"There's ectoplasm everywhere 😂😂😅" bro's a ghost-burster
This...this doesn't smell like ectoplasm...
Just picturing randy marsh
That's so nice of you Keith, to actually get up and go downstairs when your wife hears a noise. . .my husband pretty much just rolls over and goes back to sleep 😂
I don't blame him 😅
Keith, get a doorbell camera so you can check without going downstairs. I am definitely guilty of sending my husband down to investigate noises though 😂 But the cameras help.
I’m from Tennessee and my grandmother used to tell my cousins and I this story when we were little. It would scare us to death, but we loved it lol. I’m pretty sure my grandma was the reason for my love of all things horror. 😊
Finally! I'm from there and I've written a paper on her. I've been obsessed with her since I was a little girl. I even went to the cave for my birthday one year. I used to sit at the cemetery, pre phones, and take pictures. They always came out wonky. Sidenote, if I were the mayor of Adams, I would turn the town into the "Salem of the South".
The cave is cool, though I didn’t see anything unusual
I am in Clarksville right at exit 11 sango. I have gone here to the cave so many times and have even been able with permission to camp out around the cave and in the cave many years apart, season apart, and even once halloween. NOTHING ever happened. I was open back then for wanting to see anything paranormal, but these days I have come to know that it is just figment of imaginations along with stories growing in size and craziness over decades and for sure centuries. Cae is small for what they let you see but it does go way way way back if you show you have ability and do off season and nothing is back there either. The whole grave at opening isssss also just BS. As disrespectful but to try and get some type of response he urinated in it. And to no surprise nothing came for revenge or to even blow a little wind. I like the cemetary it just looks cool. But I spent lotta of time there as a child as they used to have old tractor and machinery gatherings (threshermans show and is just hundreds' of yards from the cave but old Bell farm is where it happens and I also slept outside on a flatbed trailer under the stars and never there had any strange happenings there either. I would live in the cave if allowed. I would turn into an underground cave home if I could and would love to. But cool to see others in this that are in same area. So hi neighbor ;-)
Bless your wives for putting up with you guys 😊 just listening to you is great 😊 forget the story 😊
9:58 "Picture this, youre in a horse-" "Eugh!" "-and carriage," "Oh okay"
No matter how many times I've heard this... from you Mike I think as well. Like it again.
Yaye Mike & Keith are back❤
Mike & Keith, the best ever ❤️
I have my notes! Keith you're amazing
I saw where even King didn't like the new one. The first one scared me so bad I still decades later won't look outside a window at night
"Even ppl who aren't ghosts do that" lol you two kill me 😂
I LOVE your podcasts! Mike and Keith respect ❤
Ooh, "There's someone at the door!" always reminds me of the 1995 horror series American Gothic (not the 2016 one). Starred Gary Cole as an American sheriff - who happened to be a demon.
Created by Shaun Cassidy. A singer/actor from the 70s.
So happy you covered this!!!
Ice nine kills is awesome! I love how they have a theme for each song as a different horror movie
When its 3:00 and I can't sleep this is what I do!!! Because I love ya
It's crazy I'm listening to this podcast and the chilluminati podcast, and both you guys are doing the Bell Witch story at the same time crazy timing.
Love you two. The BEST podcast ever! ❤ from Australia ❤
Stayed up till 2am for this
Ditto!!!
west coast = best coast!
Got up at 2 am & fell asleep listening.. back again to listen again. 😂
Just started watching. It's now 4:40am EST.
3am here but pretty much the same
One of my favorites.. definitely a southern classic. This story has always kind of intrigued me but leaves me freaked me out at the same time. The Appalachian mountains are very very very old. There’s a lot of odd and unexplainable things that happen in and around these mountains. The brown mountain lights is another good example. I do believe the story though because of all of the witnesses (especially president Andrew freaking Jackson.. who, if you know anything about him, you’ll know he was a hardass) and their testimonies.
OMG - I LOVE HER!! She's my new hero. I knew of the legend, but I didn't know details. Thanks, guys!
LOVE LOVE me some Ice Nine Kills!!!
Saw them in concert a few years back and it was GREAT!!
