  • A former senior executive at the Post Office has said didn’t “knowingly do anything wrong” but has apologised for the “devastation” caused by the Horizon scandal.
Angela van den Bogerd, who worked in various roles at the organisation over more than three decades, has been described as the person in the organisation who knew more about Horizon than anyone else.
In her opening statement to the inquiry, she said she hoped her evidence would provide the answers sub-postmasters and their relatives were seeking.

Horrible woman. She and Vennells are as guilty as hell - they should both be in jail for what they did and they should lose all of their ill-gotten gains. They need to suffer in the same way that they made all of the postmasters suffer.

Angela's face says it all that she is not happy but Legal Counsel has told her to tell her face to not admit that obvious fact and getting a widow of a Sub Postmaster to sign an NDA is possibly one of the most evil things ever particularly after he was forced to jump in front of a Bus

In summary, she appears to be saying :
"As a senior executive I realize that most people would expect that I have to either admit to being entirely incompetent or else to being complicit in the policy of defrauding and defaming Post Office managers. In fact, however, I admit to nothing at all except that had I known that the facts were going to be revealed, I might have done some things differently - to avoid having to accept any blame and to be able to keep hold of the significant bonuses which were infamously paid out to the guilty parties".

I have watched endless hours of this enquiry - and it is remarkable the lack of range in their response to the sàme/similar questioning .... interestingly others more informed individuals have on YT have noted the same phenomena ... . I have concluded that the privitisation of the GPO/Royal Mail was badly thought through, disorganised and hugely (but not exclusively) contribuyed to the uttetly digraceful shambles which rapidly developed.
Not only was Capture/Horizin unfit for purpose, the management at every level and in each important division/department, you could not make up a more incredible Kafkaesque account of Enron/BCCI proportions if you tried - I seriously doubt if any of these Dickensian characters will face justice, never mind serve jail time .... too many people made money out of this mafia style extortion racket .... The Post Office was a titanic privitisation, a work of utter hubris, promoted like Brexit by a bunch of elitist politicians and market gamblers - it was our G.P,O a public asset and institution, it should never have been pinched by Lord Snooty and Champagne Charlie

The law locks up the man or woman
Who steals the goose from off the common
But leaves the greater villain loose
Who steals the common from off the goose
The law demands that we atone
When we take things we do not own
But leaves the lords and ladies fine
Who take things that are yours and mine
The poor and wretched don't escape
If they conspire the law to break
This must be so but they endure
Those who conspire to make the law
The law locks up the man or woman
Who steals the goose from off the common
And geese will still a common lack
Till they go and steal it back
