This is really good tutorial thanks, I made mine into a frog by using green fabric and making the cat ears rounder then sewing on black circles to be the frog eyes
This is seriously THE best sewing tutorial I've ever followed. No extraneous detail, but no steps skipped. I made 2 of these purses at the same time and it's the first sewing project that I didn't mess up at some point. I didn't curse or rage quit even once! And at no point did I get lost or not understand where I was going. AND this is THE best way to put in a zipper...I'm going to use this method from now on! Thank you!
I don’t have fusible fleece, but I have regular fleece batting. Can I just sew the fleece to the outer fabric, or will it add too much bulk? I also have glue stick and/or appliqué glue if that would be a better bet. Let me know and thanks for the tutorial! Edit: because clarity is hard
The zipper side is larger so that coins will fit inside. If they were the same size there would be no place to put the coin as the pouch would be completely flat. Also there needs to be room to add the zipper.
My back piece is significantly smaller also. Did you figure something out Susan or just cut new pieces to the size of the front? I’m disappointed to go back that much because I’m so close to done 😔
Thank you for this tutorial! I made one and it's super cute! Giving it to my granddaughter. Hoping to make more.
Wonderful!
Very cute cat purse, can’t wait to make it!
Have fun!
Love this - just made my first one to keep my ear phones in & it’s perfect
So glad you like it.

Thank you.
That’s really cute. I wonder if I can make a fox bag bigger with a gusset for a girl’s pocketbook.
I think so. This is a pretty small pattern though.
I just made my very first small Cat Coin Purse 16:47. Is there away to post a photo? I hand embroider the face
You can post it on the Sew Very Crafty face Book page

I would use a spray on adhesive or the applique glue to avoid the extra stitches.
The back of the pouch pdf pattern is smaller than the front. A bit confusing. Am I missing something?

Cute project but would have been nice if your camera was repositioned @ sewing machine--your hand was in the way most of the time!
Sorry about that
I can't find the pattern! Help!! Please and thank you
