  • 🌮This recipe is very easy and very delicious! No-knead saves the kneading effort and allows time to form gluten, the taste is great, the ingredients are very simple
    🍞Ingredients
    1. Dough
    2cups/300g All-purpose flour
    1tsp/3g Instant yeast
    200ml Lukewarm water
    1tbsp/12g Sugar
    1/4tsp/1.5g Salt
    2. Filling
    400g Ground pork/beef
    2tsp Soy sauce
    1tsp Dark Soy sauce
    1tsp Oyster sauce
    1/8tsp Pepper powder
    1/4tsp Salt
    1tsp Ginger
    50ml Water
    50g Green onion
    1tbsp Oil

    Cooking suggestions.
    1. the water content of this dough is very high, remember to use more hand flour, otherwise it is difficult to follow later
    2. ground meats can be used pork / beef / chicken
    3. the first fermentation to 2 times the size of about one hour, the second fermentation will take about 30-40 minutes
    4. steam for 15 minutes after the water boils, then simmer for 5 minutes before removing the lid to avoid the bun shrinking back

    Yesterday was my first time trying make Bao. I followed your instruction and it unexpectedly succeeded! I made about 15 buns and the plate was empty becuase they were soooo good.

      When underkneading the dough, usually the taste is not as good. Does this really turn out to be good? I doubt it at first before your comment.

    Hi, thanks for sharing your simple recipe and the buns looks yummy. Please advice how much water to reduce if I add some oil to make the bun skin looks smother? Can I steam the bun with normal baking tray if I don't have a steaming basket? Will the buns rise well like yours? Your earliest advice is much appreciated. Thanks

      Yes you can! you can freeze them after rising, or after steaming. Both are okay! Steam it directly when u want to eat.

    I followed exactly measurement here but my dough came out super wet. I had to add about 50gr flour more. What did I do wrong? Please advise me. Thank you!

      old comment but just in case you still wonder: theres a lot of reasons why this may happen, most commonly the quality of the flour and the humidity/weather where you live. maybe your flour was grounded to a different consistency so it needs more water for proper humectation, and your air may be drier too.

      Because of flour differences it is recommended to not use all of the liquid but put a little of it aside and only use it if needed. So put the yeast in part of the water and adjust dough consistency with the rest of the water. This is applicable for any recipe that calls for flour and liquid :)

      @@ritualesalso, for this recipe the dough should be a little sticky. It’s why they add a little bit of flour while flattening and filling the dough. If the dough is complete sticky free the final result with be dryer but still pretty delicious.

      因為在蒸的時候會有水蒸氣
