seriously overpriced - this really is going after the Twisted/Kahn/LR Heritage mob who pay massively over the odds for every little 'trinket' . The cubby boxes look interesting as I think they would age well in a workhorse vehicle but I suspect a well made marine ply box would last better. Also as they are based in the Netherlands you can expect it to be an expensive pain in the butt to bring in, especially at that ex VAT price
How much?????? OMFG!!!!!., Seriously it looks nice but there’s a flaw in the plan: timber doesn’t like temperature and humidity variations. It swells, shrinks, warps and splits. When you got it the moisture content was probably 8-12%. After a couple of months of our famous rainy and damp weather the moisture content will be up to maybe double that and then things start to move especially if the car heaters are occasionally drying it out and that famously waterproof Landie windscreen is feeding it water every day. Good luck with it but I suspect there might be trouble ahead. Fingers crossed for you 🤞
Iroco is used as good kitchen tops. We’ve had our ten years wet round taps most of that time, no rot. Very stable oily hardwood and it’s not cheap to buy either. A pice like that as an off cut could cost twenty to fifty( chat up a bespoke kitchen work top firm ) But that’s a bit of time with a router and bench saw; 500 are you serious! Might as well do it in granite and be really fucking trendy. Iroco dust is nasty wear a proper mask. And if it’s oiled it oxidises and darkens after a while. Though it’d bleach in sun as a dash. No place in a rover in my opinion
Thought looked good maybe a dark finish would work in my truck, then saw the price ! Man I just love the plastic dash 😂😂😂
lol
Is this wood dash made of gold?
Since my dash started cracking, I was wondering exactly the same. I appreciate you made this very helpful video. Cheers
Thank you mate!
Do you know if these dashes work on 1972 right hand drive series lll trucks?
I’m not sure. It’s worth asking Defender Wood.
Thanks for responding! John
Dear Borris,
hope you’re well
what is the infotainment installed on your truck.
thank you
Hi please check the video for the installation on my channel
Looks great, well done.
Over £700 for the wood dash?
you bought? I guess you made it own with cnc
That looks incredible be so good to get a matching speedo surround Can’t believe how good it looks
Thank you! I like it too. Lots of people don’t haha
Looks great. But- the price is eye watering. Time to dust off the old router.
Haha 😂 diy is always fun
Just had a heart attack when I went on their website, they are having a giraffe with how much they want for them. Silly money for pointless toot.
How do the dash vents connect?
Just with pressure
Did the same in Irish ☘️ Ash !
Hi, Where can i purchase this from?
looks the business man, saved their website for later ;)
Reminds me of Walther WA200 rifle stock. Nice.
So true! I love that design!
Well done!!
Which wood is this ? 😍😍😍
Iroko :)
@@BorisTheDefender thanks !
Can I have your old dash? Mine is torn!
soooo cool
Yeah I love it! Cheers
Oh my!
Nice look, the problem is the price, £478 is too much for that.
Nice product but still missing some details!!! And one 100% overpriced.
Very good looking. I bought my Defender from the owner of this company.
Oh wow really? That’s cool!
Can I buy your old plastic dash please ? My dog just eat mine after a mouse 🐁!!
Nice piece of wood, but 500€ for this is overpriced ..
Way overpriced considering that it’s probably made with a Cnc machine.
£550!!!
£730 ex VAT now

Iroko is a hard wearing wood used in sailing. It’s also been treated. But I’ll guess we’ll have to see
Hi
At over £700 it’s way overpriced.
