imagine being front row at a tbdm show with your arms crossed and totally uninterested lmao this is mind blowing to see and really puts into perspective the fact that they got signed to a major label off of their first demo. trevor's influence will outlive us all. rest in peace king
haha this was me, i can't remember if i was at this show but saw many of the early shows. trevor was a friend of a friend. i was never into the music but they were always great live. trevor was one of the coolest dudes i ever met. still think about him almost every day. so sad.
this reminds me of North Carolina metal like Undying and Prayer For Cleansing, From Here On, which i will always hold those bands high. wish i could hear a copy of even a cassette fo thiss
rip trevor your music is like an old friend through my journey here, you will be missed and my heart goes out to your family, friends and anyone you have touched through your music. legendary tbdm
I never thought I would hear Trevor Strnad sing. This is great footage. I rewatched the Majesty DVD and was in both great laughter and tears. This band brought a lot of joy to my youth. I hope Mr Brian Eschbach is okay. We will miss you and cherish your memory Trevor. R.I.P metal brother
Baby faced Brian Eschbach lol. Trevor and Brian were the two constant members of TBDM and it's awesome to see how far they came and what their music evolved into. Personally, I been a fan since their first album, and for a debut album it absolutely kicked ass and every song on that album is awesome. It has always been my favorite Dahlia album. When I was in highschool discovering and getting into death metal TBDM was the 1st band I was turned on to by my friend. As a drummer, the only person I'd seen doing simple blast beats at that point was Joey Jordison.. so when I heard Cory Grady bdm drummer on unhollowed I was so impressed and baffled because I had never heard drumming like that before and never heard blast beats especially on that level of technicality and as naive as it sounds now I thought they had 2 singers because I never saw somebody switch back-and-forth between high pitched vocals and low pitch vocals. Trevor's low pitch guttural style vocals is my favorite. Like how he sings w/ low vocals on their song, thy horror cosmic. Song is AWESOME. RIP Trevor, I hope you are at peace.
Brutal from the very first day. What a blessing it is to have had the luck to enjoy his art growing up. Thank you for everything tbdm. Thank you Trevor. And my deepest feeling to family and friends.
i still love that To You, Contortionist has a breakdown and its great to watch them play it live. RIP Trevor, thank you to you and your amazing band for being my gateway into metal so long ago.
@PreservingHardcore are you the one filming? I’m right next to the camera man at these BDM shows. Good to find this in light of recent events. RIP Trevor. What a class act.
its literally so bad. its so fucking bad. Do not feel bad if you are trying hard in something and its not good yet. look at them...this start is so bad, but they kept trying until they got good. And they saw the world. the whole world.
Terrible. Metalcore / 90s hc doofues trying to play metal...sounds worse than Caliban / Heaven Shall Burn. Blows my mind how big they got. People are stupid. RIP to the singer though.
Thank you for posting this!
Thank you for fuckin with the BDM
RIP Trevor thank you for all the music and memories
Rip to a undisputed legend.

Lmao. Me literally. I concentrate deeply on the music.
Imagine seeing bdm do clean vocals….. wow….. I was surprised and impressed

0:00 This Ain't No Fucking Love Song
4:28 (And The Chorus Sang) A Dead Refrain
9:53 To You, Contortionist
14:28 The Middle Goes Down
And no idea that 21 years later they'd be one of the best live bands touring...
And, unfortunately the tragedy that would come.... R.I.P Trevor.
@@xThemisJr I'm legit devastated! I don't know how else to describe it... 🖤🖤🖤

I heard they were heavily inspired by the exact bands you mentioned here, and I agree! Excellent observation!
in 4 short years miasma was released - what i would consider a landmark album in melodic death metal.
and then Nocturnal was the magnum opus
@@SKi4o5 absolutely. fantastic album likely my fav.
Went back and listened to all the albums in order and I think miasma, nightbringers and deflorate are my favorites
Unhallowed was such a game changer. Still my favorite. Every song is great and so inspired
@@brandonharris9160 Unhallowed really doesn't get as much love as it should compared to other albums
Very insane timing this got posted just before he passed, man. Listening to these dudes growing up all in my teenage years. This is fuckin rough.
right there with you brother.
RIP Trevor, you will be missed.
Crazy how much they sounded like Prayer For Cleansing and Ashopedies here.
Rest in power Trevor
Reminded me of Fall of Troy
@@ddavis3599 bro?
@@xFuzzyxPicklesx Yes?
They admitted to loving Prayer for Cleansing and later toured with Between the Buried and Me
And all these years later, they are main stays, legends, the band that closes the show. And IMO one of the top metal bands of all time.
Imagine 5 days after this being uploaded, reading that Trevor had killed himself
RIP Trevor. 😔 my absolute favorite metal band
RIP Trevor, we’ll all miss you. Thank you for it all
just seeing this today, RIP Trevor Strnad
Rest in glory forever. A legend never dies.
Unbelievable the impact Trevor and BDM have had. RIP brother.

Holy fucking shit! 12 year old Brian! 😂🔥🔥
So weird - he looks like a different person lol
Would literally cut off a finger if I could go back in time and watch that show

Wow I was at this show! Mr. Muggs? RIP Trevor
This hurts me so much
Before the Heartburn 😂
Love it!
This actually sounds very similar to Black Metal. Mainly due to how raw and echoey the sound is. RIP Trevor. The best lyricist of all time.
in fact they were Metalcore but the one from those years that had more Melodic Death influences later they changed their sound to purer Melodic Death
@@staphylococcusaureus660 truth!
@@staphylococcusaureus660 yeah I know they started as metalcore. I'd just never heard anything by them that sounded this much like a necro bm demo.

They didn't get big from these few metalcore songs they had. They got big off of being the most consistent and best melodic death metal band
