Must say, the Dr's phone ringing in the middle of the show was hilarious! And, I wouldn't be surprised if that's turned into a meme soon! Lol... But, I thoroughly enjoyed everyone's analysis and different perspectives. Ta.
Every Media house has an agenda. The problem with that is when the media becomes a mouthpiece and a watchdog for certain individuals only. The ought to be a balance whereby different voices and different ideologies are accommodated at every house. The media should not have a position. They should be similar to judges in terms of how they hold ethics dear. A media that is weaponised by politicians and private interests is a threat to society. It's a tricky situation, because behind the media there are people, people have biases, have ambitions, with ambitions temptations tend to be prevalent. And those with money and power can serve those ambitions, then society suffers.
SABC offers a "Neutrality" Platform for such discussions....Like the Model of a similar regulatory watchdog and case studies on #PPP arrangements and the G element in #esG lobbying and PR firms. The reality is if the biggest SOE (Eskom) in SA ,if not Africa, already has problems supplying Energy to the Public more Private funds will required on their primary "Product" being Energy instead of 100% Privatization
We dont have media in SA but Propaganda Machinery and SANEF is captured
Amabhungane seems to be avoiding a lot of these interviews makes wonder about their transparency
