I just want to say that I am so happy with Mr. Miller and his sharing his down to earth training methods. I purchased the puppy training videos and am very happy with the series. I have been a K9 officer for 15 years. I have always had full grown trained partners. I'm getting my first actual puppy and after watching these videos, I am very well pleased with all that Charles is teaching me.

Hi German Shepherd Man, I was cracking up when you said that these puppies are at the stage where you have to run in order to keep up with the. It reminds me of running after toddlers, especially the older toddlers,🤣 When human babies start to walk, you can go with them at a leisurely pace. Once they get to walking more stably, you kind if have to almost jog, but then comes the day when you gave to RUN in order to actually KEEP UP with said human toddler. Awwww, Red Collar girl looooooooves you! I loved seeing her literally hold onto your hand with her little paws. Red Collar girl was looking at you like you are the greatest person that she has ever known. I love how you call a lot of the boy dogs and puppies bruh😉 I also had to smile when you said that these are Seargant puppies, and that some of them were playing with sticks😉 Who is the Mama of this particular litter of pups?
Thank you for this puppy video! Loving seeing the differences in pup personalities. I keep debating on a second shepherd. You are right, they are a lot of work, but well worth it! I have western female, very active, awesome athlete. Hard deciding between a gentle giant or a sergeant to keep up with her! Will there be any new litters coming soon?

Absolutely beautiful face on the last pup there. Oh man ! makes me want another GSD puppy, but I know that I don't have the time for second one lol.. Just to add I saw one of your older videos on the same topic and my pup was the only one out of the entire litter that stayed calm cool and collected when I held her like that. Try Bone Broth mix of 3 RAW chicken carcasses and 2 femur marrow bones from Beef or Lamb. Add 3.5 litres of filtered water , boil and then simmer for 24 hours . Full of great stuff . Ears will go up and so good for joints, tummies etc.

Hey GSM, great video! I was wondering if you have any advice on sensitive stomach German shepherds? My shepherd can't handle anything besides her regular dog food ( Royal Canine German Shepherd) even as simple as a small dog treat has her rushing to go outside.

I have a 9 week old GS puppy. Any tips on her biting. She bites/crews on any and everything she can get. Sometimes even bites shoes while we walk by her. Thank you!
It might seem like it will never end, but that is the perfect time to keep placing your hand in their mouth and say "ouch , ouch," until they stop. Then you reward/praise them for stopping. You also re-direct them to their toy(s) once they stop and they can continue. It was a bit painful for me as their little teeth are sharp , but it was all worth it and she learned to not bite on clothing or hands etc..

I start the vitamins early, introduce the fish oil after about a month gradually, the joint supplements I start at about 5ish months, the Fortiflora weekly from the start and the sea kelp gradual introduction after a month or so also. GSM

Hi GSM.... I am purchasing some land in your neck of the woods (northern Florida) and was wondering what insects, parasites (fleas/ticks, etc) I may encounter and how to keep them off my GSD's? Im currently in the suburbs of the semi-arid desert in Southern CA and have no parasite issues. Can you do a Video on it????
I keep everything inside the fence clean cut and use Heartgard and Nexgard for worms, fleas and tick control. It works well. GSM

My 7 week GSD female doesnt really understand the commands. Basically, is 7 weeks old too young to start teaching her commands? She understands her name. Hello! We got our german shepherd puppy at 8 weeks old and he's pretty skinny (not sure if he was the runt or not) compared to other puppies his age in videos I've watched. Is it normal for him to be super skinny (barely any body fat, can easily feel his ribs and hip bones)? How much food should he be eating per day?
Get a parasite check at a Vet ASAP for starters. It is called a fecal check...I do them all the time through the year just to make sure all my dogs are healthy inside their digestive system. GSM

Sometimes most larger breeds can have those issues. Make sure you get a puppy from great stock if possible. GSM

Maybe a little on the small side...get a Vet to do a fecal check to make sure there are no parasites in the baby's system. GSM

You should try using a dog food called the farmer’s dog. It’s not a kibble, but it’s really good for them. There are tons of ads for it on UA-cam.

I'm glad you have found a healthy way to help their ears stand up. The only thing I ever knew of was taping, which I have never been okay with. I'll definitely need to remember about the egg and chicken feed for when I get my German Shepherd.

I have a question: I’d love a Shepard but i work 10hrs a day most days is it still possible to work so much and still be able to Give this breed everything it needs?
We have always had shepherds, they have to at least stay busy, have a neighbor, family or friend come over to take your dog to go potty or a small walk while you are at work, especially if you don't have a back yard. You can also hire a dog walker for a good price. There are a few great companies out there. Just remember they are pack animals and do love being with their family, so when you are home they will WANT TO PLAY WITH YOU! If you just want to come home and relax, get a different type of dog till your schedule opens up. You can always adopt an adult/senior shelherd dog who will give you the same amount of LOVE but not have as much energy. I had a girl who wanted us to take their shepherd because her pup got along with ours. She loved her dog so much but couldn't afford doggy daycare anymore and obviously had to go to school full time and work..... so just see where you are at and what resources you have, and make the best decision for you AND the dog.

we tried to add to the family and got another Husky/Shepherd mix. Unfortunately our dog did not take well to her and tried to kill her! It was very trumatic for me. My neighbor took her and she was adopted out to a family in Washington with a teenager. She has a great home now. Out dog is just way too possessive over me.

GSM, thanks for the video of utter cuteness. We picked out our puppy already and are planning to get him next Monday. He will 7 weeks and 3 days that day. Is that okay or do you recommend we wait till 8 weeks to get him? Breeder said anytime from 7-8.
I'm no expert like GSM but the longer they are with their litter mates and mother the better they socialize and get use to being around other dogs. They also learn valuable lessons from the mother. I got my first GS at 7 weeks and my second at 4 months. The second puppy was much more confident and had no anxiety toward other dogs. Just my 2 cents.

@@jmmarshall5492 yes I'm not surprised. By 4 to 7 months they are comfortable being around other dogs and hopefully different people to some extent. My first GS loves people! But has anxiety issues when seeing other dogs. She will gladly run up to strangers but goes nuts if see sees another dog. Our newest GS we got at 4.5 months old has no problem with other dogs but is cautious around strangers, which to me is preferable. He's very loyal to me, always at my side wherever I go. He has much more confidence. I suppose some of that may be DNA. He's a East German Shepherd with strong bloodlines. I know GSM has talked about this many times. But I truly think puppies are often removed from their litter mates to soon at 7 to 8 weeks.
My puppies are usually ready for new homes at around 7.5 weeks. Different states have different requirements for delivery age. GSM
