I'm an introvert that is in a society that feels so loud and fast paced. I often feel overwhelmed and tired. Your videos and presence feel like home for my soul. It makes me contemplate about life and it gives me wisdom. Thank you, Paola! I'm always happy to watch your video. It keeps me calm and at peace.
I feel this as well and appreciate other people like this. I comment because sometimes people tend to think its not so good if you are not outgoing or as social as others. I don't agree and think its ok to be quiet or enjoy peace and time alone away from the noise.
I am a 74 year old woman who has been unhappy most of those years so when I watch your videos it calms me down and takes me to a wonderful dreamy place living a life like yours. The fantasy world is wonderful place and this is where I see you living. You are living the life many of us dream about. And we watch your videos and live our dream life through you. You have no idea how much you are touching lives. God has put you on this earth for that very reason......never stop doing what you are doing.....touching lives and helping others heal. YOU are a healer! God bless and keep you. Joy
I loved that you spend your money on books. When I was 12 years old ( I am now 70!) , my mother took me to a thrift shop and gave me a dollar to buy anything I wanted. Well I found a whole box of hard bound Readers Digest books that had 3 stories in each one. When I got home, my dad asked what I got. When I showed him my treasure of 10 books with all the beautiful bindings and colors and stories waiting for me to read, he said "That is the best dollar you will ever spend in your life". Daddy passed at 95 years old, but he is the reason I have loved and collected books my whole life.
I was 12 when I started reading books from my mums library. I am sure my love of reading helped expand my language skills, and ability to write more cohesively. In fact, I achieved 100% in high school English, and never had to take any of the “required” university English classes. I asked my hubby if he likes living in a “used book shop”, to which he wisely replied “No”. Before we moved into our current house we had two sets of bookshelves in our home, to house our numerous books.
My aunt and uncle lived in Washington State. I grew up in a suburb of Chicago. I always thought that Washington was such a wild and exotic place, I still think it is. My Aunt Mary would send me books and I loved it. I especially loved the Shel Silverstein poetry books she would send. I would also go to Powell's Books in Chicago with my dad which is a huge used book store. You can wander for hours. One of my favorite poems from childhood, and to this day, is The Jumblies.
I love the Readers Digest condensed books. My paternal grandmother gave me, 15 years old, a box of them that she and my grandfather had read. Mostly from the 1950’s-60’s . These were such a pleasure that even now if I see them in a thrift store, I check out the titles to see if I have read that particular volume. I think I have found just about all of them. Anything newer didn’t hold my interest. My father also told me that there was always money for books if I wanted them. I didn’t go to college or university , but anything I wanted to know or learn came from books. Now there is the internet which I use of course, but books are still very important to me
Haha, I worked at a small independent bookstore for years, we weren’t even allowed to whisper ‘amazon’ while in the building lol - I’m pretty sure my former boss would hunt me down if I did 😂
Yes, there are so many people who have a sponsorship. Although, they might have a passion for reading, you can’t truly tell sometimes! Thank you for this!
I was so surprised to hear that we're so close in age! I always assumed that you were much older than me, not because you *look* older, but because you carry yourself with such a wise, insightful disposition. Thank you for sharing these wonderful answers with us, and for being such a lovely person to watch!
Hey Paola, I'm also 24! I know this sounds silly but one of the things that excited me the most when I found your channel was your cultural background! My mom is Mexican and my dad is primarily Welsh/German/French and I have bright red hair. I love seeing someone find that balance in their heritage. It's been difficult for me sometimes to feel like I can rightfully embrace my cultural identity and it's been so nice to finally realize that it can be okay just being in the middle. -Sarita ❤
In this complicated and difficult world, it is so nice to find someone like you, who enjoys beautiful things, who love animals (specially dogs and bunnies!!) and books, who is so sensitive and kind! It make us think we are not alone!
This made me feel like I'm in the kitchen , sitting and drinking coffee and just having deep conversations with a friend. Your voice is so soothing, i can listen to it all day. ♥
I would go so far as to say most human interactions should not be about who is right and who is wrong. We should enjoy each other as we are. Most of the time
I think you might be the most genuine person on UA-cam. It felt like we were just sitting there have a real conversation and I enjoyed every second of it. You should do more videos like this!!
