I’m Canadian. They wouldn’t test me. I had chest pain and shortness of breath for a week and a half. Never had shortness of breath like that before, given my age and good health. It was so weird and messed up not being able to breathe. I’m not sure if I had it but if I did, then I’m so glad I’m better now. Mostly worried about my dad who’s older. :(

The scariest part of this disease is that the condition can deteriorate rapidly in just several hours. One can feel totally OK in the afternoon and then die by the midnight.

It’s true there have been many cases of rapid deterioration, all over the world. The virus attacks your lungs and airways but it’s weakens your body so much it can lead to multiple organ failure. A lot of victims are dying from heart attacks as their bodies try and fight the virus.
I had the virus with relatively weaker symptoms. Although it was never life-threatening for me, I was indeed very surprised to experience how quickly my condition was deteriorating. This is not like flu at all. I feel fine now, thank God. I haven’t had fever for the last 6-7 days.
