Todos los cantantes q ha nombrado tenían la voz bien colocada y eran auténticos tenores di forza. Como dicen los italianos. Su color era natural. Domingo en sus inicios era un tenor lirico puro, pero se empeño en oscurecer la voz engolando la voz y emitiendo una voz q no era la suya. Esos tenores eran tenores verdaderamente preparados para abarcar ese repertorio.
Yo si le creo a placido domingo, nosotros los seres humanos funcionamos exactamente igual a una maquina y los excesos llevan al deterioro, quizás alguien como krauss y su inigualable técnica lo haga tener una mayor resistencia pero el resto que no llegue a esos niveles debe cuidarse. El hombre por naturaleza no es de tener la voz aguda y un B4 ya es una nota de muy alta frecuencia. Lo que quiere decir que un (C5, R5 o M5) dadas como debe hacerlo un buen tenor son notas realmente extremas y que cada vez que se ejecutan son maravillosas pero al mismo tiempo un exceso para las cuerdas vocales de cualquier cantante. Domingo creo que se refiere a que el tenor no debe exagerar en esas notas pq con los años, el hacer sobre esfuerzos le daña la calidad de la voz, esas notas deben durar tiempos cortos y justos sin pretender querer demostrar nada más, si quieres cuidar tu voz de la forma más correcta. El ejemplo más claro de las palabras de domingo esta en los cantantes populares que han llegado a tener grandes registros, pues no hay uno que se salve, al no tener una buena técnica y cantar canciones que llegan a notas como C5, R5 o M5 por estos excesos en tan solo 6 años la calidad baja a un 40% y eso le ha pasado a todo buen cantante popular, lo mismo pasa en la opera si se llega a los excesos no serán 6 años pero en 20 ya no sonarán ni a un 70% de sus inicios. Pues, no llegamos a la tierra con una cantidad limitada de notas agudas, las cuales se gastan por cantarlas... Eso es un mito y P. Mingo lo dice dado su escaso dominio técnico su excesiva tendencia a empujar las notas. Para quienes hemos entendido la forma "Fácil" de producir la voz no hay dificultad alguna, un C alto no es un exceso si no se empuja, de hecho es una nota más cómoda aún que un A4... Todo depende del cristal con que se mire.

Desde mi punto de vista Florez es un tenor excepcional pero... nunca será ni el sucesor ni un segundo Pavarotti, entre otras cosas porque son voces totalmente diferentes. Pavarotti es un tenor lírico-ligero ya que en su carrera abordó papeles de tenor lírico como de ligero e incluso de spinto y dramático. Florez tiene una voz muy personal y una coloratura de voz más aguda por lo que de momento no abordaría "bien" un papel de dramático o spinto. A lo mejor dentro de unos años podrá hacerlo. Por otro lado, Domingo dice que si se abusa en exceso del DO es perjudicial e incluso para la técnica... jajaja Decirle que en parte tiene razón, porque como decía mi maestra "agudo que sale no entra" pero todo está en tener cabeza y apoyar correctamente las notas en máscara, eso no significa que perjudique la técnica vocal. La interpretación de "Ah! mes amis", es ideal para un tenor lírico ligero como Juan Diego Florez, quien con su timbre rápido ideal, calidad vocal, proyección de su voz, buen dominio de técnica en sus notas altas y buen francés, pisa más fuerte en esta aria que Pavarotti, que lo hace muy bien.
Duele pero es cierto, a Juan Diego le sale impecable y sin dificultad, Pavarotti quizá no tenía la misma facilidad para hacerlo que flores pero definitivamente cuando lo hacía era increíble.

“La Fille Du Regiment” no es de nadie, si hay que adjudicar al “Re creador” definitivamente es Pavarotti que la grabó por vez primera para el marido de Sutherland, pero si hay que elegir perfección definitivamente son el y Kraus, pero entre ambos hay una gran diferencia, Kraus decía que el giro en la voz no existe, Pavarotti si lo hacía, por ello la voz de Alfredo era más grande, porque no la giraba, de Natura el ya tenía ese bello color, Pavarotti si giraba (el duró 6 años aprendiendo a hacerlo) y lo hacía estupendamente, en su caso el giro en los agudos le daba brillo a la voz, algo raro de conseguir sobre todo en esas notas, en el caso de P.Dingo, el siempre se ha considerado un Barítono con agudos, el si gira, pero su giro es para oscurecer el sonido, no para cubrir bien las notas, incluso cuando canta “Rigoletto” se nota el color claro natural de Placido, es un Tenor que gira para sonar a Barítono (en una copia a Del Mónaco).

