Technique of the Week - T.J. Dillashaw's Single Leg

Did you miss the chance pick the brains of UFC veterans Joseph Benevidez and T.J. Dillashaw at Sunday's Team Alpha Male seminar at Absolute MMA and Conditioning? That was silly. maan if i had tj as my high school wrestling coach i'd be wrestling right now in college, i swear. i had a 6 man wrestling team and two coaches who were good wrestlers, but not good teachers. i learned more in these 2 and a half minutes than i did in 2 days in high school.

Why isn't he worried about the guillotine from the head outside single? Usually people are taught to go head inside single and head outside double to prevent.

+P Yun the whipping momentum of pulling your opponent across your body naturally protects your neck/head in the single. it's actually more dangerous to keep your head outside on a double because you're not pulling them across your body, you're actually driving into their theirs . benson henderson and chael sonnen drive their head into their opponents chest on their power doubles for that very reason.
