Thank you for doing this! I'm 70 yrs old, was a teen during the time of the Factory, never understanding Andy and his art. Thanks to you, I now do. Honestly as someone who adores great food, this helps me understand my boyfriend and his love for processed highly commercial food a bit more. Thank you!
I was just thinking I miss art cooking and here we are! I really like Warhol and his work now, but if I had been alive at the time and seen him charging $650 for a can of soup I’d probably hate his guts
Dont abuse your blender. Use the tamper, also setting "1" is great for chopping ice so you can just chill there for a minute. when you hear an obvious rhythm change, the cubes are chopped. Thanks for a walk down memory lane. I feel privileged to have observed Warhol's life and work, as it happened; through media... galleries...and museums. ❤️❤️❤️

He was obsessed with the minutiae of life. I bought & loved his book 'The Philosophy of Andy Warhol: From A to B and Back Again". I just noticed it has a glowing review from Truman Capote, another of my favourites. I particularly remember that Warhol describes a telephone conversation with someone who explained how they tackled certain household chores. Strangely fascinating. I believe he had a genuine interest in people. His art reflects that.
At 13:06 we really do get the absolute best description of modern art I've ever heard. Really is a great way to say it isn't about the art, but it's about why the art is.

Literally risking losing connection to my game instance to say: WATER?! Tomato soup needs to be made with milk! That’s how you keep it creamy! (Otherwise this is great.)
Ok, ok! I had heard of that method, but thought after the Corn Flakes and Frrozen Hot Chocolate we might have had enough dairy. Will try next time, though!
The best tomato soup is made with a whole bunch of vegetables cooked in milk instead of water of broth, and then blended. Never tried Campbells that way though.

The weird jittery lines he made using that technique you showed with the ink pen reminds me of the style of animation in the Cartoon Network show Ed, Edd, and Eddy. I was always intrigued by that style especially since the lines would jitter and change thickness in every frame of the animation. Wonder if they were inspired by him or used some similar technique.

Cornflakes are actually an early twentieth century health food. John Harvey Kellogg had a sanitarium in Battle Creek, Michigan where he focused on diet for health. Processed food did certainly take over after WWII, but breakfast cereal is much older than that.
Mushrooms are really yummy if you put a little bit of salt on and the rub it over for even distribution, I use my finger for that. My mom thought me that and it really makes the mushroom taste so much more. 😋
There's something about stacking products repeatedly that's so interesting to me, personally, I did when I was a kid with Coco Crunch boxes or with Tomica toy car boxes.
