Rarity's story was hands down, the best for me. Loved the lesson and the new variety of unicorns. Also thought it was interesting how Mist Mane had flowing hair, shows how powerful she is.
The worst part about the Flyders isn't that they are "spiders" with wings, but that they appear to have a behavior of locust. All-consuming swarms of spiders... I got no arachnophobia, but that makes even me shudder.
This was a pretty fun episode; I love the lore that they brought with this episode it was a lot of fun. Also nice continuity there with the last time they went camping, that's always fun to see. Rarity's story was probably my favorite, which is weird since Rainbow is my favorite character; but Rarity's story just resonated with me in a certain way. But Rainbow's story was definitely my second favorite story. Applejack's story was fun as well, but I just personally preferred Rarity and Rainbow's story myself. But all three were good. Also the moments with Rainbow and Scootaloo were just adorable, loved them! Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD
I truly enjoyed how this episode explores the legends and expands on the background culture of the ponies! Mistmane in particular is my favorite. Her Asian (Chinese and Japanese influences fusion, but especially strong for ancient Chinese) background, horn design that's probably inspired by the Chinese unicorn 'qilin', and the moral behind her story with her sacrifice and ability to see inner beauty within things..... It's no wonder it's rarity's favorite legend, she takes after mistmane in her beauty and generosity! It also explains rarity's outlook of beauty as a means to spread happiness to others and I think it's a beautiful thing:)
Another detail not many realize is that most of these legendary ponies were first mentioned by Sunburst in the season 6 premiere. There was "Rockhoof's Rapport", "Mistmane's Material Amity", and the different-but-too-similar-to-ignore "Flash Prance's Fellowship". There's one more name-dropped in that episode, and two others from different episodes, but I shan't spoil them here.
Mistmane kinda reminds me of the Pokémon Xerneas in a way. She gives her life energy and spreads it everywhere she goes. And yes, her story is my favorite of the three.
lovely episode, nice reaction... the thing that bothers me the most of this episode is how it pretty much confirms that only one year has passed since S03E06 to this episode... and it would't be a big deal if forever filly and fame and misfortune didn't make it feel like such a long time has passed.

If that dragon battle lasted any longer, it would have been a repeat of the Kakashi and Zabuza water dragon duel.
