@@nottrevorallenI mean there was major structural deficiencies with cut corners. It was just safe enough because cutting corners compared to normal woodies mainly takes out a safety buffer, but still minimal structural buffer is less safe
Tame the pretzel knot and it would have been fine. Moonsault really was a product of the coaster wars and really showed there was no further one could take the overall boomerang concept than possibly the Giant Inverted Boomerang
I would recommend making more of these videos, not necessarily with defunct coasters, but just coasters in general. Maybe do parts of every B&M invert or something like that!
@@Sokobansolver I think this video series will take off. Maybe make the track black the whole time and viewers have to guess the coasters the sections are modeled after.
@@nesmanmain0001 I never envisioned a "series" (I'd rather march to the beat of my own drum) but an idea just now popped into my head: an amalgamation of various coasters from across my channel (specifically from any of the 'NL2 year' playlists) but I leave the references out of the description (the working title would be "Chimera").
@@nesmanmain0001 Actually now that I think about it, I wouldn't rule out making a Frankencoaster 2 that includes some defunct rides that I didn't include here. During development I was thinking about making a Top Thrill Dragster section in place of where the Hypersonic XLC section is. The "amalgamation of coasters across my channel" idea was just spitballing.
Another mashup idea: a ride that just takes all the greatest airtime moments around the world and puts them into one coaster. Maverick’s first hill. Skyrush. Phantom’s Revenge finale. Kondaa’s first two elements. Etc
I've ridden 4 and a half of these in real life: Drachen Fire, Vortex, Wicked Twister, and Hypersonic XLC. I never rode Greazed Lightnin', but I DID ride King Kobra at Kings Dominion, which was the same ride -- a weight-drop Schwartzkopf shuttle looper from the 70s. Drachen Fire was alright, but kinda rough. It felt like Arrow trying to build a B&M (and failing). Hypersonic XLC had the most intense launch of any coaster ever. I know it only reached 80mph, but its launch was far more intense than any LIM or hydraulic launch, including Top Thrill Dragster.
Ok. So dracken fire into son of beast into an arrow mega looper of some sort like great American scream machine, into a shuttle loop into…not sure on the spike but then it’s hypersonic
That would have been a good idea, tho I had kinda thought about making a swing launch invert inspired by Volcano to make up for that (or maybe I wanted to anyway).
bro the maintenance having to maintain what made all these coasters unreliable causing their removal would be a nightmare 💀
The Moonsault pretzel doesn't go to 6 G's. The Hypersonic portion I can understand since I tried to approximate the acceleration.
@@Sokobansolver steel track solves a lot of SOB's problems too, most of that was issue with track rather than supports
@@nottrevorallenI mean there was major structural deficiencies with cut corners. It was just safe enough because cutting corners compared to normal woodies mainly takes out a safety buffer, but still minimal structural buffer is less safe
Yeah, but the entire ride is made of just a steel coaster (like a Mack or intamin multi launch) but used supports really well.
@@nottrevorallenI can tell you what should have happened with Son of Beast with 3 letters and that is
R M C.
I like the lil ode to Moonsault Scramble as the batwing element on vortex
Agreed - that was pretty genius!!

Love that you started with Drachen fire and ended with Hypersonic XLC two sorely missed coasters from both of my home parks great mashup. 🎢
I can tell you why hypersonic xlc was gone if you want, unless you already know.
When I finally moved to Virginia both of these were gone. Wish I could have been there
standout ride at defunctland
Drachenfire, Son of Beast, Vortex, Moonsault Scramble, Vortex (again), Greazed Lightning, Wick Twist Dangling coaster, Hypersonic XLC.
At the cheddar pointe Park in Ohio
I guessed Montezooma's Revenge for the Shuttle Loop.
SIRNEJWIWBBEIWBEVEBDJ ITS NOT A DANGLING COASTER!!! There’s no such thing!!!!! U BUFFOON YOU HURT ME TO THE CORE
@@triple7marcwhat? The loop isn’t even the montezooma colors.
@@reteledman The loop is green. Just like Montezooma’s Revenge.
I was verbally calling all of the coasters out and got them all right without looking at the description, FANTASTIC Job :)
I miss Hypersonic's cool shaping.
This was fun to guess while going around, would definitely watch more of these.
Drachen Sontex Scramble Shuttle Twister XLC was awesome! 🎉
I would recommend making more of these videos, not necessarily with defunct coasters, but just coasters in general. Maybe do parts of every B&M invert or something like that!
I sometimes do that anyway, not necessarily consciously but I have more fun when being inspired by multiple sources at once.

