You nailed it lady. Ghanaians have identified with Nigerians because of colonial history and the common English language but actually, our blood brothers and sisters are in Ivory Coast and Togo.

Ghanaian are not only identify themselves with Nigeria because of colonial history, but also because they're brothers and sisters. Go and learned history.
The Ga people and Ewe ethnic group in Ghana they are originated from Nigeria.
The Ewe are traced to Oyo, Nigeria, at least as far back as the 13th century CE. They were originally called the Dogbo people. While the Ga people of Ghana originated from Ile Ife, the ancestral home of the Yoruba people.

The real truth about the similarities between Ghana and Ivory Coast is as follows. 1. The largest ethnic group in Ghana is the AKANS and the largest ethnic group in Ivory coast is the AKANS which means there is a lot of similarities in our local dialect
    2. There are a part of the AKANS in Ghana and a part of the AKANS in Ivory Coast who are part of the Ashanti Kingdom situated in Kumasi Ghana
    3. Most AKANS in Ivory coast are descendants of Abena Pokua a queen mother from the Ashanti Kingdom.
If you go to Jamaica and visit the Maroons you will see a lot of similarities between them and Ghanaians that's because a lot of Maroons are descendants of the Akan tribe.

the Akans of Côte d'Ivoire, and our Akan brothers of Ghana, are one and the same people, it's just these colonial languages that divide us, otherwise we are the same, we share practically the same culture with some slight differences.

Akans make the higest share of both ghana and Ivory coast population. The fraction of Ashanti People that left the Ashanti Kingdom, on their way to Ivory C, where welcomed by another Akan tribe called "Anyi or Agni". So they decided to abandonned Twi language (the language of Ashanti people) and speak Anyi language. So litterally, Bawle language is the result of Ashanti People speaking Anyi language that why Bawle language is so close to Anyi language compared to the original twi language. Asandrè ( in Sakassou region of Ivory C) was the last village to be speaking original twi language before they turn into Bawle language.
By the way, kentey fabric (ghana) = Kita fabric (Ivory coast)

I've never been in either country but from the videos I've noticed that CIV's infrastructure, trafic signs etc look exactly like in France. Some areas actually look like near Marseille or also in Martinique.

Very good job. You did well. Just three add-ons:
1.the name is cote divoire and has been since is the crzation of its colony. Ivory coast is nothing but the word to word English translation
    2. The ivoirian Koumassi has nothing to do with the ghanaian Kumasi. Its a coincidence. Its like saying the ivorian Touba and the Senegalese Touba. The ivoirian kumassi means the place of flies. It is in Atchan, the language spoken by the Abidjan tribe. They're part of the Akan people but the similarity on how the name sound is a coincidence.
    3. not all the akan people in côte divoire speak Twi. Just part of tha Akan prople in Assinie region speak a languqge very similar to Twi. And they are a very small minority, laybe 1 to 3% of the population.
Just keep in mind Akan in cote d'ivoire is an ethnicity group with similar cultures but encompasses many different local tribes among which the Baoulé, Agni, Aboure, N'Zima, Attie, Atchan.
Now we all agree though the Baoulé tribe is rhe lost populous one in cote d'ivoire and is the tribe wirh the largest land.

it remains a legend, which has been told over several generations.
the expression "ba or li" whose deformation is said to have given "baoulé" is not relevant, it is a typically current Baoulé expression, while at the time of the migration the people who came spoke " twi", it is over time that the "twi" will be deformed to give the current language "baoulé",
in reality if we really want to know the definition of the word "baoulé" we must look for its meaning in "twi" ashanti, unless the name "baoulé" was chosen centuries later when the twi had been transformed into baoulé
