- Here is a rare video that I'm excited to share with you. The Cathedrals performing their "Go Out to the Program" routine where they impersonate several well known groups and personalities in gospel music. The Oak Ridge Boys originated this routine in the 1960's and for many years it was a staple of their concerts. I hope ya'll get a kick out of this like I did!
Remember, all this was in good fun and not intended to mock anybody. The groups they impersonated got a kick out of it as well!
Lastly, I'd like to thank a good friend of mine for sharing this concert with me and allowing me to share some clips. He has the entire video posted on his channel, which can be viewed here: • Cathedral Quartet NQC ...
Please go subscribe to his channel as well if you enjoy classic Southern Gospel Music!
There will never be another quartet , like The Cathedral Quartet ! ! !
What a treat to hear something from the Cathedrals that I never heard before. Never knew they did this. Priceless ! Thanks for posting.
They are a wonderful group. George is so funny. Gerald wolfe is an absolute crazy funny guy. Love him.
This is classic.
I have records, cassettes and cds of the Cathedrals
It'll be interesting to see if this stays up :-) I've seen it elsewhere on UA-cam and it always gets taken down. Save it if you want it.
Same here, never thought I'd see this again. 🤣 Classic!
@@Uncle05Sam Me too. It’s a hilarious clip. My guess is that someone copied the previous clip before it was removed by the other UA-camr.
There was a group who had this song as the title of their album. Blackwoods, Stamps, Statesmen…..maybe another group. I can’t remember.
It was the Oak Ridge Boys
That’s right George make sure you stay in camera range😏
Jered Cady
What about being Kenny Hinson!
I think they are better Inspirations than the real Inspirations!
