That place looked amazing and you can’t beat the morning birdsong in the woods!!! So glad the whole family enjoyed it, thank you for sharing it with us all!! 😃
Thanks for sharing. My favourite place to camp is a nature reserve that allows camping, very much like where you were. I think it’s brilliant way to enjoy camping.
Excellent Jon 😀. I’m glad the family outing went well… possibly because of fine food being served… MREs may not have impressed quite so much 😉. Miss Camping Astronomer’s enjoyment will have been enhanced by not having lions outside the tent, as experienced my Mr and Mrs C.A. in times gone by 😳 (or was that tigers ?)
It was great. Miss Camoing Astronomer was kept awake by what we think were 2 foxes having an argument outside the tent at 2 am. At least it wasn't lions though 🤣🤣
It was lovely and I look forward to going back. It would be a good place to test out new gear aswell. Thank you for taking the time to watch, I really appreciate it 👍 🙂
Much enjoyed it, John! It’s sad there’s no similar facility in the wild or campsite here, not to say a near composite toilet like that, which I’ve got much surprised at. Have been looking forward for too long to a hiking there in the wild Britain. Nice to experience falling sleep to the chirps of insects and waking up by birds’ morning call. Don’t know when it could realise.
Nearly wild camping is a good way to introduce people to camping in the wild - things like camp drill is not something you want to practice for the first time on a windswept moor;) If they enjoy they will come back for more - if not the damage done is not so bad:)