I am so so glad you said "one the bravest things is to say I'm sorry." I've thought that for some time. I shake my head when I hear people say that saying sorry is a sign of weakness. It is NOT. You have a great outlook and it should be admired and learned from.
Something that frustrates me is those people who say " l'm sorry " , but don't really mean it . I've known way too many of those people in my life time . Some will say they're sorry thinking that , that will end a discussion they're not interested in . ( mostly about someones feelings they may hurt ) . If one doesn't actually feel sorry , it's best to say nothing . I learned this from my mom when l was quite young . Thankyou mama .
I lost my very best friend in 2013 from a severe bout of bronchitis. We met at 4 years of age and went through school together, were in each other's weddings, supported each other in our careers and raised our children together. I turned 60 in August, she would be 60 today, September 29th. The grief is nearly overwhelming on days like this. I needed to hear that I am a living memorial of her life. Thank you.
Gardenmom61, I am so sorry for your loss. Hopefully, you can draw upon all of the beautiful memories you shared with your friend when you have sad, down days. 💗
Today is my mom's 60th birthday as well. She died when she was 47 and I was 22. The grief is always there, but fond memories supplant sadness most of the time these days. ♥️
I understand how you feel as I lost my soul mate friend of 37 years 2 years ago from cancer. I miss her every single day. It might help you to make a memory jar for all your wonderful memories of your friendship. I write each memory on a piece of coloured paper and pop it in the jar. When Im feeling low or sad I open the jar and reading a memory and it takes me straight back to those happy times. Just an idea, it might help you. Sue from the UK x
Wishing you lightness in your heart, for the greater your love the longer your grief. It was lovely to hear that prospective of which "we are their memorial " is beautiful way to see things 😀😊❤
How sensitive and joyous you are!-I just turned 75 and can tell you from this perch that you are making the most important life-enriching choices and living the most intentional and thoughtful life. May you continue to bless and be blessed!,
I totally agree and at 66 I'm just starting to live my life like Paola (having retired last year) but I so admire the young doing this and finding ways to live financially and in harmony with her lifestyle choices. The internet is wonderful, something we never had as a 'business' choice 40 years ago.
I just turned 53 and finding Paola’s channel last year has been refreshing. Though I put my creative side away about 35 years ago in order to focus on the analytical side of my brain, watching Paolas videos has made me start tinkering with creativity again. ❤️
I was really shocked to hear that you’re 24, and that I’m older than you at 25! I’ve been watching your videos and finding so much peace. I’ve looked up to you, and how you’ve carved a way for yourself to live how you want. I know everyone goes at different paces, but I hope one day I can get to where you are.
Most definitely YES to teaching again, our children need your gentle loving way & yes to kitties! I have 2 rez kitties & they are the most loving affectionate kitties ever!
