(It looks like its closed and in there while you drive but want to confirm). 2. Do you have a link to this awesome phone base that you have there on the dash? Thanks!
Thanks for your support. Yep, this fits in the HS lid fine. I bought mine from Taobao which is Chinese only. You can find similar on Temu. Search "Temu Gravity Car Phone Holder".
Hi Jerry, thanks for this video. Since 1 month I am the owner of brand new MG4 Luxury (Netherlands) and happy with it. I want to get my CarPlay wireless. So far tried 3 different brands of dongles but all 3 have the same issue. Initial setup works fine but when I switch of my car and later try to connect again it will not connect automatically. My question is if you know if it’s MG4 SW related. My release is R40. Do you know of newer SW solves this issue ? Thanks for your reaction 👍🏻 By the way: wired CarPlay works usually fine. Sometimes connection drops but in most cases automatically reconnects. Using a high quality USB cable.
I bought one of these about a month ago but it doesn't work well. It did set up easily and quickly as you described but when I use it there are problems. When I'm driving and use my indicators the car cameras switch on automatically and show the side of my car (MG ZS EV 2022 version LR ). This is a useful safety device but when I switch off the indicator the infotainment screen goes to the default screen and does not go back to the Google maps image. I can still hear the Google voice directions but no image is on the screen. The same happens when I put the car into reverse and the back camera comes on. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Sounds like an issue with the vehicle’s interface or logic. This unit goes with CarPlay system and it doesn’t overwrite anything related to the function of the screen.

Hi Jerry. Every now and then, my automatic headlight malfunctions. This is for an MG ZS Turbo. For the function to work again, i have to bring it to the dealership, and the dealership performs a ‘reset’. Would you know any hack that i can do on my own?

Sadly, I don't think the newest software updated it but I will keep trying.

How about audio latency? Is there any delays with the audio when playing videos using mobile phone?
Yes, all wireless adapters I used will have audio latency. This one is no exception.
Sorry forgot to ask - can you close the lid over the USB ports on the HS with it plugged in and stored inside?
Yes, you can close the lid on the HS with this one.
just a silly question is this just for iPhone or can you Bluetooth an android phone and play it through apple car play?

It should do. It supports all cars that have carplay. You don't need any wifi connection
