- Alright this recipe has pretty much gone viral recently - the pizzadilla. At first I tried to ignore it, but then I was getting tagged in the video over and over. I thought it would be horrible, I thought wrong. It is very naughty though!

Barry Lewis ily❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
This recipe is Crazy barry - thanks for putting the work in to make this for us to watch! 👍🏻 Big fan!
@Barry, the lip on the springform plate goes *down*. That way you can easily slide the cake (or whatever) off.
Epic meal time did a pizzadilla a few years ago on their instructional show handle it. Different than this one but equally as delicious
I've been a fan of Barshens for some years now but I just subbed to MVK this week after binging a lot of your videos. Can't believe it took me so long.
You should make tiramisu ravioli! Oh my goodness, my mouth is watering just thinking about that! Served with a coffee caramel sauce....I need to go to the store now.
Yes PLEASE @BARRY?! This sounds mind boggling good!
Yes Barry we need this!
OMG that is an awesome suggestion - YES PLS
Yes Barryyyy 🤤
This one
Do a one colour food challenge!
You must spin a wheel of colours (for example) and make a dish with only ingredients of that colour!
great idea
I think the creator of that recipe was a cardiologist looking for more patients lol. Looks delicious!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Agreed!
Nah I have to agree with Barry in the video... Stoner food.
@@SilvaDreams Too much work to make. A stoner would never do it lol
I think it was someone trying to get the most out of the leftovers lol
Kapsalon, it's a dish from Rotterdam, the Netherlands and consists of french fries covered by shawarma / döner kebab meat with slices of Gouda cheese on top. This is then shortly grilled to melt the cheese and covered an iceberg lettuce+tomato pieces+sliced onion+carrot strips salad and topped off with garlic and sambal sauce. Typical serving is about 1800 kcal.
Donner meat in the uk Is a very suspect food.. The type of thing you can only stomach eating when your so drunk you can barely lift it to your mouth
My local takeaway did something they called a meltdown, doner meat & fries, and covered in melted cheese. I asked them to make me one without the fries. Doner covered in molten cheese, is, in a word, awesome!
Yes! Served in an aluminum tray, of course.
The döner place close to where my parents life (Germany) not only has the most delicious garlicy döner sauce, they make döner pizza with it.
When we order that as a family we also get french fries with extra garlic sauce to put on top of the fries and pizza and a salad at the side, that sounds a lot like the salat they use for Kapsalon. Seeing as that is one of the most delicious things even when you're not drunk I think I'd love Kapsalon. It doesn't hurt that I also love gouda.
Man, I wish I had known about that when I went to Rotterdam last year! That being said, I had the most delicious burger I ever ate in Rotterdam - it was portabello mushroom and goat cheese with white sauce and a ciabatta like bun. I have asked Barry in multiple comments to try and do a burger like that. I think I might need to get a twitter account after all xD
mmmmm kapsalon. the most disgusting food in the world, .... but... also kindof the best
Hmm how about a Pizza Lasagna? Maybe with these Tortilla Wraps as Lasagna Sheets? Basically wrap, sauce, topping, cheese, wrap, sauce, topping... until your springform tin is full to the top.
I have made pizza lasagna using the noodle. This sounds like a better idea.
(The noodles dull the flavors too much)
I think I'm gonna try this.
I've done a taco lasagna that way! Tortilla, shredded cheese, taco meat, ricotta mixture, repeat until full, one last tortilla and layer of cheese, and bake! It was delicious!
Fried breaded lasagna but the top of it is garlic bread 🤔
But how high are you? 😂
Now please!
@Lily Mousley now that sounds dangerously tasty!
Does Poundland sell food? Maybe a Pounland ingredient meal if they do?
Idea for Stuart and I
Barry Lewis ahhhhhhhhhh Hi! 😂💗
This with Stuart would he my favourite play lists from each channel would live to see it.
Make french toast.
Make 2 waffles.
Make that into a sandwich with the waffles on the outside.
Dip that in pancake batter and cook it like a pancake.
Infuse syrup if you want.