I was so close to my cat, he was so intelligent and curious, he joined me on the every day chores I did and told us when it was bedtime, so he could wait outside for me to brush my teeth then he would wait for us to carry him upstairs lol

Every morning I wake up, make my coffee and watch your vlog before studying. Your vlog became my therapy, my escape and my motivation. Thank you so much Paola 🌷
Hello my faerie friends 🤍 hope you are well. I would love to get to know you as well, please share something about yourself below! I answered some more questions here -> How long have I lived here? Almost 2 1/2 years Why did you chose to live rural? I didn’t really chose to live here, it is where the right job was, plus my family moved here several years ago and I wanted to live near them! What do you miss about the city? While I love where I live I think there are pros and cons to each living situation. I miss the variety of foods available in the city, and museums and watching plays! I enjoy them even more now when I do get to go. If you don’t have wifi, where do you work? I have an office space I visit to do the majority of my work. It used to be in the attic of a house that is now being rented out, so I have a new office space in town which works even better for me. How do I make a living? My primary job is as an artist and Etsy business owner. I also create short films here on UA-cam. It has been a long road to get here and I am so grateful to be able to do this for a while. I hope to begin teaching again in the future. Can you introduce your pets: I have a labrador named Aegir and a bunny named Mr. Darcy. I would love to get a kitty someday! Will you start making more baking videos in the future? Yes! I hope to do a lot more baking in the fall and winter 🧁 Why does Darcy have 123 tattooed in his ear? Darcy is a rescue so I don’t know his whole story. However, I suspect when he was born into a rabbitry business and that was a way to mark him in a large litter. Where have you lived? My father is a former Navy Captain and I moved around a lot growing up. I spent a few years in Puerto Rico, 2 years in Cuba, 2 years between Ireland and Italy, and the rest in several different states in the USA. Do you own your cottage? No, I just rent. I have other houses around me, one that also is rented. My mami is one of my neighbors ❤️ for obvious safety reasons I keep much of where I live private. Where do you live? NE Washington Is it more expensive to live in the countryside? While moving can be expensive, I found it more affordable to live here long term since I used to live in a very expensive city. However, it completely depends on where you live, it varies greatly. Compared to lest touristic towns, the cost here is still much higher than rural areas that do not attract as many tourists. It’s very relative and I refrain from giving advice since everyone’s situation is different. What advice would you give to your younger self? Be gentle to yourself, believe in change over time, and open a retirement account asap 😂 Do you hope to get married and have kids? Yes, someday… I will answer more questions in a future video!
Thank you so much!! Your passion for books is so lovely...have you ever read the Bible? I find the psalms so beautiful and calming. Just curious! Sending you a big hug❤
Thanks for all the answers to questions that you so brilliantly did with ease. Don't be afraid in front of the camera because I'm certain most of us just love to sit and chat with you as you are so endearing, sweet, intelligent, thoughtful and have a beautiful soul. I so appreciate listening to your wisdom and am so happy to have found you. You always brighten my day.
I have great respect for early childhood educators...they have the most stressful job and get very little recognition or compensation especially in public education. As an artist, in the traditional sense or as a youtuber, you are an inspirational reminder of what really is important in life. This media is a wonderful way for you to express your many talents.... Thank you...Paola!
@@TheCottageFairy you look a whoke lot like my daughter's preschool teacher. The minute i met her i had such affection for her. She wrote them little letters with little colored feathers and sweet nothings to introduce herself and i found it so cute. Like she reaply cares about them. She is younger than me and has this sweet aura to her just like you. I am a bookworm and an introvert and watching your videos makes me so happy as i realise i am not the only one who wants a quiet Life💗
I'm an American who took a turn and am living in Bujumbura, Burundi. I find your videos so soothing and grounding for me! Thank you for being brave and sharing yourself with the world.
I sometimes feel so touched by how utterly sweet you are. You reminded me of Princess Diana in this video with your dignity and deep kindness. I also appreciate your acceptance of what you call your nerdiness. I think your nerdiness is part of what makes you so relatable. You are a true kindred spirit. I made a pop-up book about my cats recently and made a video about it and when I watch your videos I feel a little bit less worried about whether people will think it's silly of me to do or not. You inspire artists around you to be themselves. Gosh! I could just go on about all the ways you help! Thank you.
I was also thinking that she reminds me of Princess Diana. She resembles her and also has that same kindness mixed with playfulness. Also, I love that you made a pop-up book about your cats. That's wonderful!
I love your answer about anger because I struggle with that too. I've never been short tempered but often I felt stepped over because I let people. It's definetly a learning process to be more assertive.
Okay, I tear up a little bit when I saw you saying Te Amo to your mom. 🥺!!! I am native Venezuelan living in TX, my husband is from here and we have a 4 month old daughter. I have been speaking to her in Spanish since she was born, and reading her so many Spanish books. If when she grows up she tells me Te Amo when I walk in a room, everything I have done would be worthy. You don’t have idea how special is hearing those words in your native language!! I love watching your videos because you have such a great value to family and that it is not common anymore!!
