(Ghost) Riders In The Sky - Cover by Lee Restarick & Steve Reynolds

- "(Ghost) Riders in the Sky: A Cowboy Legend" is a cowboy-styled country/western song written in 1948 by American songwriter, film and television actor Stan Jones.[1]
A number of versions were crossover hits on the pop charts in 1949, the most successful being by Vaughn Monroe. The ASCAP database lists the song as "Riders in the Sky" (title code 480028324[2]), but the title has been written as "Ghost Riders", "Ghost Riders in the Sky", and "A Cowboy Legend". Members of the Western Writers of America chose it as the greatest Western song of all time.[3]
I met up with the extremely talented Mr Lee Restarick over the weekend and we chatted about all things music and Shadows related and decided to do a video together. Lee created the backing track entirely and then i added my guitar part over separately and mixed it all together. Hope you enjoy our rendition

Great to see you and lee (Bass player of the Rapiers) in this duet. It must be sole destroying when a Band like the Rapiers cant perform live and indeed your band Steve due to this virus. I enjoyed this collaboration very much. Cheers Phil

Well, next best thing to a live gig! Digressing, and self-indulging, I think I would put this tune at number 4 on my guitar instrumentals playlist.

Hi Chubble yes it’s a couple of years old. No mods, only thing it needed was a clean up and restring and a slight adjustment of the truss rod and that’s it. I’m keeping it stock

Steve’s talent will live on through his music. He was always one of my favorites and he will be missed greatly by the guitar community, God rest his soul RIP young man.