Call it: carbfast.
Pancakes and waffles are made from the same batter
@@Lunarangst yes. But it comes out oh so different.
I used simple steps. Sue me.
You could stick them together before you battered with pancake batter... maybe with a flavored cream cheese… so it would be like a stuffed-waffle-French toast- pancake
That is just begging for a Steak version. Reminds me of the meat hand pies from the 17th and 18th centuries. Steak, mushroom, onions. Could also be made into a shepherds pie / cottage pie.
When I saw this comment at first I read the word “steak” as “shrek” and I was very confused
You look like the guy from My Virgin Kitchen, you two should make a collab, I think he is British too.
You ARE joking, right?
Oof
@@tncorgi92 It's a name change joke. 🤔
😂
Please tell me you are joking.
Am I the only one who misses it when Barry whispers I love paprika?
Meeee
I love it when he did that he should start doing it again x
Make a battered mars bar...Infact would love to see you test the best chocolate bars or unusual foods to batter!
Seconding the search for the best deep-fried chocolate bar!
JJ's Life YUP. THIS!!
Make a fried burger like montecristo or something similar :)
In the netherlands we have "boerenkool" it is a mash of potato and kale (you boil it together) after you mashed it with a bit of milk, you put the grease of bacon pieces in it mash it and fold in the bacon pieces, serve it with sausage and gravy (and a bit of mustard if you like) it is an dutch staple in the winter😁
Fried Ice Cream in the middle of a cake or brownie.
Iv made a triffle inside a cake before. Made a tall cake n just take out an inner circle leaving a layer of cake on the bottom n sides.
Then do a layer of strawberry jam instead of jelly.
Next layer creme pat fir the custard layer n then top with cream 👍🏻
Macaroni and Cheese pie! And it's a proper pie, not just pastry slapped on top of the filling and then baked
Looks amazing, but I feel like thinner layers of multiple might be cool, and without frying!
I saw Tastemade UK put on a Mac and Cheese PIZZA, you should totally try!
6 tortillas in a pack. Making three thinner ones makes sense to me.
Barry you definitely didnt compress that enough.. but you still somehow managed
That's what I was thinking. But, he still made it work! I don't think it would have if he hadn't decided to freeze them.
Yeh and I think he onions and rashers needed to be chopped smaller too!
I'm guessing the recipe was meant for the massive tortillas we have in the states that are like what.... 10 or 12 inches in diameter? That would have resulted in less than half the thickness which would seem... more correct.
@@reeepingk yeah we got some yuge tortillas
I like to make Belgian waffle pizza. I make the waffle batter with garlic, and basil instead of sugar and vanilla. I then cook the waffle about 95% done then top with sauce cheese and whatever toppings I want (I chop/mince the toppings to small cubes to fill the squares) then pop it in the oven/toaster oven to melt the cheese. The squares on the waffle are perfect for holding all that saucy goodness and the waffle crust is crispy and perfect. Give it a try I am sure your kids will love it.
well, there are a few things I have done that I love and One I would,d like to see tried. sloppy joe wontons are amazing, you do need to make the sloppy joe mix really thick, before putting it in the wonton and deep-frying it, but one I have wanted to try is a chili that is frozen, then battered in a corndog batter and then deep-fried.
Building this Godzilla of a recipe makes me wonder if you've ever made (or herd of) a Turducken? 🦃🦆🐔
Love it...by the power of Grayskull...💀
I dont know if you will get this refrence but all i can think of when someone mentions Turducken is Dean being stoned.
@@CallieMasters5000 I've never seen it sold at Walmart, but it is sold in bigger stores and some restaurants. It's not cheap, your stuffing a duck and a chicken inside a Turkey.
Heidi Baltom supernatural 7x09 😂🙌🏾
Heidi Baltom it’s kinda sad that I know that off the top of my head 😂
I know a butcher that does a smoked ham inside a de boned but kept whole chicken. It's quite good & cheaper than a turduken but still impressive.