My family & I watched The Empty Man on your recommendation yesterday. It was a really good movie ❤
2005's "An American Haunting" (with Donald Sutherland) is my favourite Bell Witch movie!
Thank you for this spooky moment, it took exactly the same time as making beef chow mein from scratch! Dinner is ready kids, grab a plate ❤️🇮🇸🇮🇪
Oohhh sounds great, I'll bring my kids too! 😂
@@ambergriffes6122 you're welcome 😁❤️
@@tcf_iceland 🥰
Morning lads!!! ... of to sleep after the podcast . Love from Portugal 🇵🇹 👊☮️
I just saw the Conjuring last night! I definitely hear what you're saying about the image quality. it was pretty grungy and dark-looking, which fit with the story.
Mike thank u for Talkin bout this case. It's really interesting. ❤
Love the band Ice Nine Kills! Good suggestion Keith for people who have never heard!
Especially their new song "a work of art" 😎👌🏻🎶
Jeru -Salem .... mind blown.
That was the PERFECT description of what genre Ice Nine Kills would be considered! Great band! 🤘
Thank you guys.
thanks Mikey n Keith!
At University, my parapsychology class covered the Bell Witch extensively as the first recorded American poltergeist case. In our text, the catalyst was a disagreement between John Bell and a neighbour in which the neighbor cursed him. In the end, we were split 50/50 on if it was genuine or hoax. I was hoping the 2005 film adaptation would have been at least mediocre but it was complete rubbish.
Didn't the film insinuate that John Bell was molesting Betsy..?
@@ElizabethGarcia-tc5nn yep it didn it was sad to me didn't see that coming
Keith & Mike, I adore you guys 😊
Thank you Mike and Keith
You both make me very happy. I actually believe he's wearing a kill em all t shirt 😅
I thought he said "kill a Mom" 😂😂😂
I remember in grade school, like 5th or 6th, we went on a field trip to Bell Witch Cave. It was super cool, even though I didn’t really appreciate the lord of it at the time. But, it was a neat field trip, all the same.
A Bell family curse? Well that explains a few things lol x
INK Love yeah!!! They have one album that was based on books instead of movies.
Love from Tennessee.
2 for 1 LOVE
" it's been tree weeks" 😂😂😂
You guys are keeping me alive right now ❤😢
I don't know what you're going through or exactly what your comment means but I'm sending you a ton of love ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Great ep boys!
Thanks for doing the bell witch story I knew of the cave but never heard this. I've had some crazy paranormal experiences I need to email ya.
I think Mike should make a horror movie! He has some pretty good insight into how it should appear when you watch it! I would love to see a horror from Mike AND Keith 👏👏👏👏👏👏 DO IT! 🙏🤞🤞🤞🤞
Ice Nine Kills, hell yeah! I felt it that at least one of you should enjoy them, they're great. ^^
Thanks for the music recommendation Keith! I dig it
🖤👍🏽 🎶 💀
Just listened to horrorwood ‘ice nine kills’ and not so bad
Let's gooo lads!
I used to work for the Ingram company, near Nashville TN.
Y’all totally need to visit Bell Cave.
Yes, starting over again. I miss you two.
IceNineKills is an AWESOME band!!! Their last 2 albums are based on horror movies... there album "last trick in the book" is pretty epic too.. it's based on, you guessed it, books!.. AWESOME band!!! 🤘
The first version is really good. Soo creepy.
❤ I got up just to hear you two!
Yes! So excited! Love your podcast!
2:00, isn't it obvious, Keith? You haven't figured it out by now? It's obvious Mike or his better half who's making your life a living hell! Creating a ruckus and running away giggling into the night. 🤣
Thanks for the Ice9 recommendation! XOXO from CO❤
Best witch movie ever Carrie.
I missed you, fellas!
Ole Sugar Mouth ? That's pretty pervy. Maybe it was Phil Spector
I've gone to the bell witch cave twice. Its lovely. While we were in the main portion of the cave I felt something pull on my pants leg 3 times. Each time it tugged I shook my foot. After the 3rd I looked down to see just the rocks we were standing in. No tigs or branches around. I was in middle of a crowd so there was no reason for it. I had knee high combat boots on so that did not cause it the pulling.
