changing my colors. I love red for Christmas, I use a lot of ticking stripe fabric & I love vintage. I can’t wait for Christmas, but I’m enjoying my fall & Halloween decorations for now 😊

My four sons always hated if I changed things up for the holidays! They are huge lovers of tradition! If I ever suggested changing this their first response was , “what’s wrong with the way we’ve always done it?” They are all in their 50’s now with kids and grandkids of their own and are doing what we always did when they were e little. I guess it was always easy enough to leave well enough alone lol. I can’t make out what’s on the front of your sweatshirt, you’re moving too fast but I do like the color! You’re home is beautiful and I can appreciate the white, but I’m primitive and I have taupe walls with sage green trim throughout including doors. I love it and it goes with everything.

We like to put our Christmas tree up December 15th. I like it up but get tired of it by the end of December. It starts to feel like clutter to me and just want things back to normal. 🎄
This is not going to be any easier to decide (as far as color) but I would leave the over all color on the walls. Because of the way the natural light you get & how it would be a major factor in the color decision, I would do an accent wall, ( paint or wall paper or faux finish) in the family room, paint the island & get the curtains to see how that works before painting the entire house. Leave that until the new year, because us decorators always have a reason to re-vamp our spaces - but you woukd have lived with it a few months & maybe that would help you make a final decision.
Just remember it doesn’t matter (decor) when you were saying feeling like you are behind etc etc. :)
I think your house is beautiful and it is a reflection of your personality. It may not be everyone’s style. But, it’s yours and your family’s style.
I personally think white walls would look beautiful with your cabinets! You can see how nice the trim around the pantry door looks next to the cabinets! 😀💖
Yes!! I loved the plan with me for fall and Halloween!!! I have a UA-cam channel but my home is very different than yours !! Lol. I love it but if I had know I was going to film I wouldn’t have chosen golden walls and dark cabinets. I love Sunday resets. It’s great motivation. ❤❤❤

I think you have the perfect color given your cabinet color. The trim on the pantry door is white. Stand back and imagine it. If you go with a cool color I don't think you will like it with your warm cabinets.
I like the idea of white walls in your kitchen. I really like the idea of white walls with the trim painted in a greige. Such a beautiful and neutral contrast to flip the script on walls and trim paint colors. I’ve seen this done in homes I’ve toured and just love it. On camera your island comes across as robins egg blue, I think it’s beautiful but for your kitchen and decor you would be happier with it more of a neutral paint. Great video! 🧡🍁🎃
Actually, I was going to comment how much I like the voice over while you work around the house and describe what we see. Imo, you don't talk too much you just comment on what's going on in the family life, which I'm sure most everybody can relate. I went to Michael's on Wednesday this week and I barely grabbed the very last items for fall and Halloween! They have removed everything and now it's all Christmas! Just absurd, they don't let you enjoy the current season in order to make a profit. Your kitchen looks beautiful, but I can see how the current colour is not exactly what you want. Have a great week!

Your yard looks so nice. Just love it when the leaves have been cleaned up and the fall foliage is the perfect backdrop. You asked about Christmas decorating for this year…. I don’t plan on purchasing anything new except adding a memorial Christmas tree to my living room. I plan on getting a flocked (or white) pencil tree and have been purchasing memorial ornaments for those that we have lost, to honor them at Christmas. I saw this idea last year and really want to include this tree in my decor this year.

Christmas, yes. I bought 2 new wreathes and the cute white bell set from Walmart 😮$10. One more large wreath for this house. New home so I had count my windows and see what I needed. Ready to see what I have and what I can declutter since we are in a new small home 🏡 ❤

I do 3 Christmas trees in my home. One is elegant with burgundy and gold, one is a white tree with bright red and green, and one is traditional with family heirloom ornaments and multi colored lights. I will continue to use what I have because I love it❤
I can’t wait to get there for Christmas again. Time feels like it stops once I purchase my ticket. Nana will bring “neutral” Xmas crafts and planning a fun cookie decorating time. Love you all. See you soon.

I would not change all of your paint. I think it all looks great but if you think your sectional blends in too much, Id change the color there. I have white in my home Sherwin Williams Snowbound. My home is brand new and it seems to be a popular cool white

Tiffany I love when people talk in their videos. Since moving into our new build a few years ago I have been doing more neutrals & a lot of green for the Christmas. I have been collecting some items. You are correct, you have to buy it early or you will miss out. We have a very similar open concept to you & I have agreeable grey walls which changes from room to room & with different lighting. We have wood cabinets as our home is craftsman style. It honestly just doesn’t bother me to tell you the truth. 🤷🏻♀️ I say do what makes you happy.

We host thanksgiving every year. I love cooking the traditional meal. We’ll put the tree up before thanksgiving.
I didn’t do any fall décor this year. I just wasn’t feeling it. It’s still high 90s where we live.