There is a shrimp dish that I have had in only one place and I could never find it again, not even a recipe for it online. What you do is you deep fry some prawns in a batter.. but then you dip them in a clear sugar syrup so that they harden like candy apples.. but they are also very spicy like chiles.. I've eaten pineapple bits made like that too.
So, what you've essentially done is the 21st century version of a Findus Crispy Pancake?
"Corn on the cob but instead of the corn bone it's a hot dog"
(Jenna marbles reference anyone? 😂)
That's called a corndog...
Yes
Can I get a boneless corn wit a 2 ltr coke
Rose Gotowala or he can do a “chicken” wing but instead of the bone it’s cauliflower
Emmymadeinjapan already did it ;)
I made a Pizza Burger a few years ago, basically two 12inch pizzas that act like a bun, then a full 1kg of mince for the patty, then with the usual burger toppings/fillings. (BACON TOO!)
was AMAZING.
You should have use your claw shredding gadget on the chicken.
My Combination dish is a Katsu Bleu. A katsudon combined with A Cordon bleu. And a Putney (green pesto& green chutney) drizzeld on top. With the fried Rice from my pakistani grandmother.
Pizzachos (pronounced pete-SAH-choes) :
9 inch pie pan, single layer of tortilla chips, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, favorite pizza toppings, more mozarella cheese, olive oil spray, light dusting of garlic powder. 425 farenheit (218 celsius for you limeys out there) oven for 20 minutes. cool for 5 to 7 minutes. Enjoy.
A flapjack mixed with a cake is something that could work, perhaps a syrup pudding of some kind as the cake then mixed with a treacle-esque flapjack using dark brown sugar and golden syrup. Basically just lots of golden syrup
I made Dorilocos once. It's a pretty simple snack but the ingredients list is a bit frankenstein-esque.
It's essentially Nacho flavour Doritos topped with pickled pork rinds (I used pork scratchings); batons of jicama (substituted water chestnut), cubed cucumber, grated carrots, soy sauce coated peanuts, lime juice, chilli powder, hot sauce, chamoy (make with Apricot jam, chillies, lime juice and sugar) and of course gummy bears.
Shove it back in the empty Doritos bag and enjoy with your fingers.
For crazy ideas, something I made a while ago was macaroni & cheese arancini. Arancini are usually deep-fried breadcrumbed balls of risotto, often with a meat or pesto filling in the centre. So I pretty much did that but with a very thick home-made macaroni & cheese instead of risotto.
Reminds me of the "Pizza-Cake" which was a drunk creation whilst on holiday in Spain, multiple pizza's stacked on top of each other with additional filling/topping added, then left to go cold and eaten as a hand over cure the next morning
there is loads of food channels i follow but barry's channel is easily my favourite, love the vibe you give out so chill so fun, such an great easy watch
Thank you for your really positive energy Barry, I only started watching your videos a few weeks ago and I'm hooked, I'm off to Uni in a few weeks and it's your simple commentary on your videos and your willingness to buy pre-made ingredients (the tortillas, the ranch dressing) makes it a brilliant way to learn to cook easy recipes for Uni, just wanted to say thank you for cheering us up, have a lovely day and don't stop doing what you're doing. ☺
Im not sure you quite understand the concept of stoner food... waiting this long, this much focus... nope. I think your Barshens fish fingers with custard... now *that* is stoner food. Back in my student days, i may have lived on McDonalds Carmel with... everything... for an embarrassingly long time. Pasta, rice, noodles, cereal, aanything.... when thats what you've got, calories are food.
Anyways, love ya Barshens stuff, could be in for a treat here...
Oh trust me as an ex-stoner... This is hardly "too long".
I have cooked for 4 hours straight just making tons of food while stoned, my friend's mother woke up the next morning to a fridge full of food.
She got to take food to work every day for the next week without ever eating the same thing.
@@SilvaDreams not really the same thing. Cooking many many things over hours, for sure. Defending 10 step process from Munchies? Not a chance. Youd be lucky if the breasts survived the noms, shredded with tortillas n ranch dressing... no self respecting stoner could resist that ;-).
