Rare live performance of this masterpiece should've been recorded in the highest possible quality. Some people say they're lucky to hear Showbiz or Easily, but this... this is from another planet.
it's my favourite song all the time. lyrics are just beuatiful and i have chills when he sings "I can't forgive you and I can't forget". AMAZING. Matthew James Bellamy is a genius.
Not without reason is this the song I've listened to most since Spotify started with their statistics, over 10 years ago. It's pure magic! This and Blackout (from Wembley) are... woah, I feel like I will die in peace, just from having heard those songs (and plenty more from Muse too...).
I think 20 years down the road we'll see other musicians that were killing it but were overlooked. The pop culture music industry was never all that great. It was always some sort of crappy pop done a million times. That's why with the great artists of the time, such as Pink Floyd, Another Brick in The Wall would get all the fame, and not epics like Echoes or Shine on You Crazy Diamond, because Another Brick in The Wall fits the upbeat vibe that was radio friendly(btw I'm not calling that song a bad song, it is great, its not just not one of their best, its just seen that way because of radio pop culture). Just like how this song isn't what everyone knows from Muse, its Madness. And again its not a bad song, I think its a great song, its just what gets more hype than this song or Citizen Erased because it fits the pop culture more.
It gives you not a happy feeling, not a sad feeling, but a sort of unexplainable epic feeling. Something that takes your breath away everytime you hear it. Amazing.
I remember hearing this 7 years ago live in Anaheim. I was taken back by how gorgeous his voice was. This man and band can do no wrong! Pwned by MUSE since 01
Just felt a million shivers run up my spine! Gooseys jumping out all over my body! Ears ringing with the magnitude of this masterpiece. I want to listen to this forever!
@molovesmusic567 Aping my soul You stole my overture Trapped in God's program Oh I can't escape who are we? where are we? when are we? why are we? who are we? where are we? why, why, why? I can't forgive you and I can't forget who are we? where are we? when are we? why are we in here? who are we? where are we? when are we? why are we in here?
When it was released, 15 years ago I was a kid and I was also lucky enough to have the patience to do X hours of queuing ending up in the first rows. I remember the show was exhausting because of pogos everywhere around me. But when this song was played (last 2 or 3 song of the set) I remember under the music the venue was silent like at church and totally inert, everybody looking like 😮 Update : I just realized that concert was exactly 15 years ago to the day as I write this comment, when I haven't been thinking about MUSE for months or years. I don't know about the reader but I find it awesome
@@freo2997 And it is done with violins here, they just play with a background track. I believe that guitar only duplicates notes made by violins on the track so it looks like it was played solely on the guitar.
OMG THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!!!!!!!! such an amazing performance even tho i cant completely tell what he's saying its just soo amazing i love it :D

Matt is such a musical genius...that very *rarely* appears especially in today's talentless, shallow, superficial music 'industry'..
People are too concerned about aesthetics and don't recognise good music anymore.
well he used to be at least :/ go listen to their latest single
yeah, its great.

It is the first Encore song.

@hcvideoproductions No, it's asking for forgiveness from ourselves. We destroyed the planet, we need to get it right again, on our own.
