The one important thing that you've forgotten about modern cars is planned obsolescence.
All of the new cars have it regardless of what brand.
And as stated I've owned the late model Isuzu, You modify it and yournew car warranty becomes an utter nightmare.

There is no doubt that it is horses for courses. I see both sides of the argument. But reliability is key for me.
