    Are all the beams 2” we found wooden dowels that were 1 3/4” do you think would be good to practice on or even an 1”?

    Difficult to get a beam sent over to Scotland so I’ve made my own. But I was able to find 2”, metre long maple dowels here so at least it’s a bit Canadian 😉

    I’d like to make some of these for my track teams to use.
    Do you recommend a metal beam or wood? Is there an advantage one material?
    What width and how long do you recommend? Want something I can store in the locker room but also transport by car.

    Why would anyone pay that kind of money for a beam, a wooden dowel and support cradle could be made for less than 20% of that cost - c'mon now.