@@sallymerrell4491 It is a gift to be bi-lingual and many jobs will pay higher salaries for this skill and gift. Puerto Rico is a part of our country p.s. and Spanish is spoken there. European countries have always taught school children a second language to give their citizens a more well rounded and worldly education. America IS a country of immigrants - we have always been called the "melting pot" of the world.
My husband and I love watching your channel. We both find you such a breath of fresh air. We are both law professor and what a joy it would be to have you as a colleague. We wish you nothing but peace and happiness and thank you for sharing a part of your lovely self.
I struggle with anxiety and depression and your videos have helped me so many times so thank you for making these videos. Helps more then you know. Ypu are also such an inspiration at how to thrive in this one life of ours
I came across your channel very early this morning by total chance and I cannot find the words to express the feelings your videos inspire. I too was a student of English Literature and planned to be a professor. I married instead, and chose the path of living a simple family life raising five boys. I homeschool now, and try to incorporate the beauty of simplicity in our daily life. If you see this message I just wanted to encourage you by saying thank you. Thank you for the contributions you make in this world. You are wise beyond your years. I bless you. Shalom.
This is one of the rare times where I have truly related to a person. I admire you, Paola, you are so wise, you make me feel as if we are kindred spirits, separated only by distance.
You are an amazing young lady. I have to laugh when I look at my list of subscribed channels and see TheCottageFairy among all of my other "manly" channels. I like watching those channels, but your videos have always touched me and I really enjoy watching you live life to the fullest. To see you be so open and vulnerable in your videos is very moving. You are obviously an old soul in a beautiful young body. Its amazing to watch your channel grow so fast. Keep up the great work!!!
That “te amo” to your mother brought a genuine smile to my face (and almost a tear)🥲 your soul is beautiful Paolita, thank you for sharing your passions and love to this world… you spread positive energy with your smile❤️
I have felt like a misfit my entire life and considered odd by my peers. Now I am a grown 23-year-old woman and I feel really confident in my oddities because they are what makes me... well, me. And finding your channel was like finding my tribe. I feel like we are kindred spirits. You bring me comfort, you make me feel welcomed and seen, Paola! I always carry a book in my backpack, own a mini projector and Everdell is my favorite board game ever (I love that you can also play it solo! it is the perfect match for a any introvert that loves fairytales and woodland and anything magical). Oh and the love for renaissance fairs! And the way you keep smiling when you talk even though you are literally alone standing in front of a camera.
Oh crap. Here I was just about to wrap it up for the night when what should appear a video by one of my favorite artistic creators. Even a simple Q&A video has such an artsy look and tranquil feel that once I started it of course I'd watch until the end. As for speaking in front of the camera, Paola, you've got an inherent underlying laugh in your voice which is quite captivating, combined with lovely tone, cadence, and intonation.
I also studied English as an undergraduate and wrote my Senior Thesis on "Alice in Wonderland." I completely agree that an English degree is what you put in to it, and will pass that idea on to my daughter, who is also an English major. In addition, I noticed that you had The Return of the King next to you, which is also one of the books currently on my desk! It was nice to get to know more about you. I feel a strong affinity for fellow English majors.
Paola! I can't say I see or hear any facet of your presence before the camera that could be enhanced. Truly a you are a gem of extreme rarity, and value!!! That comes from being a professional jeweler for half a century. Thank You!
Hi,Paola! I "discovered" you only recently, but the calm and peaceful world, the serene atmosfere you're able to create are, now, the precious way for starting my day. I wake up very early, and your company, when doing breakfast, and it'still dark outside, prepares me for a better day. THANK YOU!!!!
P.S. Last week my husband and I had a break in Devon, England and we stayed in a cottage. Every evening a little wild bunny came to visit us, it came very close and was the sweetest, cutest bundle of fur! Just such a lovely thing to happen. X
Hi Paola. I discovered your channel yesterday and I must say, I'm very impressed. It's just mesmerizing the way in which you articulate your life experiences with such sensitivity and elegance. I very much look forward to exploring the rest of your videos.