For men's choir and concert choir men's tenor counterparts the lyric tenor, leggero tenor, and countertenor voices correspond closely to a first tenor part. The dramatic tenor/heldentenor voices are tenor voices that are almost baritones and spinto tenor voices sing alot of dramatic climaxes enough that their tessituras are low which means the Wagnerian heldentenor, Verdian dramatic tenor, and spinto tenor voices correspond to a second tenor part.

Where is Domingo or Carreras' performance of "AH! MES AMIS"? Nada? Nunca? Niente? PAVAROTTI IS INDEED THE KING. The high Cs of Flores are very good but not as powerful and as stirring as that of Maestro Pavarotti.
Singers come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Most opera singers being stage personalities are good looking and trim. Corelli and Carreras are just two examples. Pavarotti is an outlier because he was so fat. He was also a full voiced lyric tenor - not a dramatic and not a leggero. The part of Tonio was written as a stock tenor role at l'Opera Comique. It was not Grand Opera but Comic Opera and the tenor part was written for a high light tenor. Pavarotti said at the time of his debut that he was the first tenor "with a voice" to attempt the part. So Pavarotti was also claiming to be an outlier in vocal range. The legend is that Sutherland assumed that the part of Tonio would be transposed down. But Pavarotti thought he could do it on pitch and in full voice. And as it happened - he could. I was singing in Traviata a few years ago when I met a chorus tenor who claimed he could sing a G above High C. He probably could but his voice was so small that I couldn't quite hear him even when he sang right beside me. Most very high tenors are tiny guys. Just as most basses are about my size (6'4" and 300 lbs). Pavarotti was famous first for being tall. Bonynge and Sutherland recruited him because he was tall enough that he looked sensible standing next to her on stage. He also had a relatively high voice appropriate for Bel Canto. But he was never the "King of the High C". There were several tenors who reliably sang higher than Pavarotti. These included Mario Fillipeschi, Nicolai Gedda, Alfredo Kraus, Salvatore Fisichella, and Chris Merritt. I heard Pavarotti sing "Di Quella Pira" live from my regular seats - his C wasn't that great. But Pavarotti was a pioneer. Now every tenor gives "Mes Amis" a try
I should point out that the best tenors usually can't sing a High C at all. And those that can seldom sing one live on stage. The best tenor I've ever heard was probably Jon Vickers. No C. Domingo has been the best tenor around for many decades. No C. James King - a phenomenon live on stage. No C. Caruso seldom sang a C either. Big voices are not the highest voices. For example Brunhilde's seldom sing The Queen of the Night. There are a band of sopranos who sing the super high parts and who usually never sing the mainstream Puccini or Verdi parts at all. Similarly there are these tenors who record themselves singing High C's but these are seldom the same tenors who sing Cavaradossi or Rhadames. Pavarotti was special because he was the exception. He was a full voiced tenor who could sing that brutal tessitura. Some singers can stretch higher or lower than others but most have about the same range from top to bottom. So Those who can go higher usually are shorter on the bottom. The 'correct' type voice for this little song is probably Camerena's. He is a true high tenor. He sounds so much better than the mainstream tenors like Alvarez who strain to sing the top notes. People forget that there is a whole other high vocal category above tenor - counter tenor. These guys sing usually in the alto range. For them a High C is easy. But no one wants to hear mainstream opera sung by such voices. I heard Julius Caesar (Handel) sung with the eponymous part done by a counter tenor. I remember the soprano (Carol Vaness) but not the Caesar. The public doesn't want to hear men singing in that range.

Tenía unas cualidades d natura bárbaras , pero no sabía matizar en muchas óperas, confundía las medias voces con el falsete. Cantaba muchas cosas totalmente fuera de estilo. Tenía dificultad para la coloratura, no sabía cantar Mozart ni repertorio Francés, además de cantar óperas como Otello, Ernani, Idomeneo y otras muchas sin el estilo apropiado. La fille para empezar la canta con una diccion de parvulario y los agudos no los conoca bien, suenan gritones y apretados.
Florez is magnificent, but Pavarotti is the master of this music. You need a fat sound, and both Florez and Kraus, both magnificent musicians, don't have enough chest in the voix mixte.

Canta bien pero no me gusta su timbre de voz tan agudo y con falta de cuerpo, me quedo con la versión de Kraus un millón de veces. No hay ningún tenor capaz de cantar todo, cada uno debe adecuarse a los papeles de su timbre y este aria como no sea un lírico ligero no la puede cantar. Hoy por hoy el más completo y versátil me parece Kaufman y su timbre de voz casi de barítono me parece precioso. Luego por arriba sube como un lírico y lo mismo canta Wagner, que ópera francesa o italiana e interpretando a Mozart me parece estupendo.

