You should do a Christmas shop series looking at every supermarket (Aldi, Lidl, sainsburys, tesco, Asda) & what each one has Christmas food wise- sandwiches, snacks, meals, desserts, frozen, drinks etc.
Their vegan range really is top haul. I must admit, I’m a bit jealous of all the vegan options in the UK. We don’t have nearly as many options where I live.
I can hardly believe how cheap groceries are in England compared to here in Australia. Your Aldi stores are about 5 times bigger than ours. I really envy you for the huge range of plant-based foods you have to choose from.
I will see you this trip in comparison to Jamie’s budget trip to Aldie. I can see the differences but I can also understand where her grocery trip involved a lot more snacks. I have a little boy who is close in age to Astrid and our grocery trips also involve a decent variety of snacks. My son turns two in four days and some days I will make a well-balanced meal every single meal and put it in front of him and he ends up eating peanut butter, bread and apple slices and fruit snacks. Plus I’m not sure what the recommendations are in the UK but in the US toddlers are recommended to have three meals a day plus 2 snacks and their milk and water. We also pack snacks for my husband when he goes to work because he doesn’t always get enough time to take a proper lunch break but he’s able to pop a couple cookies in his mouth and keep going. It’s just a different viewpoint to throw out there as someone who is the primary grocery shopper in my household with a young toddler, rather than shopping for a family of three with an older child
Am in UK I've always want come american just so that can shop in aldi because you have alot different things that we don't have in aldi here would love to try aldi food
it depends a bit where u are in the US. There are comparison videos which show that sometimes the US is cheaper, sometimes the UK. It looked relatively balanced except for some products with a big price differences (usually UK was cheaper here, maybe due to US-import costs). Apart from that: keep in mind that on average your income is much higher in the US than in the UK (and even still noticeable higher than in London (which is way higher than the average of UK). In Germany you have on average an higher income than in the UK but pay less for living (also ALDI is in most cases significant cheaper than in both, the US and UK). Long story short: be jealous of Germany, not the UK ;)
@@publicminx I'm sure it's true. I live in Florida and refuse to shop at Publix because it's overpriced for no real reason. Recently stopped shopping a Trader Joe's because they're become too expensive as well -- and staffers are getting annoying. I'm fortunate that we have Aldi nearby (it's not a national store here in the US), so that's where I do 90% of my shopping now.
Great haul would love to see what you make with some of the things you have bought especially the mushroom burgers maybe you could do a cooking video ? Thank you for sharing your hauls take care xxx
Thank you Karen 💚 We made some delicious burgers and some mushroom mince for a bolognese 😋 There are some really amazing mushroom burger recipes on UA-cam if you're interested, most people put the mushrooms in the food processor with some seasonings and chickpeas to help everything bind together 😋 Take care too xXx

So glad that you enjoyed vlogmas last year, we really enjoyed it too! Not sure if we will post a video everyday but we will be doing lots of fun Christmas videos this year :) We're so excited for Christmas 🎄⛄🎄
Nothing much here in South Africa. We have Pick and pay which is very much like Tesco and Woolworth is a Marks and Spencer equivalent. Love watching your videos and miss my family in Twickenham.
We have just done one of our larder top up shops in Aldi. And freezer top up. I bought eight swedes as they were so cheap, 36p each! Tesco charges 90p each for swedes. Tinned goods by the tray full and pastas/rice. Prep veg to freeze, tinned goods and dried goods. I make my own stew packs and mixed veggies, so much cheaper as you are buying in bulk. I do bake a lot to save money too. I am careful as to where I buy my flour due to flour weevil. But you did a good shop, imo, best one Yet in a food shop!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏💗💗

I'm sure bluey is a girl. I'm sure they had been reading book to kids, and was shocked like us all. Anyway they are near the crumpets and pancakes they fry them in Scotland
Love your videos. I wish food was as cheap here in B.C Canada as it is there. But I enjoy how you do your weekly shops for cheap. And just so you know. You have me doing the BEANS thing now.😅