But yeh, ive had friends embark on impromptu dinner parties, making *all* the things. There are worse tics to have.
Thanks for sharing.
Hahaha I commented something similar. Pizza quesadilla sounds like stoner food. But all that work? I'd just eat the chicken quesadilla honestly.
That actually looks pretty good.
The only thing I can think of is the Roast beef dinner pizza I made years ago.
Pizza dough, brown gravy for the sauce, (horseradish optional if you like it), onions, slices of cooked potatoes, shredded well-done roast beef, more gravy on top of beef and smothered in a mixture of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses. I remember it being sooooooo good!
The sound of Barry mixing wet ingredients in fast forward is the most satisfying sound everrrrr
I've had this idea knocking around my head for a while. For a indian inspired pizza. A onion bhaji based pizza with a tandoori chicken topping. Sauced with a sweet potato and tomato puree with flavoured with honey and garlic. Topped with smokey cheese and served with a mint raita. Optional other toppings could be diced seekh kebab. bombay potatoes and roasted spiced bell peppers. I have done somthing simlar in the past. But it had a Naan bread base and bhaji's as a topping.
I frequently buy pulled Mexican chicken from the supermarket, to put it in a tortilla with rice and cheese, microwave for 60 seconds, add guac, sour cream and salsa. And you’ve got a very nice quick burrito, obviously slather in hot sauce to get it perfect!
Roast beef dinner in a Yorkshire pudding burrito 🌯
You should try spicy Korean Mac and Cheese
and than deep fry it!
I think that would be nice. Now I want deep fried kimchi...
Barry you should make a pizza with mini pizza bagels on top and then pizza rolls on top of the bagels but from scratch instead of frozen.
Or at least mostly from scratch.
Pizzaception
I've made pizza burgers before, you need to make a frying pan sized burger out of ground beef and onions though. Not just wuss out with store bought burgers! And the buns should just be whatever your favourite pizzas are, i tend to use meat feasts. Then you chuck in whatever you have on your burgers, personally i go for mayonnaise and tomatoes under the burger and ketchup and lettuce on top.
This is actually a real dish - fried rice served in a watermelon. When I make mine I mix in ceviche with the fried rice so it's a spicy/sweet combo instead of just a savory/sweet combo.
In UNI we made the Metzza when we were making meatballs and it went wrong, basically, go to make meatballs but flatten it and use that as your pizza base, then top with pizza toppings. it looked very very grim but tasted so good
In the U.S. we have burrito size tortillas and soft taco size tortillas. You were most likely supposed to use burrito size tortillas(because they’re way bigger)
Take my strong hand had me floored. Brilliant video, Barry
A fusion dish I've actually done myself a couple of times is Pizza (steamed) dumplings (in the style of steamed wheat dumplings). It is actually really awesome.
First vid I watched of yours was the corn dog tutorial, been watching since. That giant teacake was amazing aswell love you man 🤙
When will we see your "Secret Video" on the chopping gadget tests you mentioned in Ask Berry #3??
I hate frying too; I have found that if I put the oil level like more than to sautee, but less than to deep fry, it's perfect for me. I have to flip whatever I'm frying over, but I don't have to deal with a lot of oil.
Make a mac n cheese pizza (store-bought or homemade dough). Make it layered like this: dough, pizza sauce, Velveeta Shells and Cheese (the whole thing made to directions), mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni. Bake according to homemade pizza directions or directions on store-bought dough. Enjoy!
A good hack for shredding chicken for people who have trouble is using a hand mixer. It makes a pretty fine shred but it’s super easy!
I make a kielbasa mess. Jasmine rice with onion, red, yellow and orange peppers. Kielbasa cooked with jalapeno peppers and maple syrup. Mix all together and enjoy. Sometimes I add parmesan cheese.
If you have a stand or hand mixer, just throw it in a high sided bowl (i use my kitchen-aid stand mixer with whisk attachment-but hand mixer works also) it shreds the chicken In seconds and the shred is AMAZING-it allows the chicken to kind of soak up the sauce when I shred it this way-so much easier and tastier than fork shredding!