Domingo hasta en la sopa. Si no cantó en su puta vida este papel . Eso de q no hay q abusar de los agudos lo dice por èl pq nunca los tuvo. Lo q hay q tener es una buena técnica, cosa q Domingo nunca ha tenido., con su voz engolada. Florez ha sido un excelente tonio, pavarotti no coloca bien los sobreagudos del aria, es una voz de natura pero suenan grititos los nueve Do. Adrmas de tener una pésima dicción del frances. Kraus por supuesto es el mejor con diferencia en el papel de tonio.
Domingo "naciò" como tenor segundo cantando zarzuelas .Con su propria tecnica alcanzò, con gran esfuerzo el si bemol y, a dura pena, al si natural.Pero no me siento de criticar mucho a ningun cantante.Cadauno tiene su "pregi e difetti".Pero cantar la Opera muchas veces y por una vida es entras las cosa mas dificil del mundo.He oido a Kraus decir que para ser un cantante lirico debe tener sobratodo una salud de hierro.

Qué se puede comentar ante esta maravilla? Solo podemos sentir placer por escucharla!!!
Todos los cantantes q ha nombrado tenían la voz bien colocada y eran auténticos tenores di forza. Como dicen los italianos. Su color era natural. Domingo en sus inicios era un tenor lirico puro, pero se empeño en oscurecer la voz engolando la voz y emitiendo una voz q no era la suya. Esos tenores eran tenores verdaderamente preparados para abarcar ese repertorio.
Yo si le creo a placido domingo, nosotros los seres humanos funcionamos exactamente igual a una maquina y los excesos llevan al deterioro, quizás alguien como krauss y su inigualable técnica lo haga tener una mayor resistencia pero el resto que no llegue a esos niveles debe cuidarse. El hombre por naturaleza no es de tener la voz aguda y un B4 ya es una nota de muy alta frecuencia. Lo que quiere decir que un (C5, R5 o M5) dadas como debe hacerlo un buen tenor son notas realmente extremas y que cada vez que se ejecutan son maravillosas pero al mismo tiempo un exceso para las cuerdas vocales de cualquier cantante. Domingo creo que se refiere a que el tenor no debe exagerar en esas notas pq con los años, el hacer sobre esfuerzos le daña la calidad de la voz, esas notas deben durar tiempos cortos y justos sin pretender querer demostrar nada más, si quieres cuidar tu voz de la forma más correcta. El ejemplo más claro de las palabras de domingo esta en los cantantes populares que han llegado a tener grandes registros, pues no hay uno que se salve, al no tener una buena técnica y cantar canciones que llegan a notas como C5, R5 o M5 por estos excesos en tan solo 6 años la calidad baja a un 40% y eso le ha pasado a todo buen cantante popular, lo mismo pasa en la opera si se llega a los excesos no serán 6 años pero en 20 ya no sonarán ni a un 70% de sus inicios. Pues, no llegamos a la tierra con una cantidad limitada de notas agudas, las cuales se gastan por cantarlas... Eso es un mito y P. Mingo lo dice dado su escaso dominio técnico su excesiva tendencia a empujar las notas. Para quienes hemos entendido la forma "Fácil" de producir la voz no hay dificultad alguna, un C alto no es un exceso si no se empuja, de hecho es una nota más cómoda aún que un A4... Todo depende del cristal con que se mire.

De los nombrados por usted, como tenor heroico me quedo con Correlli. Si domingo nace en esa época hubiera sido un tenor del montón.
Desde mi punto de vista Florez es un tenor excepcional pero... nunca será ni el sucesor ni un segundo Pavarotti, entre otras cosas porque son voces totalmente diferentes. Pavarotti es un tenor lírico-ligero ya que en su carrera abordó papeles de tenor lírico como de ligero e incluso de spinto y dramático. Florez tiene una voz muy personal y una coloratura de voz más aguda por lo que de momento no abordaría "bien" un papel de dramático o spinto. A lo mejor dentro de unos años podrá hacerlo.
Por otro lado, Domingo dice que si se abusa en exceso del DO es perjudicial e incluso para la técnica... jajaja
Decirle que en parte tiene razón, porque como decía mi maestra "agudo que sale no entra" pero todo está en tener cabeza y apoyar correctamente las notas en máscara, eso no significa que perjudique la técnica vocal.