Hello from Saskatchewan Canada, we live right at the border and South Central Saskatchewan right in the middle of Canada hello for the first time I will see what your show is about
Love your shopping vlogs. I only shop in Aldi for odd ends but Iceland home delivery for full shopping. I have noticed a big price increase. I keep receipts for 1 month so I can check back. It's amazing the the items that go up n down x
I manly shop at herons frozen foods shop because cross road from my house but do get delivery from asda or sainsburys and tesco depends how got best prices that week
@catherinebarlow3079 ah we don't have heron shop. We have Tesco, Asda, morrisons, Iceland, Sainsbury, Aldi, Lidl Farmfoods all within 10 mins drive lol
I tend to prefer shopping at local markets, rather than big chains. I can see the appeal of something familiar and reliable, but when you go to a city and all the shops are the same, I personally find it takes away from the local colour of that area. So I opt for the independent businesses whenever I can. This haul really is something, though! Can’t believe you can get that much food for £30 at a typical supermarket. At most of the supermarkets where I live, prices are closer to Harrods. Even Whole Foods in London feels like a bargain!
Thanks for your comment. In. general we try to shop around a bit of everywhere, between local, independent stores to the big chains, combining the best bits of all of them! 👍
Hi freedom family did you no that aldi sell vegan wine supposed be really good l use it in my cooking just get ice cube tray put individually just pop one out when l need one for spaghetti bolognese etc hope you have good rest of week
Sorry, but Aldi shot down here in Denmark, last shop closed in november. I always shoped in Aldi so I'm 😢 you two did an amazing job! I think you have meals for more then a week and so so much fresh veggies and fruit - and a lot of the rest is shelf stables! 🥇🏋️👍
Can't wait to watch and also how was your guys halloween did jojo do trick or treating? Also you have such a lovely family Bob is my favourite and jojo is so caring and Katie is kind. ❤❤❤
To figure out discount really super fast and make everybody think you’re super smart if it’s 30% off , times it by seven as you were paying 70% so if it’s regular two dollars you times that by seven so you are paying $1.40 no calculator needed😮
I think Bob earned that sandwich with all that maths 😂! Although I feel like Katie could probably make a better crimbo sandwich with all her creativity! We have Aldi in Ireland but I feel like it’s definitely not as good value here I mean we don’t get any wonky veg always feel like we’re missing out on the wonky veg 😂!
Very true Shauna 😅 And yes I could make an awesome Christmas sandwich 🥪 !!! They need to start doing wonky veg in your Aldi, it's very good value and it must save a lot of food waste. Sending big hugs the family 🤗
Coming to you #livebutnotlive from Australia (Illawarra NSW). I love Aldi and do most of my shop there. Loving the content of your channel. Keep up the good work. ❤
Hi Annette 👋 The best thing to add to the food processor along with the mushrooms is chickpeas and flour and whatever herbs and spices you want, it will bind together nicely 😊
Aldi is a great store, very nice choices and deals especially the markdown items. You guys did great and got a lot for the amount. Hope Jojo had a great Halloween and got some nice candy. 🍫🎃🦇👻
loved the shopping lots of healthy stuff like oats etc maybe do a follow up what meals we eat from are 30 pounds shop... love Joyce and Andrew ps oat ideas etc would be soooooo loved trying to eat dr greger but with the holidays coming scared it is going to be hard/not nice pps can we get a shout out 🥰
You know when I go shopping now I always look at prices and things and If I see a bargain I turn round to my partner and always say “you can’t leave it there for that” 😂😂😂😂
I usually shop online from tesco as its easier with a baby but you've made me want to go and check Aldi out. I might just go and get a few goodies. Also BTW, Bluey is a girl. ❤

You really can’t beat Aldi for your weekly shop. It’s our favourite supermarket. And I love that they have a really great vegan range.
Their vegan range really is top haul. I must admit, I’m a bit jealous of all the vegan options in the UK. We don’t have nearly as many options where I live.
But Lidl and Penny is way better when it comes to vegan stuff. But okay, Aldi can keep up meanwhile.

