Man, I wish I had seen this back when I was learning Chromazone, I busted my ass trying to learn that, haha I should of just let the sax cover it ;p It's nice to finally find out I did it right though:) It's really cool to see someone that good be that humble and modest.
There's a recording of Manuel Barrueco doing a bunch of those Bach sonatas on classical guitar that are great. They apparently work quite well on a solid body too!
As a rock guitarist I have a problem with a lot of jazz guitarist, men NOT this guy. Amazing sound, songs and feel. And seems like a genuinly cool guy as well.
Another effective way to practice scales without having to constantly sing the root note is to use the low E or A string as a droning bass note and then play scales back to back on the higher strings. Keep hitting the droning bass note to keep it ringing as you play scales over top. After awhile you won't have to use your eyes to find the intervallic sounds on the guitar - you will be able to play these scales all over the neck blindfolded without any set fingering.
what a humble, amazing musician. it's almost like he doesnt realize what a monster he is!

In case somebody is interested in the Bach piece, it's the fourth movement (Presto) of the violin sonata num. 1 BWV100.
