Thank you for everything.
My dad had ptsd his whole life because of artillery fire during WW2. He lived until he was 89 still crying over the death and devastation he saw. War sucks RIP dad. I know you're at peace now
my grandad killed himself before i was born. he fought in ww2 and had PTSD.
@@bigt6665 I'm so sorry to hear that. I think if it wasn't for my mom, who took care of him emotionally and would comfort him during the worst episodes he may have met the same fate
My grandad mirtaculously survived a mass bombing, during WWII, while he was prisoner in Germany, working in a military factory with other Russian prisoners. From what I understood from his war letters, he was one of the few survivors of the bombing. We discovered his war letters only many years after he died, through an old military report. He never told his stories...We didn't really know what he went through during those years. If my grandad didn't survive that day, I wouldn't be here...
My Grandfather fought on Okinawa, he was in the 96th Division. He never talked about it. I asked him once about the war, only thing he said was it was literal hell.
That’s terrible, I hope he found peace in the end. This crap needs to end, no one wants to kill each other it’s the so called “ leaders” that bring us to this. I imagine wars would end pretty quickly if the leaders had to be on the front line first.
I'm a combat vet and can't imagine the selfless bravery these guys exhibit. I watch this and find myself lowering my head to make a smaller silhouette.

Тот факт что украина проигрывает даже с наемниками меня очень радует как и тот факт что они умирают или получаю ранение так же быстро как и украинци,только наёмники трусливые солдат украины
There are alot of brainwashed losers who don't realize the Ukrainians are really the bad guys 🤦♂️
These guys are brave for sure, but they aren’t going to break through the Russian defensive belts. The Russians are holding important territory in Ukraine and then letting the Ukrainian soldiers destroy themselves trying to attack. The Russians are maintaining a “security zone” that’s miles from the first strong belt of defenses. They have no soldiers in the security zones. They use hundreds of drones to observe the battlefield 24 hours a day and when they see something worth hitting they blow it up with artillery, rockets and missiles from miles away. Not to mention the fact that Ukraine has no air power at all. The news is lying to everyone. The Ukrainians are being massacred and burning through a whole generation of men. If Ukraine is going to survive as a country they need peace now.
Just look up a few videos from colonel Douglas Macgregor and You’ll see exactly what I mean.
@@armwrestlingsecrets You misunderstand the power of the Need of Identity. They wish to be Ukraine, not another Russian Puppet. exactly russians still arent a joke they have mined the shit out of basically every field and road digging in trenches and conscripting men to hold.
Amen. Sick of seeing that garbage spoken daily
The truth is that this is probably the best chance Ukraine has at gaining back their territory. Depending on who wins the US elections support from their #1 provider of weapons and cash/credit might slow or even stop. So like it or not the offensive will need to speed up. Ukraine has gained 5 miles in 2 months of offensive and the US has a history of doing a 180 when elections happens and the party in charge changes.
@@turkey2003 The support for Ukraine is not going to be stopped or slowed down anytime soon my little ruskie friend, so that's bad news for you !
Since the moment USA, EU,Canada or Australia started to support Ukraine they made this decision.
Stopping the support now or in the near future makes absolutely no sense.
The decision for supporting or not Ukraine was made a couple of days after the russian barbarians started the war.

Absolutely nuts. And the fact of how calm these guys are throughout this whole experience truly is amazing. It's like Civ Div said, very experienced. Gotta say with how bunched up the have to be in that brush makes me nervous and has my stomach turning in all sorts of ways. I can barely imagine how these guys must feel. Much love to everyone out there
A lot of these guys are veterans. Just because the Iraqi insurgents, the Taliban and AQ, and ISIS didnt have massed artillery guns doesn't mean that they aren't veterans of being shelled. Both Iraq , Afghanistan, and the battle against ISIS featured significant artillery threats. They were just employed in different ways. Driving around Iraq in 2004 as IED bait, hoping to not hit a daisy chained 120mm artillery IED was not a whole lot different aside from it being buried where you couldn't see it.
These are awesome videos , thank you much appreciated!
The sound of him struggling to breath is nightmare fuel.
I've heard it twice now, on Axels POV and Arnie's POV, both times I've heard it, it fcking freaked me out. Glad the guy recovered because it sounded nasty af like his lung had deflated.
Collapsed lung from the overpressure of arty landing nearby
@@ek8710 Awful sound, sounds like something you shouldn't recover from. My old man has had two collapsed lungs in the past from broken ribs piercing his lung in accidents. They jam a giant needle/syringe into your lung to suck all the fluid that builds up in your lung while it's deflated. He said it was the most single painful thing he's ever been through, and he's been through the wars and been through some painful sht. The first time was about 25+ years ago, he had another just a couple of months ago after from falling from a motorcycle and he said it wasn't as painful this time, he's maybe just used to it now after going through it once already. Sometimes they also have to snap a rib to get the needle in too. It's a nasty thing to go through whatever the case so glad the dude is on the mend.
@@brainrot4919 he had a collapsed lung, broken jaw, and a hole in the neck behind his ear
@@Tokio_Tsu Collapsed lungs are surprisingly easy to treat and you can survive pretty long with, the process of deflaing the lung is fckin awful though, a huge plunger like syringe with a huge needle on the end of it has to be stuck into the lung, with force to break through the lung and then air pumped into the lung through it to reflate the lung. My dads had two in his life and survived both, but said it was the single most painful thing he's ever experienced an he completely snapped his leg in half as a child, but these guys are tough af and have experienced alot of injuries now so probably have more resistance than my dad to pain and probably have been through more painful injuries too. Anyway I think the dudes more lucky that hole in his neck didn't rip his jugular vein into shreds if it was just an inch or two lower, there's no surviving that, more chance surviving a bullet to the head.

I don't know if CivDiv will see this, but one thing that I've always wanted to ask one of these volunteers is this: why? What's your motive for putting your life on the line for this war?
It's not accusatory or derisive, but really wanting to see what makes them get up every day and suit up with such uncertainty each day in the face of possible death. If you could ask them that, I'd be incredibly grateful. Thanks for all these videos.
He'll be surprised once he knows the truth about the Ukraine War. Shame that he's supporting Modern Nazis
He told in another video once that everyone has their own reason. Some are there for the action, some are there to help Ukraine, some are there for the Brotherhood. I believe for most it’s a feeling of belonging to something that is bigger than themselves. The video is from 11 months ago and is called “why foreign fighter go to Ukraine”.
If you are looking for ukranian foreign servicemen's reasons in general, I know the one that runs the Nucking_Futs_Yuri channel gave his own reason as its own video about 7 or 8 months ago I believe, and LindyBeige has had a British volunteer on in the past, and is in the process of interviewing a Canadian volunteer from what I understand.

Excellent vid, as always! Thanks!👍👍 Two questions:
(a) The sound of small arms fire has abated & you noted that that Ukrainians were digging in. Did the Ukrainian unit being 'rescued'/'supported' by the foreigner unit intentionally break contact with the Russians, or were the Russians ordered to retreat (and to give space to their artillery), or was there another reason? 🤔
(b) Finally, it looked like the WIA (over-pressure/perhaps shrapnel?) who was quite close to Arnie may have had a Canadian flag patch. Is that correct? If so, my prayers for my fellow Canadian! Wishing him a rapid & complete recovery!🙏

In the military in my country I learnt that when crossing an shorter open terrain or a road the best is that everyone runs at the same time and that is because of that even if the enemy sees you they can not shoot one at a time passing that open section
The thing is, spacing must be watched because one would not want an entire group to be taken out by a single shell or something similar