Really good, the only thing we would have needed as extra is cucumber and garlic bread and maybe some more tomatoes.

I put a piece of kitchen towel in the salad bag. xx
That's a great idea, I usually do it with fresh herbs but didn't think of doing it with the salad bags, thank you 🤗👌

You have an a amazing home....loved this video
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the video 🤗
Sorry, but Aldi shot down here in Denmark, last shop closed in november. I always shoped in Aldi so I'm 😢 you two did an amazing job! I think you have meals for more then a week and so so much fresh veggies and fruit - and a lot of the rest is shelf stables! 🥇🏋️👍
Hey Shanna, that's sad to hear about Aldi over there! We hope it comes back or another equally good store 🙁🇩🇰
You guys should do a food challenge where you only eat food that starts with the first letter of your name :)
Can't wait to watch and also how was your guys halloween did jojo do trick or treating? Also you have such a lovely family Bob is my favourite and jojo is so caring and Katie is kind. ❤❤❤
Aw thanks for your kind words Chloe, we really appreciate it 🤗
Yes JoJo went trick or treating yesterday with friends and got over 100 sweets!! 🍬🎃🍬😮
:( trick or treating aren’t popular in my street
Wow bet he had a nice time 🤗
To figure out discount really super fast and make everybody think you’re super smart if it’s 30% off , times it by seven as you were paying 70% so if it’s regular two dollars you times that by seven so you are paying $1.40 no calculator needed😮
Great tip, thanks! We're have to remember that for next time! 👍
Just wandering raving raven and scary cat are? I hope they are good
Yes they are good, they live in the cupboard in our bedroom 🤗
Yes there is aldi in USA its been along time since i have been with my parents So i dont really remember it.
It would be good to try some christmassy sandwiches, that would be good.
Oh yes! 😋
Can you do a only eating Christmas food for 24 hours? I love your videos❤
Yes we can definitely do that 🍪🍫🍧🍡🍰
@@FamilyFreedom thank you.. I always look forward to your videos ❤️
Sending big hugs the family 🤗
hi guys

That's a great idea 🤗
So I’ve been watching for awhile because I’m from the US
Yay 🇺🇲💙
Coming to you #livebutnotlive from Australia (Illawarra NSW). I love Aldi and do most of my shop there. Loving the content of your channel. Keep up the good work. ❤
Awesome! Thank you! We're becoming quite big fans of Aldi too 👌😊
Katie, with the mushroom burgers, do you add anything to bind it all together? How does the mixture stay together when cooking? Love these videos xx
Hi Annette 👋 The best thing to add to the food processor along with the mushrooms is chickpeas and flour and whatever herbs and spices you want, it will bind together nicely 😊
I want to try making these burgers too and you’ve inspired me to go shopping at Aldi here on the Gold Coast in Australia.🍔😀
Aldi is a great store, very nice choices and deals especially the markdown items. You guys did great and got a lot for the amount. Hope Jojo had a great Halloween and got some nice candy. 🍫🎃🦇👻
Thanks so much Karen 💚🤗💚

We don't have Aldi in Canada
Can yous do a 50 pound budget but with buying extra foods as emergency foods that's yous keep up
You know when I go shopping now I always look at prices and things and If I see a bargain I turn round to my partner and always say “you can’t leave it there for that” 😂😂😂😂
That's awesome 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I usually shop online from tesco as its easier with a baby but you've made me want to go and check Aldi out. I might just go and get a few goodies. Also BTW, Bluey is a girl. ❤
Aldi is definitely worth checking out! 👍
@@FamilyFreedom I went today as it happens 😊
Bluey and Bingo are girls!
