  • Heyyy! In this video my roommate and I share how we transformed her Goodwill dresser and night stands into mirrored cuteness! haha. This all cost less than $100 by the way!
    I'll fill in the items we used later :)

    Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.

      What I was saying is.... Most DIY only show you the perfect outcome... but this Video could happen to any person doing their first DIY.... ( I know what happens when you leave grout on too long but some people don't and do not know how to fix it when this happens)

    You guys did an awesome job. I've watched so many mirror mosaic videos and yours is the most helpful. You actually show all the steps and made it easy for other DIYers to follow along. Thank you so much. I'm going to do this to a cheap Ikea tabletop and turn it into my living room coffee table.

    The final product looks amazing. For future projects when using grout it needs to be wiped out right after it was applied with a wet sponge. You can have a bucket of water next to you to keep rinsing off the sponge. The instruction on how to use the grout are on the package.

    • @nickySe7en666
      @nickySe7en666 5 років тому +2

      They mentioned in the video that the package was confusing, which is true, so they obviously knew where the "instructions" were.. don't gotta be a dick about it.

    You guys did great! Typical mistakes for first timers! Just a few things to look for next time - use chalk paint and you will not have to sand. also, apply grout and immediately wipe grout lightly off the mirror and leaving it in spaces which when I do mosaic I put mirror pieces closer together.

    • @JussErin

    Preeeeeety! I love your errors because your lessons help us all to NOT repeat them. I cringed when you didn't use a bucket or old milk carton to mix your grout but hey, it still worked! Awesome you hung in there and made some crazy cool drawers. Thanks for posting your creation.

    FABULOUS!!👏👏👏 This is a great video thank you so much ladies! My suggestions for next time and anyone else who does this project (including my future self lol) is to wear work gloves when handling the broken mirror shards. GLOVES! 🤣
    And also, always read the instructions for every product you use on a project. Doing this will often save you from simple mistakes like leaving on the grout overnight, and is also a great way to learn new techniques for future DIY projects.
