Awesome recap on the subject. I used your original formula with the Safe N' Sound and it's been amazing. I have a friend who does music production on the side and when he came in, he was surprised by the sound. My room is not ideal, 12'x10' with 10' ceilings and although the bass is still a bit of an issue due to the room size, it still works. I just got some smaller monitors to avoid pumping too much bass and achieved a fairly flat frequency response. Thanks for the content, it's been awesome.
Thanks so much for the note. Glad you liked the video and thrilled the panels are working out for you. Make some awesome music!!!!

Another great vid LR, you'll always get at least one idiot criticize absolutely anything you might say. You and your channel have been a great inspiration to me and the treatment of my own home studio. Based on your panel designs I've actually made them and sold them to other home and commercial studio owners. All were satisfied with the look and performance so many thanks to you. I hasten to add that when people subscribe to your channel they'll get to see vids on a whole plethora of subjects of interest to home studio enthusiasts. Well done sir and keep em coming, yes I am a fan but for good reason....
Always love to hear from you my friend. Thnx. as always, for your positivity. That's just as inspiring as anything I've ever done on this channel :-)

Dude, your corners are the best! Been there and I have tried all the others:(
Ha!! Thanks!! I retired my Acoustic Panel game but glad my videos still help people :). I'm mainly do guitar/home studio topics but all my panels still surround me :)
Ha ha ya I don't blame you, and I know in reality it takes many hours to do 4 of them - if you want a nice product. I will check back to your channel in awhile, but in the meantime got get these suckers on the wall@@LonelyRocker
Btw, are you the same guy that did the guitar (Stratocaster) videos to adjust the neck and intonation?
Doesn't sound like me...I don't have a Strat :)
No worries, have you ever built diffusers? Any reccomedations or videos on how to build them? I heard of some techy stuff with resonators which will vibrate a certain Hz. They are designed to cancel the standing waves below100Hz@@LonelyRocker
I know you said you use upholstery for the fabric - but can you give any insight to what type of fabric. Polyester, Cotton, linen, nylon, anything of the sort. I’ve been “testing” fabrics by breathing through them with zero luck - so any advice on this wood really help.
I honestly don't know what it's made of. It had no label on it. But you really shouldn't overthink it. As long as air can pass through it it will have ZERO effect on absorption. It just covers your panels and keeps everything inside. It really has no role to play in absorption so just choose a fabric you like.

Can I use cotton fabric
Sure....you might find it creases but if it's all you have it will do the trick...

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nice video, but I would say the thicknes of a pannel is very important...
Thank you. I've done a lot more research since this video. It all comes down to what you want to do. Thickness alone will not necessarily determine the efficiency of the absorption or whether or not you absorb the desired frequencies. They types of materials and HOW you install the panels are major factors.
+ "What fabric should I use for acoustic panels?"
- "Just go to your local fabric store and ask there."
Why tf this video then??