La interpretación de "Ah! mes amis", es ideal para un tenor lírico ligero como Juan Diego Florez, quien con su timbre rápido ideal, calidad vocal, proyección de su voz, buen dominio de técnica en sus notas altas y buen francés, pisa más fuerte en esta aria que Pavarotti, que lo hace muy bien.
A Flores le debe salir mas natural porque el aria es para un tenor ligero, pero a Pavarotti le sale mas bello e impecable que a nadie.
Duele pero es cierto, a Juan Diego le sale impecable y sin dificultad, Pavarotti quizá no tenía la misma facilidad para hacerlo que flores pero definitivamente cuando lo hacía era increíble.

Different type of tenors has different advantages and disadvantages. Just because he hasn't sung it himself doesn't mean he's not qualified to talk about it, I mean he has over fifty years of experience in the scene, not just as a singer, but he has also conducted over 500 performances and is also working as the general director of an opera house.
I know that. But even in dramatic tenorparts there are some high C's and sometimes even Db. For Calaf you have to sing a C in the duet on the stairs. As much as I love Domingo's voice and musicality. His high notes have always been questionable!

“La Fille Du Regiment” no es de nadie, si hay que adjudicar al “Re creador” definitivamente es Pavarotti que la grabó por vez primera para el marido de Sutherland, pero si hay que elegir perfección definitivamente son el y Kraus, pero entre ambos hay una gran diferencia, Kraus decía que el giro en la voz no existe, Pavarotti si lo hacía, por ello la voz de Alfredo era más grande, porque no la giraba, de Natura el ya tenía ese bello color, Pavarotti si giraba (el duró 6 años aprendiendo a hacerlo) y lo hacía estupendamente, en su caso el giro en los agudos le daba brillo a la voz, algo raro de conseguir sobre todo en esas notas, en el caso de P.Dingo, el siempre se ha considerado un Barítono con agudos, el si gira, pero su giro es para oscurecer el sonido, no para cubrir bien las notas, incluso cuando canta “Rigoletto” se nota el color claro natural de Placido, es un Tenor que gira para sonar a Barítono (en una copia a Del Mónaco).

You're still both wrong. If the music was using the treble clef then, yes, it would be a D. However, the music is using the tenor clef. Pause at 20 seconds and you'll see the clef.

The key notes for a leggero tenor is usually high C, D flat, D, and E flat with some going up to high F. A lyric tenor high B, C, D flat and D. Both have to make high Cs. A spinto tenor limits up to high B flat and B with some going to high C. Italian Verdian dramatic tenors and German Wagnerian dramatic tenors or as they call them heldentenors, limit up to high A, B flat and B natural with some going to high C. Most heldentenors, dramatic tenors, and spinto tenors don't always have a high C as their key note. Their ultimate notes rely on high B flats and high B naturals as their key notes because their tessitura is not as high enough in contrast to the tessituras of the lyric tenor and leggero tenor voices. Even though for male voices the bottom voice is bass and the top is tenor which means baritone is at the middle voice for choir counterparts for all satb pieces soprano is the top and alto and tenor are both in the middle and bass is the bottom. For men's choir and concert choir men's tenor counterparts the lyric tenor, leggero tenor, and countertenor voices correspond closely to a first tenor part. The dramatic tenor/heldentenor voices are tenor voices that are almost baritones and spinto tenor voices sing alot of dramatic climaxes enough that their tessituras are low which means the Wagnerian heldentenor, Verdian dramatic tenor, and spinto tenor voices correspond to a second tenor part.

Alfredo Kraus fue el tenor más perfecto y con más técnica para cantar cualquier obra. He escuchado "Ah Mes Amis" por Pavarotti y no me convence pero esto ya es opinión de cada uno.

