Imagine $10,000, bundled with a real bomb (strong enough to blow up the money but not damage anyone), in public, where someone puts on a VR headset and is able to call one person. The bomb activates, if the person with the VR headset on and the expert successfully defuse the bomb, the enclosure opens and they get the $10,000. If they fail, the bomb blows up the $10,000.

WHAT MODULE ARE YOU LOOKING AT?!” And then he’s in a Maze? And there’s some double submit coming at me? Like how did you... what?
@@critrawkets Once you know the steps is just repetition. People seem to always think it's really hard because at first it looks confusing and you don't know how to start it without a tutorial or some kind of instructions
It's actually even worse than just remembering/noting every number that shows up. Each of those numbers then has to be converted into a new number through various rules to then be entered BACK into the module correctly. It's why you hear Rex say he's checking/working it out near the end rather than just rattling off the numbers immediately. It's pretty insane stuff.
I just love the little discussion about accurate astrology signs that happens for no real reason after an hour of tightly controlled, methodical exchange of information, and after which they get back to serious business
Imagine the bad guy setting up the bomb bad guy 1: That's it I did it. I made the most complex bomb ever. Noone will ever defuse this Bad guy 2: put the time to an hour and a half Bad guy 1: what? Bad guy 2: how are they gonna defuse this if we give them 5 minutes? Bad guy 1: oh Oooh oh yeaaah
Or maybe we have a Blown Away (94) situation where they knew they'd call in a certain person to defuse it because of its complexity and they wanted them to think they had enough time
actually if a bomb is way too hard to defuse the second protocol is to just conceal it so makes sense to give a false sensation of the defuser being able to defuse it
Proves that we've become so desensitized when it comes to clickbaits, that we'd be surprised as hell when finding out that it's genuine. Not that I'm complaining -- I could use more of these here in UA-cam.
Actual bombs don't have washing machines, beer mugs, battleship, minesweeper, an ice cream shop, clue, keys, simon says, and morse code. I think I'd take an actual bomb given the choice (if both were just as deadly).
forget defusing, you have 90 minutes and it can be handled, just haul it to the middle of nowhere and let it go off. if its a nuke, also have a few high-speed cameras set up. or try using shaped charges to disassemble it ahead of the anti-tamper detonation signal.

Yup as breadstick said, just the phonetic alphabet. Radios don't typically have the best quality like your radio station hosts you hear in your car. The phonetic alphabet is there so that people can say information over the radio without people getting mixed up and having different accents or even a lisp getting in the way of what letter they're trying to pronounce, even some telecommunications companies when helping setup your internet or whatever :D
@@_haida It's a professional/military way to spell something. Every letter of the alphabet given a word so that you can't mistake what you're trying to tell them. Used mostly for radio as the interference has the possibility or messing up with the ability to hear the word, and letters can be heard different ways by accident. For example, I'll say my name. Sierra India Romeo Space (Depending on where you are you say space to, obviously, indicate a space) Bravo Romeo Echo Alpha Delta Sierra Tango India Charlie Kilo

Rubik's cube: scrambled by 3 moves Person with an iq higher than room temperature: solves the cube Person with an iq higher than room temperature: * LITERALLY GOD *
I love this game because half of it is just about having solid good communication with everyone that will effectively and quickly give people enough information to solve the module. It’s like a mental puzzle of how you’re going to communicate what you’re looking at in enough detail and most of the time it’s not something you’ve ever really had to explain before (unless you’re these guys). The manual people also have to communicate what they need but they’re only seeing a manual and need to think of what they even need in the first place. As you play the game more you’ll find more efficient ways to play by improving communication and understanding of what you’re actually doing. For this reason, this game is best played with the same person/people nearly every time. You’re never going to make it anywhere if you take someone who’s never played before and expect them to understand and communicate enough info. Even if two people that both play the game a lot play together, they may not use the same form of communication to describe things. Sometimes it’s logical enough that the other person might figure it out, but that’s up to the type of players. This game is unique because you can only improve the most when it’s as a team with the same people. It encourages close bonding and teamwork that a normal multiplayer game would never. It really doesn’t matter how good you are at something, but if you NEED another person for something but neither of you can communicate with each other, you won’t succeed.
that, and he won't shut the fuck up and listen to the guy reading out the numbers, he absolutely has to say "yup yup yup" over every sequence, causing him to have to stop and ask what the numbers were again. i'm over here like "JUST FUCKING SHUT UP AND YOU'LL HEAR THE NUMBERS" lmao
@@ToxicKlay In these situations, communication is significantly more important than speed. If they need to spent an extra second to ensure they heard each other correctly, that trade off is completely worth it. The cost of mishearing someone is a loss. The cost of your partner going too fast and getting ahead of you is a loss. The cost of not knowing which part of your sequence your partner heard and which they're asking you to repeat is a loss. So saying "yep" every 3 numbers in exchange for maybe one or two sets being repeated is obviously worth it. This also extends to other modules as well. Note how all three of them say "thank you", "yep", "yes it is", or "got it" every time they are given information. One of the people was literally given a number after every single module, and he made sure to say "got it" every time. There were a couple times when he didn't say "got it", and the defuser repeated the number to ensure he had the information. Because again: repeating information to make sure communication is as high as possible is a completely worthwhile trade.
@@Ruminations09 You can do this without saying "Yup". Yup is filler. Skip it. One reads out the sequence, the other reads it back, it is confirmed. This is how it is done in actual real life situations. If you say "yup yup yup" the entire time, you're not fulfilling your obligations.
It amazes me just _how many times_ you would have to do all of these modules to know all of their names and how they work and what info is needed off the top of your head. I can barely even imagine having knowledge that complete of the game and all of its modules. And even to the point where you don't even need help with some of them. It is crazy impressive.

The level of understanding of communication is crazy
Pure Skill
"22 dollars, and my day is now saturday" when you go overboard on your night out
I love this game because half of it is just about having solid good communication with everyone that will effectively and quickly give people enough information to solve the module.

I was yelling "slow tf down" lmao. The fact that he was typing those numbers so fast had me on the edge of my seat.
that, and he won't shut the fuck up and listen to the guy reading out the numbers, he absolutely has to say "yup yup yup" over every sequence, causing him to have to stop and ask what the numbers were again. i'm over here like "JUST FUCKING SHUT UP AND YOU'LL HEAR THE NUMBERS" lmao
It's making me uncomfortable really xd
@@ToxicKlay Weird that they actually completed this then, isn't it...
It amazes me just _how many times_ you would have to do all of these modules to know all of their names and how they work and what info is needed off the top of your head. I can barely even imagine having knowledge that complete of the game and all of its modules. And even to the point where you don't even need help with some of them. It is crazy impressive.
