I just beat her! It took me many, many tries to get each part down (the run up to the R1 combo, the R3 + L3 button press to the L1 + Triangle button press, and everything afterwards), but I did it! I wasn't able to do it without dying, but the Berserker's Resurrection Stone, along with switching to Fury, helped to finish off that last bar of health. Seriously, thank you so much for making this guide. Hopefully, everyone who plays God of War: Ragnarok sees this guide and/or any of your other guides for this game.

ok , so I stumbled upon your channel after throwing myself at the brick wall named gna , saw the build and decided to try . I could not get the 5iming down and she always moved , I was at it for a couple dozen tries , until she decided to stay still and do the wing shield thing , after that I eviscerated her with the build , kudos man very insightful step by step guide

I didn’t get it perfectly, but the massive damage I inflicted was enough to manage a less than 1 minute win, as she was left with less than 1 HP block. Keep up the fine work!

I usually beat her with the Ares/soulsteal/infinite rage combination or with the 9 realms/infinite realm shift build, but beating her faster like this was something I always wanted to do, unfortunately with most other videos I just couldn't replicate the results, but this one made short work of her.

thanks for this bro. in my initial playthru I played on give me no mercy. considering I never even played any gow game (2018 included) it was pretty challenging enough but I committed and 100% the game all on my own no hints. on my ng+ playthru I chose give me god of war and right as I was about to finish that I lost my save data bc I never hard saved. 3 time around w gna I'm done w her bs I just wanna finish it she's literally the last thing I need to do and you made it a whole lot easier for me! so again, ty dude
Never have I beat a valkyrie or a major boss faster I had the berserker cuirass + waist and lundas bracers. Only used valor once after getting to her - for some reason she would start her attack if I used it any time before closing in.. but woah she died so fast! You the goat man

This video helped me to beat Gna on my first GMNM NG+ run. I didn’t have your stats or the memento of the ailing so I used a slightly different variation. Took me about 2 minutes but I didn’t take any damage and hitting her with the storm of bifrost, poison, relic, melee attack was very satisfying.
"This is the way." It's not explicit in the video, but using rage and the realm shift to break her next attack animation is too clutch. Not sure I could've beaten her on ng+ w/o these tips-thanks dawg.

Wonderful guide...i've found that another thing that can help Is equip the gauntlets and belt of Ares, activate the first rage (10seconds of +50% damage) and than equip the Lunda and proceed as the video. It boost the damage a lot at the beginning

I finally managed to kill her thanks to your guide, since I didn't use that r1r1r1r2 combo, I didn't have it buffed as you so I have to change the dauntless shield for onslaught to have a bit more luck to do more damage with the vanaheim set and even if it didnt kill her in 15 seconds at least got it in 40 seconds, thank you.
I keep wondering why I do so little damage to her. I was under her level. I can get her to 60% health at most and she seems impossible. After this video, I’m gonna beat her soon. Can’t wait.
I have the same exact stats as you do, but after my first 4 attacks my permafrost is not built up all the way. It takes me one more hit. What could be causing this?

I did just one lore video but didn’t get much reaction to it. So I didn’t follow. I know for a fact that Atreus is looking for Giants outside the 9 realms and Freyr is alive in the Higher Plane and maybe in the next game or after that, Kratos might sacrifice himself trying to save Atreus’ life and end up going to the higher plane as well where Athena is. I have slightly lower strength than you and also same momentum in axe melee attacks. Somehow I never get the permafrost bar full after the run. I do exactly like what you did. Does rng affect a lot?
Permafrost build up needs to be added to the skill tree. Add it to the F+X, R1 skill (can't remember the name). Then do as I do and it should fill up completely.
@@akhafasuyeah I did. Maybe I’m not fast enough. The best I could get was 80% of her health and then I died. But I’m beat her soon because I can take the rest of the fight fair and square.
@@akhafasu well. I somehow loaded the wrong manual save, which boosts only sonic arrows (not enough to inflict status on her). I just beat her with exactly what you showed. Thanks dude, you’re a life saver.
I followed this sequence to the tee but was never able to deplete Gna's HP even after the third axe combo. There's always a sliver of HP left. When that happens, I revert to my old tactic of hamming her with all my runic attacks until something hits and pray that she doesn't kick my assguard😂
Is it me or did they completely changed the effect of sigil punishment accessory? It used to buff attacks against hexed enemies while now seems to simply increase stun damage
@@akhafasu i'm talking about an accessory called sigil punishment, which used to increase the damage against hexed enemies and was very powerful to demolish bosses like gna or hrolf in under a minute. The problem is that, after finishing the game once, I started a NG+ and now that I have to face Gna once again I checked for that accessory but it has a completely different effect. Did they simply changed its effect cause it was too powerful (like they nerfed the stonecutter knob for example), is it a NG+ thing or is it just a very unfortunate bug?

I have the same exact stats as you do, but after my first 4 attacks my permafrost is not built up all the way. It takes me one more hit. What could be causing this?
You need to do a specific attack with forward X, then R1, R1

I think you gain a +10 to +15 to your stats. So every NG+ would add up and make you more OP!

I know for a fact that Atreus is looking for Giants outside the 9 realms and Freyr is alive in the Higher Plane and maybe in the next game or after that, Kratos might sacrifice himself trying to save Atreus’ life and end up going to the higher plane as well where Athena is. @@hb_thadigitaldrumma that’s probably because you didn’t open all Nornir chests or collected Yggdrasil Dew or completed Across the Realms quest - all of which permanently removed increase your stats. This video is from my second playthrough. See this:

I have slightly lower strength than you and also same momentum in axe melee attacks. Somehow I never get the permafrost bar full after the run. I do exactly like what you did. Does rng affect a lot?
Permafrost build up needs to be added to the skill tree. Add it to the F+X, R1 skill (can't remember the name). Then do as I do and it should fill up completely.
@@akhafasuyeah I did. Maybe I’m not fast enough. The best I could get was 80% of her health and then I died. But I’m beat her soon because I can take the rest of the fight fair and square.
@@akhafasu well. I somehow loaded the wrong manual save, which boosts only sonic arrows (not enough to inflict status on her). I just beat her with exactly what you showed. Thanks dude, you’re a life saver.

I followed this sequence to the tee but was never able to deplete Gna's HP even after the third axe combo. There's always a sliver of HP left. When that happens, I revert to my old tactic of hamming her with all my runic attacks until something hits and pray that she doesn't kick my assguard😂

Is it me or did they completely changed the effect of sigil punishment accessory? It used to buff attacks against hexed enemies while now seems to simply increase stun damage
Are you talking about the sonic and Sigil arrows?
@@akhafasu i'm talking about an accessory called sigil punishment, which used to increase the damage against hexed enemies and was very powerful to demolish bosses like gna or hrolf in under a minute. The problem is that, after finishing the game once, I started a NG+ and now that I have to face Gna once again I checked for that accessory but it has a completely different effect. Did they simply changed its effect cause it was too powerful (like they nerfed the stonecutter knob for example), is it a NG+ thing or is it just a very unfortunate bug?

@@Abraham-c7m5f in NG+ you can craft them army the shop using gilded coins. You get these coins by upgrading your equipment