And that’s not pizza sauce, that tomato paste - pizza sauce is SO much different -completely different flavor and texture
you can shred tender chicken like that, using a hand mixer. the beaters do a great job!
The own brand tortillas in the bakery section are usually bigger than those old elpaso ones. But yes, proper flour tortillas can be huge
My mom and I made BBQ lunch cupcakes. We made cornbread muffins filled with BBQ pulled pork and we piped whipped mashed potato on top as frosting. They were really good.
I saw this on facebook the other day, pretty ridiculous. But it was enjoyable to see you on your adventure in making it.
I don't know about you but i hate shredding by hand. If you do too you can put your cooked chicken in a stand mixer and shred it that way. Use the Flat Beater attachment. Works really well.
This should be a new series :D "I did a thing... kitchen edition." :)
Jalapeno pineapple mango pizza with goat cheese. Blend up the pineapple and mango bits, dice the jalapeno into fine bits. Refrigerate for an hour at least. Use that as sauce base on pizza crust. Find soft goat cheese, with herb tastes best, and put big globs around. Bake until golden brown crust.
"It just seems so unnecessary" - isn't that pretty much everything Bazza does?
"50 shades of pizza quesadilla" absolutely killed me.
Make Italian scotch eggs! Its literally just scotch eggs but there is a layer of marinara sauce between the meat and the bread.
I make this on a regular basis. Beer can Turkey. You have to use a fosters beer can. We love beer can chicken, but I have a large family.
I made all-in-one hot dogs. I rolled out my dough and put a jumbo hot dog sausage on then sprinkled on cheese , pre- fried onions then ketchup , rolled it up and tucked in ends and let it rise for about half hr before baking in hot oven .delicious .
You can also top a toasted tortilla with an italian goulash and cheese. Its got an italian topping but since its served on an open tortilla we call it a "Mexican pizza" lol! Filling and fast lol
An easy way to shred chicken or pork is with your cake mixer. I was skeptical but it works!!! Don’t do it on high though!
Would you consider making cabbage rolls. I can’t seem to get a good flavor on the sauce. Thanks.
Are you cooking the sause down some? It needs to be kinda thickened up. It needs a little more seasoning too.
I use sause from a jar and add onion and garlic powder.
Now you got that kebab rotisserie you should do a doner kebab version of this, maybe not as thick though, keep it thinner and easier to handle. Lamb doner, sliced onions, lettuce etc and either chilli or garlic sauce (or both if you're like me) then the breadcrumb/deep fry/pizza topping steps
Split open a pre-cooked Polish sausage, stuff it with white cheddar cheese and jalapeno peppers, wrap it in bacon, encase it in meatloaf, (about 3cm of meatloaf on all sides), baste it with barbeque sauce, and bake it at medium heat until a meat thermometer shows it's done. Then coat it in corndog batter and fry it. You might need a bigger fry pan and two sets of tongs, one for each hand. Serve with mustard or any sauce or condiment you like.
Disclaimer: I just made that up. I don't even want to eat it, but if you want to make it I will certainly watch.
I would have only filled this, like, half as much as he did. But he made it work. Good on you. Barry!
Barry, you didn't even chop the bacon rashers!
Hello I love your videos and I wait for them every week I also love videos with Mrs b and the kids Xx❤️😊
Pretty sure that the original recipe video was posted as a joke or parody of all these 30 second recipe vids that merge different cultures and styles of cooking. However, thanks for making this. Just so that the rest of us don’t have to.
Don't know if this would work but what about cutting a hole in a thick piece of pork and filling it with apple and cinnamon then cook it then wait till it cools then put the pork inside a bread dough and cooking it.
Buffalo chicken pizza for me... I actualy finely dice Jalapenos, and banana peppers together mixed with a small amount of buffalo sauce. Layer that directly on the dough, drizzle some ranch over it, 1/2 the mild soft cheese I decided to use, then layer buffalo chicken on that, then the other half of the cheese, then another drizzle of ranch.. bake till crisp.