It was so nice to get to know you better. I always enjoy your videos. My Mom recently passed away. Other than my husband and sons, she was my only family. It has been hard not having any of my family left. Can’t really explain the emptiness. Thinking of my life as a memorial to her helps. Thank you for sharing. Beth
What an interesting, well-spoken young woman you are. I’ve been glued to your videos for a while now and you’ve made me realize a lot about life. What an inspiration. Keep being the light that you are to many. We are grateful for you and all that you openly share with us. Sending you all the good energy!🦋🌻✨
15:20 "You become a living memorial to the people that you have lost." I really like that. You were absolutely fine in front of the camera. No need to worry.
I recently bought some of your fairy art to use in place of birthday cards for special people in my life. The artwork is lovely. I appreciate your videos which always bring me a sense of peace and beauty. Thank you for sharing your talents with us. Blessings to you.
I taught preschool for many years....I feel it is the foundation that their whole education is built upon. I love children's books so looking forward to seeing your books published!
Thank you for being so honest and sincere about grief, and for sharing things about yourself that are so personal. It’s very brave and so beautiful. You’ve given me some precious moments of tranquility without letting me forget myself. ❤️
Nothing wrong with being a nerd. Nerds unite! "Every dollar I spent on something could be spent on a book." I feel this so much lol. I have relatives in Bellingham!
Paola, it was so wonderful to hear your story and know a little bit more about you. I love your work. Thanks for bringing in a little joy and peace in my life over the past month as I grieve my father-in-law.
I just found your channel. And I believe it was not a random thing. You have helped to bring peace to my soul. I have had a very hard 2 years. Loosing a young nephew and my husband who was my heart. Thank you for sharing your life. I love rabbits too and all animals. Their unconditional love is how I imagine Gods love for us.
You are one remarkable young lady. People like you amaze me. There is creativity and artistry in everything you do…From your head to foot and all that surrounds you. I find it truly inspiring. Deepest thanks for sharing your life with us. It is so very difficult to balance wants with needs to find balance and inner peace. God bless you dear one.
I think you’re great in front of the camera, it’s a treat to see your natural personality. It’s great to hear that you went to UCD, which was just a short distance from my mother-in-law’s house in Clonskeagh, Dublin! I look forward to meeting your family in a video, especially your mother!
I just don't understand why anyone would dislike any of your videos. I love what you're doing and your videos are truly my time to slow down. I appreciate you!!
"How could anyone ever tell you You were anything less than beautiful? How could anyone ever tell you you were less than whole? How could anyone fail to notice that your loving is a miracle, how deeply you’re connected to my soul." Quote by Libby Roderick.
@@lorenenoe4472 I am glad that you could get a reminder of your favorite song... It has meant so much for me!... For a few years, I listened to it every evening before going to sleep. It is a healng-song. Such simple words, but ever so important! One of the world's most beautiful love songs, in my opinion. Take care!!
Thank you so much for sharing your story, Paola! I feel like we have much in common, being creative, introverted and family oriented. Your channel is a place of peace I find at the end of my day. Thanks for being you and sharing your art, insight, and home with us :)
Such a lovely, wise young woman you are. I am in my early 70's and really enjoy your videos. You have a keen and sensitive eye to beauty and light. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Really enjoyed this format, we all like to see your face and feel like you are talking directly to us. The only missing part was a shared cup of tea. Please continue your usual vlogs too, the artistic creativity is so refreshing and appreciated in our world. It was fun to hear your moms voice and we will look forward to their introduction some day. 🍁
I really enjoy listening to you talking about your interests of nature as that is something I share. Your voice is so relaxing to listen to. Your cottage looks so cosy and I love to see your beautiful paintings of flowers and animals. I live in Jersey Channel Islands. My favourite books are Bramley Hedge,Beatrix Potter and the country diary of an Edwardian lady. Looking forward to your next video. God bless.
Watched this video with a nice pumpkin candle, coffee, and my favorite sweater. Your videos are always an absolute joy and comfort to me, and I just wanted to say that this new style is just as enjoyable. I live rurally and tend to spend a lot of time alone or with my little girl, so I loved getting your perspective on things and your recommendations :) I'd probably watch anything you created, honestly haha
You did so well talking to the camera! Thank you for answering our questions. You have such a lovely spirit and I’m always filled with peace and joy after watching your videos. Thank you for spreading the light!
