- If you've watched the other version of the original Cathedrals on UA-cam, then this is not the version you've seen. The Cathedrals had so many requests for this song that they did it two nights in a row, and this is the second night's performance, which shows much more power and spirit.
Hope you enjoy, I sure did!
Also, can anybody tell me what George says to Bobby after the song? Gotta love George's country catch phrases!
True talent!, no banging drums..
Smoke& mirrors....just talent!.
Danny Koker was one of the best pianist for this group and always excelled in his piano picking. Over the Moon in 1960 Album!
Coker!
@@GospelPhil His arrangements were top notch on The Cathedrals With Brass! Man do I love that album!!!
Over the Moon was Weatherford Quartet. My parents.
Hard to believe all these guys are gone. Was honored to be part of Bobby's funeral. Was part of the choir at Glen's funeral. While singing with the Weatherfords, I got to be around all of these guys except for Danny. Good times and memories. I was always asked if I was related to Glen. I think I've finally found the missing link in our history.
The Handsome Hound and the Handsome Houndnette asks, "Who is the fellow on the piano?".
That's Danny Coker. He was the original piano player. His son, Danny Jr, has a TV show called Kounts Kustom and he restores cars.
The Handsome Hound and the Handsome Houndnette ask, "Hello, we've a question: Who's that on the piano?".
The Handsome Hound and the Handsome Houndnette says, "My Friend, we just saw the answer you provided, Brother Danny Coker. All we can say is, 'Thanks'! "
Danny KokerJR the Count on Counting Cars talks about how proud he was of his Dad, Danny Sr. on the piano and he should be. He traveled with his Dad and family at a younger age and wrote songs and also traveled with Rex Humbard. He's had some pretty cool experiences growing up and also builds some pretty cool hot rods.
This song speaks to me - through all of life's storms and troubles, I can always find my hiding place in God's arms! Thank you Jesus.
Incredible piano!
I'm a pianist myself, and Danny Koker is one of my all time favorites!
Rosie sounded a lot like Bobby Clark!! Love this song. Such a blessing,
Most likely one of the greatest natural tenors ever., in the class with Denver Crumpler of the Statesmen,
And Sherril Nelson, and Larry Ford
Exactly. I loved to hear Denver Crumpler even when he was with the Rangers. I was a small child when he passed away. But, thanks to UA-cam I discovered his beautiful voice. Larry Ford is a given as a God given tenor voice. Denver and Larry both have beautiful Irish tenor voices.
Don't forget David Phelps from gvb
THÀNKS BILL & GLORIA _THÌS MUSIC STILL BLESSING 5.25.23
Searching for the best superlatives! Wow! The singers define gospel, the pianist shines! I just read that the Counting Cars guy is his son. This is why I read comments. Thank you for edifying us in all ways. Such a blessing. Such talent!
Now, this is what I call, " real soul" music. I listen to it and I melt like butter on a hot sidewalk in August. Praise the Lord!
Absolutely some of the best!
Craig Damien Andrew Barry
Bless the Lord!
3 years later Danny Coker God speaks to us through him
Love it awesome singing.
Pero que craks amigos !!! Que buenos son que buen primer Tenor!!!!
Love all the Cats, especially the ORIGINAL!
Me too, the originals were awesome!
John said, "l must decrease and Christ must increase". When you sing to glorify yourself, it means nothing no matter how beautiful you may sing.
Good thing that isn’t happening here
Thank you for posting, my favorite group (all of them)!
Some of us are older - these fine men can sing the hound outta ……
That’s a great singer for Jesus, the man at the piano is a master, what’s his name?
That’s Danny Koker. Not sure if you’ve seen Counting Cars on the History channel, but Danny Koker Jr. (the Count) is this piano player’s son. He was a fantastic musician.
@@brandenblackwell9116 Yes, Danny Koker the great gospel piano player and singer. I loved his performances back in the 70’s with Rex Humbard. I wish I could find his music on UA-cam.
What a blessing!
This is one of the songs we can realize Glen clearly do the baritone part!
Definitely! Glen started singing the baritone part quite early on in the Cathedrals' career.
@@thecathedralquartetfans3795 I thought glen sang lead
@@Royer_Boys Glen was the official lead singer, and did often sing the melody, but usually, the “baritone” was singing a harmony higher than Glen.
SGM. soul music!!!!!!
When and where was this recorded? There's a part of me that hopes it was a second night of the 30th anniversary reunion. 😃
WOW-------------JESUS

Love the Cathedrals, but this song just doesn't cut it for me
Popeyes a sissy, oh no there’s no doubt about that!
That’s what George says!