It was fun to ride and try to get every coaster refrence correct!
Rip vortex, i think it was still way better than anyone was giving it credit for
The issue with Vortex was that the transitions were just awful, it beat the living shit out of you.
Interesting idea. IMMEDIATELY liking this for including most of Vortex's layout
The coasters include: Drachen Fire, Son of Beast, Vortex, Moonsault Scramble, Greased Lightning, Wicked Twister, and Hypersonic XLC.
Great concept. The only thing I would change is to replace the shuttle loop with Batman and Robin
The backwards twisted spike made me giggle because I was expecting Montezumas back spike for some reason LOL

The sad thing I think about is Son Of Beast.......what an excellent RMC that could have been, smoother and much more reliable.
This is so cool, super creative! Loved Moonsault Scramble in the middle of Vortex!
Awesome! I love how you replaced Vortex’s batwing with Moonsault Scramble
You shaped it perfectly!
Dude Son of Beast, Moonsault Scramble, Wicked Twister that's crazy
The jank arrow transitions on the intamin model during vortex ❤
everyone frantically messing with their volume at the beginning 👀👀
Son Of Wicked Drachen Fire Vortex Greezed Lightning Twister Moonsault Scramble Hypersonic Beast XLC
Thats excellent. Each section is recognisable and the elements were perfect. Very well done.
Truly a work of art
awsome!! so cool transitions from one to the next
I thought the shuttle loop was Montezuma's Revenge :D This is a nice coaster trivia quiz.
Could be that too I guess

Such a fun idea!
This is incredible
And here I thought you couldn't put porn on UA-cam
This is amazing!
Vortex at Kings Island was actually good.
That was so cool!
Nice color scheme on steel venom
Fantastic!
This is genious!
Crazy=Genius
creative idea!!!👍👍
bro thats so cool tf
The specific rides are in the description for everyone guessing wrong in the comments
This rollercoaster has 9 inversions ❤
So fun. I knew all of em apart from the blue and orange track?
Gonna have to add RMC lift hill launch in your next update lmao
You could replace the shuttle loop's spike with the blue side of Batman and Robin: The Chiller
@@KingdaToro if I make a Frankencoaster 3 (and I do have ideas for that already) I might do that.

Only got 1 wrong (Greezed Lightnin’)
I think you should have done a vertical launch lift for volcano.

Let’s goo vortex🎉🎉🎉
I was confused and wondered why you put dodonpa at the end, then remembered there was an american one too lol
Hell yea
I don’t know the first one or the teal track nor do I know what defunct coaster the blue and yellow is. If you know please let me know
Well I guessed the first two at least 😅
👏👏👏👏👏
where is volcano the blast coaster?
This theoretically can be possible
Only one nobody misses is son of beast but it definitly deserves the hate
Now u have to make one with kingda ka 😢😢😢
I thought switch tracks were already in no limits so why need edit one in?
Imagine if this was real
How much do you reckon it would cost?
Like 5 Bugatti chirons, maybe 10
No dragster?!?!!?!?
@@rootintootinpootin880 I do have follow-ups planned.
@@Sokobansolver You should it with dragster's launch then go into something else.
How the fuck did you connect all those disparate coasters together like that?!