I've seen certain supermarkets near me selling brookies, which is a brownie topped with cookie. They are sooo good I'd love to be able to make some
I'd make the quesadilla smaller, omit the barbeque sauce, put the veggies on the top. It's deffo an occasional thing, between time involved and all the frying, but still, looks good.
I grew up with something my mom called a pizzadia, but it was not that. She just mixed all her "pizza toppings" (cheese, pepperoni, olives [yes]) into a big bowl and stuck a scoop on a tortilla, which she then topped with another tortilla and would fry on the stove (not deep fried). Then she would cut them into quarters and we would dip in a marinara sauce (out of a can). Apparently we were calling the wrong thing a pizzadia...
i guess it is fairly common but hey no harm in reitterating good recepies:
banana (whole, pealed) coated in chocolate, topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with crushed nuts (something sweet like keshu).
The "take my strong hand" reference had me in stitches!!!
Haha me too😂, scary movie if I remember rightly. MY GERMS!!!!! 😂
@@tracyllewellyn5942 scary movie 2 I believe!
@@ThePippin89 yes that's right, after commenting you I just had to watch it again haha, " mind the way fanny coming through" 😂
This reminds me of my favorite pizza that I would make at work when I was a teen. BBQ chicken, onion, tinned mandarin oranges, peppers, and bacon. I never did BBQ sauce as a base though. Always just did olive oil so the bbq flavor wasnt too strong.
It’s not crazy but it’s blooming nice
Home made burger but it’s a mix of beef (Aberdeen Angus pref) pork and lamb mince
Add 4 mix cheese and garlic butter (lurpack)
Mix the 3 minces into balls to how big you want the burger
Make a dint in the middle add garlic butter and mix cheese then fold and mix together
Bang into burger press then cook
It’s not crazy but naan bread pizza is really nice, basically naan bread with pizza toppings, the naan gives a really soft base which I love, simple and tasty!
My thought process was "Pizzadilla, ah Barry will make an armadillo out of pizza, cool". Don't ask me why 😂😅
I could not find much in to eat one day and so I just put together some stuff I had, tortilla, pate, sliced Ham, daily cheese spread and BBQ bbq sauce, I get the Tortilla and spread a layer of Cheese spread on it all around, then a layer of Pate, then to ones side put some Ham down as many as you like then put a line of BBQ sauce on it and then roll it up like a burrito and put it in the oven for how ever long you want it, I normal do it until it see some stuff leaking out, and your done, strange I know but it was nice =)
Ok what about fried chicken and waffles battered and refried as one then assembled into a casserole and served with a honey maple reduction
When I was a stoner in my late teens I would always end up in the kitchen creating absolutely insane and incredibly delicious Franken stoner food. I'm actually surprised I never thought of this during those days. Mind you everyone of my friends stoners and non stoners loved my stoner nachos but sadly some of the ingredients I can't get anymore in Australia.
Chili dog casserole is amazing I have made it and you won't regret it.
have you ever tried pulling your chicken with an electric handmixer with the whisks on? works a treat, superfast
As much as I LOVE your videos, I couldn’t cope with the beginning 😂
Bean with an awesome looking moustache
You need to make pizza mountain pies. You have to use a Plamer Pie Iron though, CAST IRON. Sometimes called a pudgy pie. You can experiment with ingredients, ham and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, s'mores. Camp fire not needed, use your gas top.
A triple deckillionaire shortbread - I’m talking biscuit base, caramel, cookie, caramel, brownie then covered in chocolate 😍😍😍
Barry. Ya know how they say do what you fear most?! You gave me a great idea!! Im terrified of frying also! So how about videos on how to make frying less scary and possible for those with extream fears :-D I'd be so very grateful!!
When I was a student, my "treat" meal was a double bacon cheese burger, except I used chicago town microwave pizzas as a bun.
There’s this Dominican thing called yaniqueques ( it’s basically like a fried dough pancake) and I think you should try making it and then taking two of them making into a cheese quesadilla and then making it into a taco