Also a great Halloween performwr is Voltaire. Look up day of the dead or the night. Hes got a new album called the last Halloween party.
Have never heard of Ice 9 kills, but I wonder if it's a reference to Kurt Vonnegut's A Cat's Cradle?! One of my favorite books 😍
Love some Ice Nine Kills !
Keith should check out the first Motionless in White album , Creatures . Alot of the songs are about dark characters. Jack the Ripper , The Headless Horsemen, vampires .
Searching Seek and destroy 🤘🤘🤘 great album Keith 👍
Love you guys!!
Happy Spooky Time, Mike and Keith! I live in Kentucky, and this story and “I believe in Mary Worth” were and still are staples of the SleepOver tradition. I recall the location being touted as Kentucky (not Tennessee), but that’s understandable, between the historical timing of the incidents and the age of the story tellers.
54:39 I just read about him and Bells palsy. It was mentioned by you earlier that John was having facial paralysis (Bells Palsy).
Cant sleep... Well here we are 😂
Dang I missed by an hour! Thanks Mike and Keith!
Love Metallica! Saw them last year
Loved salems lot the series back in the day .
I appreciate a lot of things about the "Salems Lot" movie. I think the fact that Bill Pullmans Son is in it, He looks just like His Dad. Also I believe He was in the newest of the " Pet Cemetery" movie as well.
You guys missed the opportunity to call it "Cultober" lol! Awesome podcast as always!
Not surprised that Andrew Jackson was the only one in his group willing/unbothered enough to stay given that he was indeed a ruthless & murderous psychopath LOL 😂 great episode as always fellas! 🫶
What a confluence of coincidences: Ice Nine Kills is opening for Metallica at one of there two shows in...Nashville, Tennessee! Spoooooky, right? No? Just a regular thing that happens? Oh. Ok, then.
Love the pod and the show. Y'all are the best!
A thought-form sentient being is called a Tulpa.
Ice Nine Kills is a favorite band of mine lmaooo
26:44 an ironic case of "Bell's Palsy".
Perfect, now I can get spooked to sleep 😱
If I or a member of my family saw an apparition of a person swinging from a tree, that tree would be cut down, split, and burning THE NEXT DAY.
YAY my bedtime story is one! Perfect time, I'm sleepy
I grew up with a couple members of Dropkick Murphys. It's pretty f'n cool to see them become a household name.
Tennessee here!
I recommend my favorite movie to watch at Halloween, The Changeling. It's from 1980 w/ George C Scott. It's basically about a haunted house. Not really any special effects & it's pretty scary. Love it & love that it's not all crazy CGI!
Hey ~ that is on of my favs as well to watch for Halloween!! I love it~
I just saw Ice Nine Kills in concert and it was so much fun but very overstimulating at the same time 😂
Am I the only one who wants to recommend the band SKYND, with the mention of Ice Nine Kills?
Ice Nine Kills is a good band. Fair.
Imagine having so much faith and then being trolled by a ghost lol
Sugar mouth. That's great.
Oh yeah, Ice Nine Kills is awesome 🖤🤘🏻
Mike and Keith - togetter true tick and tin! 🇮🇪 ☘️. Greetings from Chicago! 🌬️
Oh! I love this!
I know people from Chicago who kind of talk like this too 😂
Just wanted to share this costume idea...
If u put Puritan garb on Keith, he'll make a perfect Witchfinder General. He's identical to Matty Hopkins from the podcast pic. Tanks for the amazing content. Love from Olyphant Pennsylvania, USA
15:30 Mike and Keith summon Roko's Basilisk.
SK fan here.... I've read most of his books, but absolutely cannot watch any movie created from his books, they scare me even though the movies are really bad.
To be fair, Kate sounds like a riot.
I live in Tennessee not far from there. My dad took us to the cave etc when I was young. I try to never go back there I find it creepy. They have a festival in October you guys should visit.
Yeah nice, Ice Nine Kills shout out. What you think about a work of art? I think Funeral Derangements would be a sick intro song.
Mike, House of Pain will make ya Jump Around 😊
Keith says " I read that book you mentioned at the start"