Paola, we are birthday buddies and the same age! I wanted to say thank you so, so much for your videos. They bring me such a sense of calm at the end of the day. It’s been a difficult few months personally, and knowing that there is someone else out there like me is very comforting and motivating to me to continue pursuing my own dreams. Thank you so much for the amazing, peaceful and thoughtful corner of the internet you’ve created. Immense love from Canada ❤️🌻🌞🌷
I found your videos earlier this year and they're so inspiring and heartfelt--and the topics you cover seem to somehow always resonate with what's going on in my own life. I know being on camera and editing and filming is a LOT of work, so thank you for sharing (and doing) what you do. I loved this Q&A video and would be more than happy to see them whenever you feel like making them. Again, thank you for all that you do and share--your words have definitely helped me on hard days.
I really like what you said about grieving. I lost my mother recently and am dealing with grief. It is hard. I enjoyed learning a little more about you. Thank you for what you do.
This made me feel like I'm in the kitchen, sitting and drinking coffee, and just having deep conversations with a friend. Your voice is so soothing; I can listen to it all day.
Anytime I'm feeling overly stressed I pull your videos up and just listen and breathe. Even this one is a breath of fresh air. Thank you so much! 💜 have a great day and please keep making videos. ☺️
Paula you are without a doubt the most grounded person I know on UA-cam. Thank you for so much with all that you do for the betterment of others. Your a blessing put on this turbulent planet of ours for a reason. Jesus lived by example and so do you, thank you so much from me in Tasmania Australia xx.
Thank you for this video. I loved it! I also loved it when you talked about grief and that we are living memorials for our loved ones that we lost. That is so incredibly beautiful. I lost my son to cancer 3 months ago and this is really a new way for me to look at it. So thank you for that. Thank you so much for your time and loving kindness. God bless!
Paola, I listened to you while drawing, listening to the spring rain outside and dreaming about a cosy cup of tea I’m about to go make. Thank you for such a nice time, and for your warm steady company. I’m smiling, to hear the smile in your voice. Have a wonderful week ahead x
Have no idea how I came across your Chanel but I loved it. I love your lifestyle, cottage home, your candle collection, . Indeed a fairytale. Watching your podcast inclined my imagination! Young and bright living a life you created for yourself is brilliant and adventure.
I love watching your videos... You're so calm and kind.. Much love from here. Philippines. Thank you so much for creating something so inspiring and everytime I watch your videos. It makes me feel light and motivated in Life. Thank you Thank you so much.. Me watching your videos is a kind of my escape from the anxiety of this pandemic. Makes me feel hopeful and blessed. Thank you Paola.❤️
It is so refreshing how you put feelings of being angry and upset in a positive light. I am highly sensitive and suffer from a burnout and try to love myself and my „negative“ feelings so that helped me a lot. Many people, even those I thought were friends, react with disapproval and contempt. There are also those who say it's my own fault because I don't manifest well enough and don't think enough positive thoughts. To see what is useful even in feelings we usually do not want to have, and „loving what is“, helps me a lot. I like your soft and loving way and the art of seeing beauty in everything
Loved this video as much as all the others, you are a lovely presence on line, I look forward to Wednesday evening and getting to watch what you have chosen to share in your peaceful beautiful videos….
Renaissance fairs are so wonderful! I can't wait until they allowed again. If you ever make your way to Europe, in September there is the annual 'Festival Mediaval' in Selb (Germany just next to the German boarder) on a forest-covered hill and it is the absolute best! They also do writing and art workshops there and it is the biggest medieval festival in Europe 👸🧚
I absolutely loved seeing and hearing you in this context - you are such a lovely and intelligent person. And very eloquent! Could listen to you all day. Your interaction with your mum was so sweet, too, and I loved how you answered the question about grief. It made me think you'd be such an excellent person to share vulnerabilities with.
So enjoyable to “meet you” in this format Paola! Looking forward to more videos on your adventures, cooking & baking, and artistic expressions. Oh, and you animal family too!
