@@AsadAnjum Just sick of people saying gaming as a whole is dying so whenever someone says gaming is dying, I just say “Live-services and Ubisoft games are dying.” And believe it or not, there’s great AAA out there that aren’t Ubisoft that deserve the attention.
@@Rainbowhawk1993 yeah I agree. Great indie stuff is ALWAYS coming out and if you chose the right AAA games you'll have a great time. This year in particular has almost had TOO many good AAA games
Ironically, Prince of Persia trailer got the worst reception out of all these announcements. People love the Ubisoft's typical soulless product, why should Ubisoft do better if any worthless trash works?
I've enjoyed every single AC so far and would consider it one of my favourite gaming series and the one that stuck with me from fifth grade to graduating university. However Valhalla really burnt me out in a way that it's hard to get excited for the new games. Mirage looks like a solid game - nothing more, nothing less - and some of the others (mobile) just aren't for me. Hexe is my hope for the series. It could (!) bring a mixture of a new setting, darker tone and hopefully a combination of classic AC gameplay and new mechanics to the franchise, but there is of course one major risk: it's an Ubisoft game. Aside from that, great Video, as always.
Nothing Mirage is doing makes me wanna play it, I feel like I'd have a better time going back and playing some of the others that came out before Origins. Hexe is a cool (very early) idea, but I'm hoping Red is good enough to get the series back on track (in terms of public reception, money wise the series is actually in a better place than uts ever been cause of MTX)
Awesome job as always. The audio choice at 8:28 was impeccable 😂 Yeah I'd say 11 Assassin's Creed games is probably too much... but on the other hand I OD'd on AC2, got the platinum, and haven't been able to coax out a single shit to give about the rest of the series since, so maybe I'm not the best person to ask. I hope their VR game winds up good (and gets ported to other platforms since Meta apparently dropped their exclusivity deal), and honestly a team based PvE game could actually be a lot of fun if it requires teamwork to pull off some more elaborate assassinations. I agree the Star Wars game demo looked very set-piece-y, and the enemy AI didn't really impress. Also I'm getting a bit tired of MCs in Star Wars stuff always having to have an adorable sidekick. It just feels formulaic at this point. And yes, the main character. Yes... Clearly they didn't see the reaction to Forespoken's early gameplay. The new Prince of Persia looks alright. Sort of neat that they're going aaaaaaaaaall the way back to the series' roots as a side-scroller, but what they've shown so far has nothing of the original's methodical deathtrap gameplay. I was sort of looking forward to the remake of Prince of Persia Sands of Time, as that's an all-time classic, but the remake looked pretty bad from the start.
Late on this reply but I liked seeing your thoughts on some of these games. I think PoP has a lot of potential, and as for the Sands of Time Remake, it did look terrible when it was first shown but the studio behind it has completely changed and from my understanding they basically reset the project, so that one might look a lot better next time we see it. Outlaw for sure looks pandery like you said, it has a lot of positive noise around it but I'm a skeptic. And I think mostly everyone agrees that 11 ACs is excessive to say the least. I'm really interested in how their games sell/are received through 2023/24
AC Mirage looks bad. The animations look stiff, the textures looks dated, Ubisoft's gameplay they showed at the showcase looked legitimately hilarious at some parts and that was likely in engine. Also the teleporting is stupid. PoP actually looks kind of interesting. It looks challenging but also pretty fun. I have never been into Metroidvanias but it still looked like something I would buy if it costed only $30 (which it won't) Avatar looks like it has alot of potential, but since this is Ubisoft it will almost certainly live up to none of that potential. Most likely it will be very pretty but also pretty boring. Though because they couldn't even manage to make it third person it makes me wonder what else about the game Ubisoft is gonna f*ck up Starwars Outlaws looks fine. Nothing about it looked bad, but nothing about it made me think it would be worth $70 Xdefient looks fun only because it is free Skull and Bones is a meme
It kills me the amount of "reskining" that's going on. They're telling stories and putting together games that have already been done. This time it's just with the skin of Assassin's Creed or Prince of Persia. Nothing original, everything recycled. Heck, they've run out of ideas such that they thought remaking AC4 would be a good idea 🙄
I agree about Outlaws. I can't put my finger on it but something about it just screams red flags. Maybe it's the protagonist herself or just the writing, but it's giving me Forspoken vibes.
They should just remake all the old AC games instead of making trash new ones. Would love to see AC 1 and the Ezio trilogy with next gen graphics. (But with the old combat, just updated and refined; maybe a better version of Unity combat as well as parkour)
Outlaw is set to release next year. So I'm pretty what we saw was more so the first part of the game they finished, I would agree it's probably not real if this showing was like 2 or more years off like something Anthem and Cyberpunk's early showings. But that's like way to late if you ask me to create an entire slice just to show off when your game is only shy of a year. Most devs show off part of the game they finished first. My assumption is that this is the first part the finished but they did tune somethings within it because somethings are scripted. But I don't think it's as sketchy as we may think, for example the seemless planet to space traversing, especially with current hardware and we have games like Starfield (if it is what it says it is) and things like Totk coming out on a potato. I feel like it wasn't that impressive, it was just very scripted, the same way Marvel's Spider-Man PS4 2017 E3 showcase was scripted or God of War's PS4 2017 showcase was. Good vid, and yeah the Prince of Persia game looks good, don't know what's the fus is about, when it's made clear it's a spinoff title.
I more meant the spontaneity of the trailer was fake, like how they used that moving crate for cover and then hopped down and got caught by someone out of the corner of their eye and then ran to cover and got in a shootout and then ran away and jumped into a bike and escaped. It felt like an overdesigned demo that didn't feel fully true to how it would be like to play it. The thing with spidey or GOW or TLOU2s demos were that the things they were showing actually would consistently happen in the game, and on top of that they looked really exciting to pull off. From how it was presented I don't think this demo is very true to the experiences you'll have playing this game, and to make matters worse I don't even think the sequence was THAT exciting regardless, it seemed pretty stiff. Maybe I'm just being cynical but I have a feeling this game is more classic Ubi than anything new
I think that Ubisoft is doing what people in the know call _dying_.
They’re a tumbling car that’s on fire that’ll continue to crash and burn to our amusement.
You seem like you're going through some stuff

This new style with the face cam is really cool. Great video once again; 90% of the Ubisoft higher-ups are on crack surely
Thanks, I wasn't able to use face cam for a while cause I didn't have a setup but I like being back in this structure at least for some videos
Ubisoft is fr getting silly with all the 11 AC games in development.
Especially, when they struggle to make one game polished and solid.

Bums me out how PoP is being received. I fully believe that'll be a highlight of 2024

Uncharted 4 is better than 99% of games you could play so that seems like a smart move

Hell no bro. She seems way more cooler than the Forspoken character. You should revisit it.
Remember this is Ubisoft, remember Watch Dogs, remember how different The Division and Rainbow Six Seige was from their pre-scripted trailers.

there actually was a pretty fun AC mobile game

Are they making more games because of the AI writer for their scripts?
Im still stuck on rainbow six siege, im on pc btw not that it matters…
