You have my kit of choice. However, I have had a lot of success in decent light with my old faithful Nikon D300s and a Nikon 300mm f4. I add a x1.4 multiplier. The 1.4 helps me get closer for Butterflies small tamer garden birds and inaccessible flowers on trees.

I love wildlife photography, I have some photos of flamingos, white heron, stilt, ... are some of the birds that can be found in the Tagus Estuary. But I'm still a newcomer to wildlife photography and I have a lot to learn and your videos are an inspiration to me.

I would be terribly interested in hearing your opinion about the different tipes of photography like with food or without, in parks, zoos or in wild... where do you draw the line and what is and isn't wildlife photography. I do not have a fixed opinion and I'm very interested in how other people see this thinks, I guess in the end it's all subjective but still interesting to find out.
Thanks for commenting! For me wildlife photography is about many things. My main is sharing the beauty and show people all the greatness we have, and the importance of taking care of it. Second is the creative part of it. For me it is OK to put out food to the animals and birds in the autumn and wintertime. Because they have a hard time finding food. Of course you have to maintain that, because they depending on that then. In summer when they nest I stop. When feeding the wildlife I can create and be creative in making pictures. And that for me is very exciting. How I can use elements to create moody and stunning pictures. For me parks, and specially zoo is not interesting at all. For me it needs to be wild. But that is me :) But I also like the other part of wildlife photo, where you can sneak up on deers. And maybe sit and wait on them to come to you. That is also really exciting. I really appreciate your answer, thank you! I appreciate all kind of photography that is not harmful to the animals. The only thing that bothers me a bit is when the photographer is not specifying or not sincere with the story behind the photo. For example when buying a print or deciding in a competition, a photo of a stag that was taken in a park will not have the same impact on me as a photo of a stag in a place where you have to do considerable more amount of work to get one, and if the story is not presented or is changed I think it's not fair for the photographer who put in all the work. Anyway, I can also appreciate a zoo photo if it's clearly stated that's a zoo photo and it is not presented as a wildlife photo. Thanks again for your answer!

I do try to film wildlife with my dslr as well as taking photos but switching shutterspeed/aperture settings can be a bit of a issue so I understand using a vlogging camera on top of that can be a bit tricky. haha.