Hello Paola! I am so happy to have found your channel. I too live in a rural setting and it is my life! I am intense about my flowers and gardening and spent a lot of my time outdoors and need the quiet, stillness and peace that surround me. Your channel is beautiful, funny, and charming and fits beautifully into my life. Your creativity inspires me!
Well done Paola! Very well done. The kindness and gentleness in your videos came thru in your thoughtful and delightful answers. The Hidden Life of Trees is an enchanting book and Everdell looks like a delightful game! Best wishes to you and those you hold dear to your heart. Hugs from Canada!
You are a breath of fresh air. And so wise, centered and eloquent for being just 24. I’m going on 42 in a few weeks and watching your videos makes me reflect on my own life when I was your age. You’ve accomplished so much already. I hope you continue to grow in your journey and share your wisdom with all of us. Thanks, Paola.
This video was one of my favorites from you. I loved seeing your personality shine through the Q&A. Thank you for sharing a little bit of yourself with fellow kindred spirits.
Introverts rock! Paola is a beautiful example. We tend to be thoughtful - thinking through things carefully and the results can be beautiful. Sometimes we are judged for seeming to be a little less social (though it's really about bandwith not anti social) but there are absolutely beautiful sides of this type of personality as well.
This was such a lovely way to start my day! I started watching different channels on UA-cam when the Pandemic shut most of us indoors, last year. I have so enjoyed your videos and found myself looking forward, with great anticipation, each time I would see that a new video was up! As I have said before, your art resonates not only in your paintings and crafts, but, also in your view through the lens as well as your speaking voice. Whatever life experiences you have had, whether good or bad, you have emerged a very lovely, enchanting person! Thank you for continuing to share your world with us!! Blessings!
Paola, it's really nice of you to step out of your comfort zone and share more about yourself. It was great to know more about you in your serene and lovely surroundings. You have a beautiful family, a beautiful heart and soul, and I appreciate you. God bless you and your loved ones. 💖🙏🏻💖
So much this. Love your regular content. Loved the Q&A. Love your videos in a different format. You are genuine in all that you produce and that is why it works. Stay grounded and true to yourself. I will keep watching. :-)
You seem so wise and mature beyond your years. I certainly didn't think you looked older than 24 years old, but I am just completely overwhelmed with your talent, writing skill, and videography. I assumed you had to be older, because your perspective is just way beyond your years. Your videos and story-telling are just absolutely beautiful.
I feel the same way. I relate to this comment so much
Exactly....i also feels the same
I feel this as well and appreciate other people like this. I comment because sometimes people tend to think its not so good if you are not outgoing or as social as others. I don't agree and think its ok to be quiet or enjoy peace and time alone away from the noise.
I feel like that too sometimes
@Sandryl ... thank you. You have voiced my reasons also. Peace and calm radiate from Paola ❤

How wonderful.
My Dad was like that too. Blessed are we. ❤️
Now there is the internet which I use of course, but books are still very important to me
AS a college professor of 20 years, I feel that you have honored the path of your soul. Thank you for sharing your gifts 💜💜💙💙💚💚💙💙💜💜
Yes I think she chose the better path
Thanks for being a genuine💖professor!
It’s refreshing to hear someone talk about books and not push out an Audible code and sponsorship. 📚❤️
Haha, I worked at a small independent bookstore for years, we weren’t even allowed to whisper ‘amazon’ while in the building lol - I’m pretty sure my former boss would hunt me down if I did 😂
@@TheCottageFairy Some book recommendation: try anything by Guy Gavriel Kay - history based fantasy, beatifully written.
Yes, there are so many people who have a sponsorship. Although, they might have a passion for reading, you can’t truly tell sometimes! Thank you for this!
KAITLYN you should check out darling Desi. She is obsessed with books. Holding and reading hardback books.
@@minarosered6699 Thank you! I will check her out!
I was so surprised to hear that we're so close in age! I always assumed that you were much older than me, not because you *look* older, but because you carry yourself with such a wise, insightful disposition. Thank you for sharing these wonderful answers with us, and for being such a lovely person to watch!
