Why would divincenzo be pissed one of his college friends joined a yeam that already had his college friends? Dude doesn’t seem like He has an ego i doubt he’ll be pissed about coming off the bench. Also dudes averaging 45+ min a game in the playoffs having their minutes lowered is a good thing
Because people forget Donte came off the bench the entire year Nova won in 2018.
The Knicks organization has done a complete reversal from 4 years ago. The players they have acquired make this team a real contender and it’s going to be fun to watch

Bridges has the nicest contract in the game. Bridges will happily go back to being the 3rd choice.
I also think there's plenty of game for him to be a 1st option throughout. I'd like him to rest early and lead the second unit while Brunson and Randle rest.
Josh will backup the 2,3,4 spots while divi will interchange and backup the 2,3… duece with spell the 1 for Brunson at times, and that center backup spot is up for grabs…could see Randle leave early and come back with the second unit at the 5 at times and play small ball
The Randle thing I'm not sure about, they tried this last year with Randle leading the second unit and it looked awful. It wasn't a huge sample size so who knows, but I wouldn't mind Thibs trying something a bit different. Maybe let Mikal and Donte run for a bit and see how it can do.
Divo is gonna be better off cooking 2nd units. And he knows that
Ill be shocked if he doesnt end up in the 6th man running next year. His time as a starter last year boosted his game and now playing against the other teams bench he’ll feast.

so we gave up grimes,obi,RJ and IQ for OG,MB and Dante. as LD would say pretty pretty good

Rose and his team have been nothing short of great, and I am the most cynical of Knicks fans... believe me when I tell you-- we are in for a great ride so long as he is here.
The thing about OG is that you really have to focus on what he gives you defensively. He improves their points allowed by 10 points. That’s nothing to sneeze at! When you add that he can guard all five spots on the floor, he becomes even more invaluable. If Mikail can shave off another 6 points or so, they’re going to be a real problem!
Remember when basketball had players like, Ewing, Oakley and Larry Johnson. Players today just don't have the charm that they had in the 90s.
Trade Randle, get back another perimeter scorer/defender and or picks, free up cap space and sign Hartenstein.
