We visited the grocery store Heron Foods to do some food shopping and got a super cheap food haul. This video is great for anyone trying to figure out the cost of living or anyone on an extreme budget or anyone thinking about ways to save money.

I always go to heron foods first. The deals on the ice creams and the drinks rotate really well.

You would laugh because cooplands have shop crosse road from me and next-door is herons frozen food shop that sell cooplands frozen sausage rolls and everything else they sell frozen

Hi .we allways do a shop at heron's its so good bargains lots on offer even shampoo and conditioner bar soap's bathroom variety .toiletries
Washing up liquid washing machine powders ots of good item's in a very good price range . Lots of variety of different things household items for kitchen and bathroom

I often use heron but I get what I can from heron and the rest from a supermarket allso if you see anything in heron you have to get it as it might not be there when you return

Our local heron is near the seafront, so often would go to heron for the 3 for £1 ice creams like magnums before going to the seafront.

I always end up spending lots when I go herons as u have to get it when u c it .yes my mum always buys loads when she comes up north to c us or I have to take stuff when I go Essex as they don't have them in the south.
Love Heron it is literally on my doorstep so only got 5 mins to walk for some fab bargains . I did not suggest it to you as i thought it was a Northern England thing as have friends and family in West Sussex and also Cornwall and they had never heard of it , hopefully they add more stores around the UK . The stores i have seen haven't been that big compared to like Iceland/Farmfoods but still have plenty of bargains and they also do saving stamps which is fantastic for filling your freezer come Christmas . Anyhow another great vlog guys enjoy your travels and stay safe x
Am in home town of herons headoffice we have 30 stores across hull and have store cross road from my house
It's funny how shopping for food can be so exciting. I love to look around especially during the holidays, so many choices. This store looked like the shelves were fully stocked and very nice. Great deals guys. Especially that icecream 😋yum!

I'm glad you found some great deals at Heron foods. Especially on the Magnums. I enjoy the grocery shopping videos since I am not in the UK atm and miss shopping in UK supermarkets. There is a cash and carry shop called Best Buy in Leicester, UK I would love to see you three doing a shopping experience from there some day. Its a bulk buy shop for majority of their items.

Got 3 packs of silken tofu for £1 absolute steal. Love raw chocolate m:lk bars 4 for a £1. Love Herons but is small and they sell certain items for a limited time so make the most of it!

I have had some amazingly cheap Quorn items from Heron, for example the Quorn ham slices which are around £2.50 in Asda were only 69p in Heron. The only problem is that as it is surplus stock, they can't guarantee they will always have them in. I also got 2 packs of the Quorn picnic eggs for £1, which again are around £2.50 each in Asda. My understanding is that the clear packaging XL frozen foods are branded items, repackaged. They had some amazing bean burgers in the one near me recently but they haven't had them in stock the last 2 times I went in. The clear packaging items can also be from restaurants too. Like the big McD (ugh). lol. Loving your videos. You're such a nice and refreshing family. Keep doing what you're doing :) x

Alot of exsell range is m and s lots bigger expensive food shops like waitrose or over posh shops just depends wot they get offered l no that markro sell some of there stock to herons sometimes because my brother was person herons spoke to buy wot stock they had that they didn't need anymore doesn't work there now but still in same business but bigger company now

I live near a small Heron supermarket in Leicester. I'm always in there getting bargains. I've bought about 7 packs of those vegan Magnums in the last 2 weeks. It's a great shop. Plus, our local Heron has the happiest man in the world working there, he's an inspiration.

You should tell herons headoffice about there colleague that works in your local store on there Facebook page there brilliant company to work for and they have youtube channel here on UA-cam that you can find out about herons food store l live in Hull were herons headoffice is and first store opened here in 1970s

Hi guys, There is a supermarket in the UK called 'The company shop'. It's a membership-only supermarket (free to join for people on benefits or work for the NHS), and they sell branded short-date items at a fraction of the price to stop food waste, A lot of M&S food goes there. The last time I went, I got ice cream tubs for FREE because they were close to expiry.

You definitely need to get a fridge or Esky that you add ice to keep things cold. I would suggest going to a camping / 4wd store to have a look at a car fridge

Well actually b and m bargains have brought 50 of stores and staff so you never no might change them to herons stores or b and m bargains stores just got to wait and see wot they are going to do with the stores and staff
You need to get jojo a ridegemonkey large pan. You are able to cook chips in your van , amongst other things
Heron Foods maybe the cheapest supermarket in the UK but not the most accessible because there is none in London and Scotland. B&M (the parent company of Heron Foods needs to open more Heron stores in other parts of the UK). Another excellent video Family Freedom and love 🥰 the video and love 💞Family Freedom and I am live not live from Scotland.

@@Jlou2376herons was brought out for 14 million pounds but still run by original owners that run company for b and m bargains my home city of Kingston upon Hull in East Yorkshire were there headoffice is and there first shop opened here in hull in 1972 yes over years had lots of bargains from them that kept my family going and there families going still now

You need to invest in a chill box that comes with adapters for the car. Well worth it.on any road trip or self catering break.research food storage maybe there’s something to learn about certain foods,some products are ok I believe

There are no Heron foods in London, but we have decided to always look for one on our travels and hope that they open one close to us soon 🤗💚

In general the price is around £5/$10 but there are some stores like Heron Foods or Poundland where you can find a rare, cheap pot 👍

I was trying to guess how much your total spend was. I reckoned about £30 but was surprised it was even lower than that. We have Heron Foods in our town and I shop there quite often. Also in Home Bargains. You need to shop around to get the best deals, as you say.

We did consider doing this on the way home but we were heading to a festival after and there were no other stores on the way home 😃
Why dont you have cooler in the van that plugs into the mains of the van? I know it would turn off when you stopped but it would give you more options for food xx

Good question Milly, we were actually in Bristol for the vegan kids festival so we thought we would hop across the river to Wales to visit the Vegan Steak house, and it just so happened that there was a Heron foods nearby in Newport 👌😄💚

I love Oatly products as i am lactose and soy intolerance. I also been swapping my butter to a vegan butter called Nuttelex it is such a relief not having to worry about my belly. Have you guys ever through of investing in a like portable freezer/fridge for your van,

I remember you saying you've never heard of Heron Foods, I mean it was part of Farmfoods some years ago, well at least in Oldham it was. Love Heron Foods too and ice cream prices are amazing. You should have gone back for the ice cream the next day if you were still there. Would love to see more shopping video's

@@FamilyFreedom it's been several month's but a week ago it got out of hand where I was not only verbally abused but also physically abused whilst holding my son. The lady who attacked us, is now in hiding and nowhere to be found. Hope we get justice ⚖ soon

Yes I have noticed that the very cheap cheap offers have a very short date. Got a Herons near me.
Heron for me is a pop in and see what vegan goodies are great value. Their stock changes depending what needs to be sold off. I've got beyond meatballs for 69p, VFC 1kg for £2, what the cluck 3 for £1, I got a few boxes of the vegan magnums. But it can be very hit and miss, something to bear in mind if you travel to one. For me it's not somewhere to do a weekly shop but I'd love to see you try!