Professor wouldn't have made you happy. Especially in this age. But guess what? You're already our Professor bc you teach so many.
Love your comment
This is wonderful and it is so true! Thank you for this!
This made me feel like I'm in the kitchen , sitting and drinking coffee and just having deep conversations with a friend. Your voice is so soothing, i can listen to it all day. ♥
same !
"Not all human interactions should be about who is right and who is wrong."
-thecottagefairy
I would go so far as to say most human interactions should not be about who is right and who is wrong. We should enjoy each other as we are. Most of the time
I think you might be the most genuine person on UA-cam. It felt like we were just sitting there have a real conversation and I enjoyed every second of it. You should do more videos like this!!
im sure you get this compliment endlessly, but you have the kindest eyes. theyre are so stunning.
Enjoyed! Thanks for sharing your life!!
💛
I understand! I lost my dearest best friend (we met in kindergarten) almost 10 years ago. Miss her everyday 😢
If I ever feel burnt out, I just watch her videos. Her videos are really calming
How sensitive and joyous you are!-I just turned 75 and can tell you from this perch that you are making the most important life-enriching choices and living the most intentional and thoughtful life. May you continue to bless and be blessed!,
It's good to see someone older than me on this channel :-) I totally agree
I totally agree and at 66 I'm just starting to live my life like Paola (having retired last year) but I so admire the young doing this and finding ways to live financially and in harmony with her lifestyle choices. The internet is wonderful, something we never had as a 'business' choice 40 years ago.
I will turn 75 on Sunday and am delighted to have found Paola's channel. It is such a calming influence and a true blessing! Thank you :)
Love your videos!!!
Are you a person of faith?
I was so close to my cat, he was so intelligent and curious, he joined me on the every day chores I did and told us when it was bedtime, so he could wait outside for me to brush my teeth then he would wait for us to carry him upstairs lol

Hello my faerie friends 🤍 hope you are well. I would love to get to know you as well, please share something about yourself below! I answered some more questions here ->
How long have I lived here? Almost 2 1/2 years
Why did you chose to live rural?
Yes! I hope to do a lot more baking in the fall and winter 🧁
Why does Darcy have 123 tattooed in his ear?
NE Washington
Is it more expensive to live in the countryside? While moving can be expensive, I found it more affordable to live here long term since I used to live in a very expensive city. However, it completely depends on where you live, it varies greatly. Compared to lest touristic towns, the cost here is still much higher than rural areas that do not attract as many tourists. It’s very relative and I refrain from giving advice since everyone’s situation is different.
What advice would you give to your younger self? Be gentle to yourself, believe in change over time, and open a retirement account asap 😂
Do you hope to get married and have kids? Yes, someday…
I will answer more questions in a future video!
I hope U kno Jesus loves U he's waiting for U

I wounder if i can ask you to help me?!
Amazing! Just started watching your videos and we have the same birthday except mine is another decade...😊
Thank you so much!! Your passion for books is so lovely...have you ever read the Bible? I find the psalms so beautiful and calming. Just curious! Sending you a big hug❤
I really enjoyed this video and getting to know you better.

Thank you.
Princess Diana...what a huge compliment for this precious little lady we all found here 💕🙏🤗
I was also thinking that she reminds me of Princess Diana. She resembles her and also has that same kindness mixed with playfulness. Also, I love that you made a pop-up book about your cats. That's wonderful!
I agree completely with your comment ☺️🙏🏼
This is so so true!!

❤️ thank you so much
You are an amazing young lady.
Ah! Thank you Matthew! That is so kind, I appreciate it very much. Wishing you a lovely night and sweet dreams!
Thank You!

You are such a kind and genuine person and this is so refreshing to see in a younger person. 💕
I enjoy everything you do. You are a sweetheart. It is a pleasure to get to know you and your family.
"You become a living memorial to the people that you have lost." ... truly beautiful.
This resonated with me as well.
You are one of the most incredible content creators I've ever come cross keep doing you because the magic is within you ✨🥰
So much this.
