Brian used to be a regular at my work. One day i mustered up the courage to tell him what an amazing skater and person he is. He drew me some cool artwork, signed it, and gave it to me on his way out. Legend.
You gay too?

@@paceyourself5652 You sound like a crazy person. I hope you get the help you desperately need.
Great story, i had liver failure and paralyzed from the waste down from being an alcoholic. Im a year clean, healthy liver and walking again 👍
Good shit man ya got this
Great work proud of you
Sober 7 years ❤. Best gift I’ve ever given to myself.
97 days no booze today, Brian is so fucking killer. On board and in soul.🎸🎸
Im 19 months sober in part because of this guy. The hard work is just now happening in concerns with reconciling with the past. Sobriety is the key to get everything I want in my life. I wish it wasn't, but at least I had the courage to figure it out and stay sober.
Congrats man! Proud of you, 19 months sounds like a rollercoaster
@@randomshit65 Thanks! Yes, its definitely been. Especially during tough points of stresses and not running to the bottle or partying to get away from it.. just got to face life head on.
@@noahdyedotcomdid u go threw withdraw? Physical withdrawal I mean
I’m also 19 months Sober, keep it up
Are u also gay?
Rlly appreciate this dude letting Brian talk, not just try n rush to each topic
A good man
Met this dude at a girl demo in Melbourne. He was off to the side chilling and playing skate with kids. Absolute legend
Peace, society needs more Brian Andersons and ed Templeton 100% good solid compassionate awsome dudes ✌🏻
Crazy to hear him talk about Ed. Obviously he’s a great guy and not a surprise, but don’t hear as much from other pro’s the real grown up impact they had cause of him
BA is a living legend. Props to him for opening up about his journey. ❤
This is great. Real information with no bullshit. Doing a service.
Love B.A he’s one of the greatest in every way.
Respectable on all levels
Grew up watching you skating, Brian andreson is the fucking truth. Thank you for sharing your story.
Saw Brian skating w/some guys at LES a few months back. Super friendly guy. Still rips!
Awesome 🔥 props to everyone going sober. To echo his comments, alcohol is dangerous to withdraw from especially if you are deep into it, its in fact the most dangerous substance to come off (alongside benzos) - opiates are hard and extremely uncomfortable to come off but it won’t kill you. There is a risk of death and seizures if you come off too fast, its called delerium tremens - so do be careful and its always good to seek support. But at the same time if you do know whag you are doing and have someone around and take it slowly i’ve seen people stop like this, but would always advise getting help.
Thanks BA this video helped a lot!
I remember the time he's talking about a friend of mine was at a bar in Greenpoint and said BA was there chilling with their mutual homies but not at all drinking that day or anymore. Great to see he's doing so well! This is inspiring.
Truly amazing and inspiring
1 year no booze 2 years fentanyl free ✅
BA, what a legend! Well done, Sir.
Much ❤️✊ to the 🛹 legend. Loved watching BA skateboard 🔥❤️🔥🔥
Huge Legend. He's very influential to my life. 😂
I've skated with him too. The ramp over the water. I was on my Blades actually. 😂
I was in one of his former or current friends Health class. Her name was Ms Wilson. She played his Welcome to Hell section when it was fresh on tape in class. 😂
My friends were skaters, Marcus, Chris, Rhett, Katie. Fitch Middle. I have always been into sneakers, when I heard he was with Nike after MANY of his sneaker models released, I could only manage to grab a pair of Project B.A. And I had Dinosaur Jr's. Again I would kinda luck into the ones I found or would come across as opposed to looking for specific models. I keep skating because it blows my mind to this day the era I am privileged to be a part of. Like the first full skate video I saw was welcome to hell, like hell yeah Toy Machine knuckles are etched into my brain. I'm glad he's still doing well.
Such a cool guy. Met him at a.vans event. A real ripper.
day 30 off the sauce. Thanks for speaking hope BA.
Hell yeah dude love sober people
Brian is also one of the few pro skaters who worked a real job before pro, most have never worked a day in their lives

Goat ❤️
respect! 5/23, epson salt baths are magic to the highly sensitive person
Dam what a great story.
I thanked my bones. And they were like, it’s all good brah
Northeast US has a very crazy relationship with alcohol. What’s considered normal drinking habits there is full blown alcoholism in the rest of the country.
❤
🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️
BA!
I have Welcome to Hell memorized :)
rad
B.A. Is the coolest
I remember on the anti hero x girl trip (beauty and the beast) he threw up and it was just all blood, that is scary for sure

you cannot die from an opiod withdrawal ... that's always the benzodiazepines, tranquillizers etc that trigger the strokes.
i know what i am talking about ... i am on and off opiods since 15 years.
True, sure can feel like it tho
Wrong. Actually there’s been instances of people dying from opiate withdrawals because their body couldn’t handle the shock.
@@ButchLotus1 its possible but only usually with comorbitities and it isnt shock that kills you its a heart attack from shitting and puking so much
Came here for this. Benzodiazepines are closest to alcohol in terms of dangers when getting off of them. More so than opiates.

Thought he was taller than 6 ft 4
Gay or not! You can’t take this dudes skill away and what an impact he has made in skateboarding and for skateboarding!

What about Mike Maldonado I bet they are partners
Why does everyone feel a need to post a comment on the number of days they've been sober? Why would that interest me? This isnt a sobriety contest. Go to an AA meeting if you want a pat on the back. This ain't the spot. Stop counting days. You're setting yourself up for disappointment. Look at your overall sobriety batting average. It's easier to get up when you slip looking at it this way.
Why would your interests matter to someone commenting? As if they care about some bitter rando.
@finnmcginn9931 You're right. That was unlike me. I was in a mood 🤦♂️ Forgot about that comment.
@finnmcginn9931 I just noticed you said Bitter Rando. God damn.. what I have I become? That dude with an attitude in the comments. You know you're in a bad way when you start talking ahit in the comments. Caught myself a few times. I usually acknowledge when I'm wrong or out of line. That doesn't excuse that kind of immature grumpy old man behavior, lol.
Never trust a big guy who takes it up the shitter!
Looking back he always seemed super gay he really didn't hide it that well his skating is what made him seem not gay but BA always was sus shout out to the Queen.
aww james
Gay dude😂
Brian is a legendary skater. Who are you? Oh that's right, nobody.
Melekey the used tire IQ dude😂
Are you a middle schooler? Even my 7th grade nephew is more mature than you.