Alfredo Kraus is the best in this role.
Singers come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Most opera singers being stage personalities are good looking and trim. Corelli and Carreras are just two examples. Pavarotti is an outlier because he was so fat.
He was also a full voiced lyric tenor - not a dramatic and not a leggero. The part of Tonio was written as a stock tenor role at l'Opera Comique. It was not Grand Opera but Comic Opera and the tenor part was written for a high light tenor. Pavarotti said at the time of his debut that he was the first tenor "with a voice" to attempt the part. The legend is that Sutherland assumed that the part of Tonio would be transposed down. But Pavarotti thought he could do it on pitch and in full voice. And as it happened - he could.
I was singing in Traviata a few years ago when I met a chorus tenor who claimed he could sing a G above High C. He probably could but his voice was so small that I couldn't quite hear him even when he sang right beside me. Most very high tenors are tiny guys. Just as most basses are about my size (6'4" and 300 lbs).
Pavarotti was famous first for being tall. Bonynge and Sutherland recruited him because he was tall enough that he looked sensible standing next to her on stage. He also had a relatively high voice appropriate for Bel Canto. But he was never the "King of the High C".
There were several tenors who reliably sang higher than Pavarotti. These included Mario Fillipeschi, Nicolai Gedda, Alfredo Kraus, Salvatore Fisichella, and Chris Merritt. I heard Pavarotti sing "Di Quella Pira" live from my regular seats - his C wasn't that great. But Pavarotti was a pioneer. Now every tenor gives "Mes Amis" a try
I should point out that the best tenors usually can't sing a High C at all. And those that can seldom sing one live on stage. The best tenor I've ever heard was probably Jon Vickers. No C. Domingo has been the best tenor around for many decades. No C. James King - a phenomenon live on stage. No C. Caruso seldom sang a C either.
Big voices are not the highest voices. For example Brunhilde's seldom sing The Queen of the Night. There are a band of sopranos who sing the super high parts and who usually never sing the mainstream Puccini or Verdi parts at all. Similarly there are these tenors who record themselves singing High C's but these are seldom the same tenors who sing Cavaradossi or Rhadames. Pavarotti was special because he was the exception. He was a full voiced tenor who could sing that brutal tessitura.
Some singers can stretch higher or lower than others but most have about the same range from top to bottom. So Those who can go higher usually are shorter on the bottom. The 'correct' type voice for this little song is probably Camerena's. He is a true high tenor. He sounds so much better than the mainstream tenors like Alvarez who strain to sing the top notes.
People forget that there is a whole other high vocal category above tenor - counter tenor. These guys sing usually in the alto range. For them a High C is easy. But no one wants to hear mainstream opera sung by such voices. I heard Julius Caesar (Handel) sung with the eponymous part done by a counter tenor. I remember the soprano (Carol Vaness) but not the Caesar. The public doesn't want to hear men singing in that range.

@@Un_Gordo_De_Derecha Pavarotti no tenía una técnica perfecta. Era vago a la hora de estudiar. Èl mismo lo dijo en una entrevista. Tenía unas cualidades d natura bárbaras , pero no sabía matizar en muchas óperas, confundía las medias voces con el falsete. Cantaba muchas cosas totalmente fuera de estilo. Tenía dificultad para la coloratura, no sabía cantar Mozart ni repertorio Francés, además de cantar óperas como Otello, Ernani, Idomeneo y otras muchas sin el estilo apropiado. La fille para empezar la canta con una diccion de parvulario y los agudos no los conoca bien, suenan gritones y apretados.
Florez is magnificent, but Pavarotti is the master of this music. You need a fat sound, and both Florez and Kraus, both magnificent musicians, don't have enough chest in the voix mixte.

Canta bien pero no me gusta su timbre de voz tan agudo y con falta de cuerpo, me quedo con la versión de Kraus un millón de veces. No hay ningún tenor capaz de cantar todo, cada uno debe adecuarse a los papeles de su timbre y este aria como no sea un lírico ligero no la puede cantar. Hoy por hoy el más completo y versátil me parece Kaufman y su timbre de voz casi de barítono me parece precioso. Luego por arriba sube como un lírico y lo mismo canta Wagner, que ópera francesa o italiana e interpretando a Mozart me parece estupendo.
Amigo una pregunta no se debe a qué el cantante latino es más joven y por eso es más agudo de lo normal ?
En algún momento no le llegará un pequeño cambio predictor de la vejez . ?

I don’t care for Placido because he never was a tenor, NEVER. He was a lyric baritone. BUT, he was right in this case, why hold the top notes so long all the time? It is very high! Even with perfect technique, it is too many frequencies and stress on the vocal cords! Now, Juan Diego Florez is totally burned out, his top a very wide wobble! Singers need to be very careful.

Domingo hasta en la sopa. Si no cantó en su puta vida este papel . Eso de q no hay q abusar de los agudos lo dice por èl pq nunca los tuvo. Lo q hay q tener es una buena técnica, cosa q Domingo nunca ha tenido., con su voz engolada. Florez ha sido un excelente tonio, pavarotti no coloca bien los sobreagudos del aria, es una voz de natura pero suenan grititos los nueve Do. Adrmas de tener una pésima dicción del frances. Kraus por supuesto es el mejor con diferencia en el papel de tonio.
Domingo "naciò" como tenor segundo cantando zarzuelas .Con su propria tecnica alcanzò, con gran esfuerzo el si bemol y, a dura pena, al si natural.Pero no me siento de criticar mucho a ningun cantante.Cadauno tiene su "pregi e difetti".Pero cantar la Opera muchas veces y por una vida es entras las cosa mas dificil del mundo.He oido a Kraus decir que para ser un cantante lirico debe tener sobratodo una salud de hierro.
